@brianhardy612 When we want to. We never were a movie reaction channel. Hell, our first movie reaction wasn't until 2021, and we've been doing the channel since 2015.
If I remember correctly, last season Frontman said he didn't care about the organ stuff as long as they kept the games fair by not giving info on what's next.
3:06 Frontman even had y’all convinced he wasn’t watching Dalgona game😂😂😂 he already knew what shape 456 had which makes the scene even funnier on rewatch
Considering that he plays most hated villainous chauvinistic roles in other shows, it's refreshing to see him be on the good side -- and he pulls it off. He was cast against stereotype.
this episode and the next is my fav ones of the season. rewatching it all with you guys feels like i’m watching it with family! your commentary is so fun to watch, keep it up fellas ❤
You are assuming that they figured out in season 1 that the games they were playing were the ones drawn on the wall, but they never figured that out. Some viewers picked up on it and others read it in trivia or learned from others, but the chatacters in season 1 never made that connection, so Gi-Hun wouldn't know to look at the drawings on the wall to figure out the games
Also they clearly changed things around this year like being able to vote after each round and keeping the money from each round, how do we know the drawings are even on the wall anymore ? Especially with Front Man knowing Gi Hun is back and more suspicious this time
@@miIIie. I believe the conversation you are referring to is from episode 3 after they return to the games, and are trying to figure out the next game. Gi-Hun begins to list off all kids games he can think of, but no mention of the drawings on the wall are made. I've had this same discussion with friends, who swear up and down that someone made this connection but it never actually happens. I think this is kind of a Mandela effect going on, where they see maybe a reactor mention it or have a discussion about it but getting it confused with what actually occurred in the show itself. And then upon rewatching, find the dialogue is different from what they remembered. In the end, you would think someone would figure it out, but the only time someone actually correctly predicts the next game is when Sang-woo figures out the melted sugar is being used to make dalgona. The doctor was given the information so he didn't figure out tug of war. Beyond that, it is not shown anyone predicting the next game in advance correctly.
@marcr3977 that scene is in the beginning of the show and the games, im not talking about that one. im talking about the scene at the end where gihun, sangwoo and saebyeok go back to the room after the glass game. The guards took all the beds of the players who died and left only three for them, and gihun then looks around the room and sees that all the games they played were drawn on the walls. He notices it, we can see him looking at all the drawings. But he probably forgot about that since its been 3 years since it happened.
@marcr3977 i also think its super weird that none of the other players looked around that big ass room and noticed the drawings 😭😭 that would be the first thing that i would do, like "hmmm let me see what the hell is on that wall and behind these beds"
I think we might be seeing a breakthrough with Frontmam here. He genuinely liked the applause after he went after the thugs, he felt a bit like a hero. I think he's going to star seeing things like Gi-hun sees them.
I really don't think any of the players noticed the games on the walls last season because none of them commented on it, ever. Also, when Gi-hun played the game the first time, the front man said he didn't care if the "pink soldiers" sold body parts for extra income. He only cared about the "fairness" of the games and that all players played under the exact same conditions. There is so far no indication that he has changed his mind about that.
I think the Front Man is fine with doing some off the books money making scams, just as long as it doesn't make things unfair during the game. Previous workers who were giving the player/doctor in the first season clues to keep him alive was against the "spirit" of their fairness rules.
this episode had me so stressed for my misfit group (expect witch lady) i literally had to pause and continue the next day bc my blood pressure was spiking lmao
16:19 Good pickup. Last season, I think they were thorough about having the contestants be bare-boned with respect to their possessions. I think this was a deliberate choice by the writer/director to have them keep their accessories (and feature them so prominently on the players) this time around to allow for/justify the molly scenes. Plus, in removing all possession last season, it allowed them to showcase Sae-byeok using her sleight of hand to smuggle in her knife and Mi-nyeo using her sleight of "lady pocket" to smuggle in her smokes. And I hear that the actor Top refused to film a scene of him pulling a cross out of his ass (j/k). p.s. As a story-point, it made more sense to be more thorough last time too because the players were returning after having voted to leave. And that gave them the foresight to try to smuggle in contraband the second time around. Going in blind, folks would not think of doing so beforehand. I can see a world where they allow players who were fortunate enough to have "tools" on their person to allow them to retain them in the games. p.p.s. 24:29 And I agree about this plot hole. I wondered the same thing. Though I think Vanessa has a point about Gi-hun not thinking he had to check. He's more resolved this time, but he's not necessarily smarter. In this season alone (due to the way the writer/director had to pace out the reveals), Gi-hun's behavior was dictated by assumptions he was making. He didn't speak up about having played the game before until he was almost left with no choice. He didn't think to check if the tooth tracker was still there until (I think) he didn't see his team's drone flying above the Red-Light-Green-Light field. He didn't announce that "eliminated" meant "killed" until the game was underway and he realized the cavalry wasn't coming. I guess we'll see. If he survives this game, perhaps it should occur to him to check the walls before the next one.
Its not really much of a surprise the games change. This is all for the entertainment of the VIPs. Watching the same games over and over would get boring. Plus in season 1 the VIP's didn't know what the glass bridge game was when they were shown a model of it, so that was a clue already that this was a new game to them. Maybe the red light, green light is the staple for the first game since its a good way to eliminate a good chunk of players in one go, but the other games vary year by year.
Can anyone recommend me a channel who actually re watched the first season or atleast watched a recap before watching this second season? Because the "non effort hype reactions" are starting to get annoying and unbearable to watch
I do think it was. A big mistake showing frontman’s face in season 1, takes the shock factor, away as a viewer, when they most likely reveal who he is to the characters, woulda been so much better us trusting him and then we get stabbed too haha
@@KCohere33 just have that happen off screen or somethin, he takes the mask off, screen cuts to the mountain cliff or water and then u hear the gunshot. Simple. It just woulda made a more shocking factor but then I guess it’s fun watching knowing he’s bad the whole time
@@JHolland Yeah, no. This whole plot line wouldn't work if we hadn't already known his identity. People already associate 001 with the bad guys, it would have been so predictable. Also they already did that on season one with Il nam? If they repeated it again it would lose so much impact, It's just so much better this way. It's so much more fun knowing that he's already bad as it makes his actions more interesting to watch. Also that awesome reveal at the end of episode 3 would not have worked if we didn't know his identity. Season two has some issues but this is definitely not one of them.

Yeah I feel like he doesn't mind because his wife had needed a transplant. I could be wrong...

Gihun saw the games on the wall on last season. He saw it. Theres a whole scene about it.
