I won myself a copy of The Reading List from the library during their summer reading program. Haven't had a chance to read it yet, but it sounds like I'll enjoy it. Thanks for your review!
I haven't read Cultish but it is going on my list right now! I feel like the book could have gone a bit deeper but it was still really interesting and thought provoking 😊
Sounds like busy times lately! Your project is beautiful. I love all the different colors & textures. So glad you enjoyed The Reading List. The collection of ghost stories sound great, especially for fall. Sorry The Three didn't work for you - that might be because there was a sequel, so perhaps they didn't wrap up enough in book one (I read it so long ago that I don't remember!).
@@savagereads You did mention your long tbr list in the Q & A. 🤣 LOL I am gonna try for the first time to read some more "fall" atmospheric reads this season, but if I had to recommend I say try this book Called Deep Water by Patricia Highsmith and The Virgin Suicides by Jeffrey Eugenides. Both were great in my opinion.
Wordslut sounds really interesting, it reminded me that years ago I read a book called The Unfolding of Language by Guy Deutscher which explained the historical reasons for certain things we say which was super interesting. I should get more linguistics books because it is always really interesting and language changes so quickly.
The Unfolding of Language sounds amazing! I didn't know that linguistics would be something I would be super interested in but now I really want to learn more 😊
Wordslut is intriguing. I read her other book Cultish and loved it, especially the language cults use to create an "us" and "them". But I quickly DNFed her newest book, The Age of Magical Overthinking because it felt poorly researched. I was on the fence to try wordslut but I reinterested in it.
Great vid! For language books i recent read Says Who? By Anne Curzan and its all about how "language rules" and grammar are sort of made up and codified (or not really lol) over time and how they change and stuff like that.
Great progress on your project. Plus reading. Plus company. That’s a lot of success. 😊💙
It has been such an amazing summer! But so busy. It will be nice to get back into a good routine when school starts 😊
Your creation is coming along beautifully. I love all the nature vibes, the colors and texture. It’s very cool.
Thank you! I am having a really fun time. I have been thinking about this project for the past year so I am so glad to be working on it!

Thank you! I would love to know what you think of Wordslut if you get to it 😊
Oooo I'm also looking for a solid ghost story rec so this is great! Your project is beautiful by the way!
I really liked these so I hope you enjoy! Thank you 😊

Project is coming together nicely! Are there any fall books you'll be getting to these next few weeks 🍁
Thank you! I am not great at seasonal reading. I usually just read whatever comes up next on my TBR 🤦♀Do you have any recs for cozy fall books?
