That, among other reasons, makes this DLC kind of feel like a mod to me. It doesn’t make the game feel more complete, I feel like it did the reverse in a way.

That spear really is press L2 to win lol. I hadn’t seen the orb spell yet, it looks awesome! Ive been doing a cosplay fire knight and was pleasantly surprised by how well the fire knight seal scales at high faith. I really like fire serpent, but rain of fire is hot garbage which I’m sad about.
man you gotta add those other messmer aows with the fire knight weapons, they're too cool to pass! Also trade some of that faith for stamina for the love of God
something i love about the fire serpent is how great it combos with Rykards Rancor. i put up the flaming skull as a distraction and immediately use the serpent and it lands 9/10 times.
@@rabbitsinthemoon9183 oh im RL150 i run 40 40 on faith and int with the gelmir staff and the order seal. its probably not the highest damage i can be getting but as someone who loves the magma sorceries ill try anything to make them work lmao. i also got 60 vigor and the other stats i put into my minimum weapon requirements and mana/stamina. im using the cold Lizard great sword but im sure theres better weapons. im just a fan of the lizard lick 😂
Seems like going Dex/Faith is really one of the go-to builds in the DLC lol. So many options for Dex and Faith users, as well as quality. Would adding Radagon’s Icon help with casting speed for Messmer’s orb? It’s pretty strong but seems really slow
That soreseal at 150 is nuts. You could just not have your faith at 80, perhaps you could even drop your incant boosting ring for malenia's hand which gives you 5 dex and a dmg boost for your ash of war. Soreseal is really not worth it under any circumstance over level 80 or 90.
I explicit say I advise against using it, I just chose to do so in this video cause I wanted high damage output on incants and the AoW. It is that simple.
@@rabbitsinthemoon9183 Still, there are better solutions I think. Not that I'm saying your build doesn't work, but soreseal contributes to making it a one trick pony. If you had faced more competent players instead of the average PvEr you'd need more survivability. You got nearly 2 shot by every Kevin in the video. I have a similar build at sl138 and it works pretty well. Just my 2 cents though
Are you gonna make a video with the knight lightning spear? It's also buffed by the death knight Armor Surprisingly effective in PvP it either hits fully or they dodge the first and the other lightning spears get them got a few wins with it already

I wish there wasn't so many niche magic types. Oh boy, a an outfit to boost blood magic, when there's only 6 of those spells, maybe. I'm really disappointed in the lack of pure magics, most new spells need faith to cast. I was really hoping to see some glintstone magic kinda themed faith spells because of miq's knights are carian knights who learned faith. There is 14 new sorcery spells, at most 9 spells that need an intelligence req, the other 5 need faith.
I think they filled up on int/faith because the basegame had so many pure int spells. I would also have wished for more but still happy with what we got🙂

@@alfonsocruz61004 weeks late, maybe use catch flame and flame sling with faith infused morning star. Also be vagabond class because it’s level-efficient (7 arc and 9 int) compared to prophet (7 int and 10 arc) so you have 1 level point free to choose
I wouldn't see why tbh. Yes, it is good, but I also experienced RoB gamerelease state and it doesn't compare. It is easily staggerable and also dodgeable. Death Knights Axe is another story, check out my next video, 1 clip will show what I mean. It is just so strong.

Not proud of it but I need my 80 faith. Prefering 1v3 requires as much damage output as possible, there are always ways to dodge enemy attacks, not doing enough dmg is a real problem though.
i don't know for PvP but in PvE , the spear loons like a good looking weapon but bad weapon sadly. the spear base moveset outside the ash of war, kind of s*** in addition to the not crazy damage and the fact that you will never be able to end the crazy aow combo against most ennemies in the game. Do yourself a favor buy the messmer orb instead the spear. at least you can kill malenia with it.
@@Alucard4337 been using the spear so far in pve and it's alright. The light attacks are pretty basic but the charge heavy and ash are pretty solid. I have a Dex/faith build ATM so my dmg is a little mixed but it's working for what I need right now

Damage is damn low my +7 gets just 49 damage on a normal and just a bit more on a charged throw, doesn't seem worth it just use the first part of the L2 as heavy
all you really need is orb and assault. serpent spams pretty decent but all i got out of this montage is that spamming orb and assault just gives you a free rune arc, absolutely busted pvp stuff here, the other skills/incantations are pretty obsolete tbqh

I can do about 1-2k per light attack, and just have high poise and you won't get knocked out of the ash, it's crazy I'm on ng+7 and bullied all base game bosses and threw the dlc bosses into lockers, you just gotta know when to attack, if you dont think you can get the whole ash out you can do the first which has range because of the fire and it hits for about 3-4k depending on your buffs. It goes crazy just got to be mindful yk

Nah the most op shit is still from the base game that's why the average NPC player still runs around with white mask dual curved bleed swords / rivers / moonvheil dual hammer jump spam, greatsword jump spam or they spam the same 3 spells everyone uses Way too less ppl actually give the Dlc stuff a chance and just stick to what they know and works well

It should... But it's probably better to use it as a sneaky spell, otherwise they might just keep interrupting you...
Both Radagons and Godfreys work with Messmers Orb since it is chargeable. The noncharged version is pretty fast!
dex/faith/arc has always been one of the best archetypes, top 3 imo along with dex/int, str/fai

Ngl the L2 spam was getting pretty aggravating, you never threw the spear once 😭, that mechanic is so cool
Remember this was my first time using the weapon so the video was also for testing out the AoW to find out what are the do's and don'ts.
The spear throw is pretty shit tho deals barely any damage and the recovery is too slow

This is incredible, but the radagon's soreseal at lv150 is awful. It's really not worth it, unless you need it for minimum requirements.

the tiny orb auto target. the big one when you jump in the air can be tilted in a direction at the last minute
