Just before the stop and reposition the guy in blue had his opponents leg trapped with his legs and was turning to the Inside, that is a knee reap. It puts a ton of pressure on the knee for the person who's leg is trapped. The end result could be really bad for the person who's leg is trapped.
One time I was in a tournament and I heard a kid yelling "Go, Dad!", and I just let the guy win (without it being obvious); the kid was stoked for his pops...
I honestly thought the same thing. Other than him sitting on the mat, which wasn’t even that big of a deal, he was well-behaved. Also, that one minute warning is crucial for us bigger guys, so kudos to little man for that!
For me, and granted this is just my personal preference, I have a hard time hearing my coach as it is, I don’t need further distractions, especially from a higher pitches voice which will cut through most of the sound. As for the minute warning he gave, my guess is that he was already winning points and in a dominant position, it was more so don’t let the other guy know he has to make a move, that or he may have relaxed and gotten submitted if he thought time was on his side. Not sure though, just my educated guess
I got a kick out of it around the 2 min mark. You were pulling one of those “I don’t know how I’m gonna get out of this” moments lol. Great match man. Position before submission! Good work
@@ሕያው Youre right he did say he trained a year before this. But now its 3 months? 4 stripes? It took me a year and a half to get my 4th stripe. I know every gyms different but 3 months is INSANE.
"way to go eric"
"yay go dad!"
"shhhhh shhh shhh"
😂😂😂
First time I've seen a referee not instantly DQ on the knee reap. Great job by him by just adjusting and explaining.
can you explain what the knee reap is ?

@@williamwatson3580 Thanks ! Coincidentally, i just learned what the knee reap is yesterday in my gym ! :D
That kid is being an awesome corner. That's fantastic.
Don’t know why the little kid at the beginning saying ‘go daddy’ was being shushed. I’d like my kid cheering me on.

Sheesh, let the kid cheer their dad on!
Rollin so hard you set the alarm off.
White belt scramble

That take down roll @ 0:40 very nice 👌
The commentary was second to none.
UFC are going to be head hunting someone in the near future as their next MC😘
You did really good, subbed right away
Kick ass Eric! Much props to you
Ref needs to take his hands out of his pockets and do his god damn job. smh
what'd the ref do wrong lmao
remember when you forgot everything you were taught and made some shit up... 2:52
lol that's me every class
0:38 that didn't look like a white belt to me!! How long have you been a white belt?
xpat73 I had started training a year before this tournament.
guard pull sweep was beautiful man, haha you were happy at the end. good work!!!!
Nice work!
DeathIsLight that wasn’t a pull guard sweep. That’s called a Tomoe Nage which is a sacrifice throw in Judo.
That’s a basic sweep bro. Where do you train?
good fight !
Nice bro
Sshh shhh shhh... 😒
no one even attempted a sub how lame to much stalling haha iwouldnt feel good about that win
If it was sub only, I'm sure there would have been many more attempts. If you don't maximise the given rule set to win, you're being foolish.
Any videos of yourself subbing anyone in a competition im sure everyone here would like to see
This guy talking shit about white belts. lol...
No disrespect, but the style of both of these players annoyed me. All flail. No thought.
randyc750 it’s a white belt match my man
This is terrible Jiu-Jitsu. Might of won for points, but that’s all he did.
I was a 3 month white belt. What have you done?
@@ericguerra8154 3 months with 4 stripes on your belt?! 🤔... unless you're gifted, you wouldn't be a 4 stripe in 3months.
Or am I missing something.
Jorge Torres ay that’s a bit sus
@@hooverboy2747 lol in another comment he said 1 year training 😂
