Solo Dad day in Santa Fe, why did Jenn stay back at the bus?

- Have you ever tried to write a book? That’s what I’ve been doing for the better part of a year and it’s hard to do it when you have 8 other living things vying for your attention.
Since we hit the road doing bus life, we have seeing a couples therapist, individually and together. Growing our couple and our relationships with our individual selves and our kids has always been the first priority.
We took out the word “babysit” when it came to Kyle taking care of his own children so I could have time to work uninterrupted or take time for my individual self. Neither one of us are more responsible for our kids than the other one. When either of us need our time, it’s called “parent on duty”. Whichever is the POD, the kids bring their questions and needs to, so the other parent can work uninterrupted.
Kyle came to me and suggested he take the kids solo on adventure day this week so I could stay behind at the bus and work on writing my book.
Each Thursday we have a day out in the world with the kids, as a family making memories. We found that having a scheduled family day a week gives us the opportunity in our busy days to make dedicated memories, and that’s important to each of us.
In today’s Vlog, Kyle loads the kids up in the jeep and makes the 1.5 hour trek to Santa Fe, New Mexico with the kids. Various advent and fun memories await you as you experience bowling with them, go shopping for a very special gift for Molly’s friend, and check out some spooooooooooky finds!
While you’re adventuring with Kyle and the kids, you’ll also be popping in with me around the bus as I write, make lunch, and take a little bit of time to chat with you.
It’s going to be a day of love, learning, and most importantly REAL LIFE 🫶

Best wishes with your book. Having a rough time here. Car repairs for both vehicles and two mouths that need dental work. All more expensive than our senior income but I know I'm not the only one in that boat.

Eli LOVES this thing! I wasn’t super impressed by the quality of the prints, but ultimately he loves it and it’s a great little first camera for him.
Homemade oat milk--1/2 C- 1 C oats, Medjool dates(1-2) dates, pure vanilla extract . Water, and cinnamon. Blender this and chill. It may separate as it sits, just shake container. Use within 3 days or so. Make to taste.

That would be a good family Christmas gift a air hockey table . Put wheels on it so you can roll it up into the shed and stand it up against the wall and fold the legs in so it's out of the wsy and when you want to play unfold it roll it out to under the shade tree and run a extension cord out to it .

I hate grocery shopping and cleaning the bathroom.
That yellow on yellow sure was pretty on you Jenn. Personally I like unsweetened coconut milk. I also use unsweetened walnut milk, but it was an acquired taste for me. Oh yeah, on the last video, you were making scrambled eggs for the kids. I forgot to mention that I add a splash of water before stirring with a fork. You can still add butter too, but it makes surprisingly fluffy eggs. Just a thought if you haven't tried it before. Take care Framily

I used to work at Coach in those Outlets and for a short time I was managing that Sunglass Hut and the one that used to be in Santa Fe place. It looks like Spirit is where Nike used to be. The Outlets took the place you've passed on 25 towards Albuquerque. There's that large abandoned shopping center between Santa Domingo and Bernalillo on the west side of 25.
Anyways, the Outlets have always been pretty empty but Coach was one of the main anchor stores that kept people going there. I only found out the other month it looks like they are no longer there so I can only imagine how empty it is now. I worked there 13 years ago and it's sad to see it as empty as it is. It has such a neat feel to it especially during the holidays. When I was there that food area had a bakery and oh my goodness did they have some amazing stuff. It was a 2nd location to the main one but I forget what the name was.
I can't recall if you all visited Meow Wolf yet. It's in Santa Fe where an old bowling alley was.
I would think you have to write in piece. If not you would have a word salad and your publisher would say What's this??

Dairy alternatives: hemp milk, almond milk, cashew milk, coconut milk. To me, cashew tastes the best but the right oat milk is great. I rotate and try different ones. Nothing quite like whipping cream in coffee but…….😂
