Why do youtube host put music in their videos at the same time that they are talking? The music (no matter the particular tune) gets in the way of paying attention to whatever they are talking about. Really, please stop doing it. It is adding nothing positive to the video. And, no the closed captions never work perfectly, and besides, that means one has to read the screen instead of watching the actual video.
AND it makes it very difficult for the hearing impaired

Quite a lot of flat roofs have long used a membrane and stone. Those planter things should be quite a bit lighter.
Why? Obviously roof structure would be evaluated prior to any modification so unless some unanticipated exogenous event occurs should not be problematic.

Birdsskip= add a bunch of wind power taps to them and use them as a wind powered back up, it mightnot keep the solar panels clear in winter, but it just might keep them clear a lot longer and generate a bunch of supplemental power too?

Exaust vents, swamp coolers, skylights, GAF, and several others in the video are well established roofing and venting components just showing new versions of old technology. I came up with the passive fiber optical solar light idea many years ago but couldn't find anyone to help produce it. It's almost exactly like my configuration, hopefully it isn't being done by someone I spoke with.
I feels you. Many people actually copied lots of my ideas back then without giving any credits to me, so I prefers to just keep it to myself nowadays.

The evaporative air conditioner is not new, in fact the Coolgardie safe was the original version of this. It does how ever waste a lot of water - up to 5 litres per hour - which if you live in a dry area is a lot. Reverse cycle is better, more efficient and produces water which can be collected to flush toilets, or water the garden.
A Suncat skylight will do what the Parans does for much less money.

I can tell you some of these things won’t work, depending on where you live. Gutter guards don’t work in areas where snow and ice freeze in the eaves trough. The leafs and needles become a minor problem by comparison. The lightening rod idea will blow those lightening resistors right off the wall and make you a target. Our well was hit 8 times… we have experience with lightning
So is Quietcool just a whole house fan?
At the rate shingles have to be replaced, the shingle solar panel doesn’t make sense.

Do not pile a bunch of dirt on your roof. Plenty of people have and then the roof collapses because it was not rated for the load. When you do solar you need to consult an engineer to beef up support.

the fiber optic lighting was made long time ago with a one bulb system then it disappeared. even just a 1 bulb system would be helpful when sun goes down the bulb kicks in. but these day if we go smaller use less we only need 100watts to light a whole house, bulbs are 7-9watts which is plenty of light for each room, just gotta start thinking to use less, i remember when 100watt bulb was used for 1 room so we are doing great on saving power in our houses its just its we are wasting to much in other areas with mass production , machines , just internet and data is starting to eat upto 10-25% of world power a day. alot of data we dont even need to be storing, but there selling it making a profit why we get nothing.
can I ask the rest of the class a question ? how much cooling can you get with dark ( or even a light colored metal ) vents & or evaporative cooling systems mounted on the rooftop verse a system placed either on the dark side of a structure ( in the shade ) or better yet beneath a structure ( say in a basement or crawl space ) . ding ding ding that's right in the shade. & yes I know I'm right as I live in the high desert & after buying my place moving that box off the roof It was like going from a evaporative system to a actual air conditioned system ) Oh & how would the makers of that wather graber system like to loose the cold shutdown problem ? yep but as I said I don't work cheap .

I live rural west Texas, the only game in town for birds to crap on everything I have. Birds are a nuicence for me. I like the water from the air machine, but too expensive, $2,500.

IMO problem with green roofs and walls your house will be infested with bugs
birds , yet another reason why solar as currently designed & used is wrong . But as a part of a well designed system it can work at a much higher level of production, cost less to maintain, reduce heat ( due to all these black patches, reduce visual ugliness of the same ) produce power 24/7 365 in most if not all locations, be scalable for comercial as well as residential applications . when you all get real about fixing the green renewable energy problem you need only to reach out to me with real appropriate financial officer . Even it you'd just want me to greatly improve the design , efficiency & reduce bird kills of these large reflecting solar farms I can. but I'd rather sell you a all around better designed system. Oh & if you can get Elon Musk on board I can cut my price , as I'd like him to start off his Mars colonies on a truly green basis so they need not resort to nuclear or any other harmful & potentially dangerous systems. I've got the answers but I don't work cheap .
