This talk is a personal reflection on humanism, a dynamic tradition and lifestance. Participants will read diverse texts on the human condition, genealogies of humanist thought, and the possibilities and challenges of realizing a humanism for all. Throughout, we will consider humanist orientations from people of the global majority.
Speaker Bio:
Anthony Cruz Pantojas (they/them/theirs) is the Humanist Chaplain at Tufts University. Anthony has been recognized with numerous awards, including an Interfaith America, Interfaith Innovation Fellowship and spearheaded an initiative for global majority first-generation emerging spiritual, ethical, and cultural leaders in college.
Musician Bio:
Jes Schneider is a singer/songwriter from Houston, Texas. Through songs that resonate from the soul, Jes reveals his passion, love, and desire for music combining elements of rock, blues, country, and folk with his powerful vocals.
