15:11, 16:11 Hearing Camellia talk about Godzilla and being interested in some of the lore brings me joy. I just love hearing someone who I enjoy watching get into my favorite character. 🤗
Matthew was so lucky. To this day I wonder if there simply was someone really savvy on the Bud Light marketing team to salvage this into a win for everyone involved or the U.S. government actually gave them an incentive to throw the rave in Vegas and reduce the potential problems. Either way would be kind of funny, ngl.
I'm curious about the PornHub side of it. since the "took $70,000 worth of sponsorship money" part is about money they gave them prior to Bud Light showing up
I do remember this being a thing along with some meme updates here and there but interesting to see what the results were. Just a good time all around with 1 casualty of a fine and an unintended cancellation of an official event due to everyone going to another one lol.

I used to live in Arizona in the 90s and uh yeah it was actually normal then to see things in the sky. I know a lot of people have gone there whole lives without seeing anything and i haven't seen anything in a long time but back then in that location it was a fairly normal event.
@@camellia_vt Specifically that was only the 1998 Godzilla. The Godzilla movies after 2014 changed it again, but those ones are truly Godzilla in spirit. No one debates that Monsterverse Godzilla isn't really him. He's my personal favorite in fact. :)

I think there is live out there, but it's so incredibly far away we'll never encounter it or even detect it. And if it did find us we're cooked, anything advanced enough to do that would see us as barely above amoebas.

Clarification: you mixed up like 3 different godzilla origins, the 1954 Godzilla was a result of nuclear testing and turned some lizard into Goji and the whole movie was anti nuclear weaponry meanwhile Monsterverse Godzilla (the one we see in current American films) is simply an existing entity that was always a big lizard Also funny that every time I see someone watch this video no one points out that Roswell and Area 51 are swapped on the map lol
Although worth noting we know what it actually was that crashed now. And it was, funny enough, actually a sort-of weather balloon. Specifically it was a weird piece of tech that monitored sound vibration at a specific altitude. Some guy found that there was a specific depth band underwater where the density above and below caused a phenomenon that let sound waves carry really, really far; so they developed a bit of tech to use that for crashed military pilots over the ocean, where they'd drop a device which would ping out at that depth, and then multiple monitoring stations would triangulate the pilot position. But they barely if ever used it before WW2 ended. Naturally curious they went looking and found that the same kind of phenomenon happened at a specific altitude in the atmosphere as well, and made use of it by sending up multiple balloons which would monitor at that height to, essentially, triangulate when and where atomic/nuclear weapons testing was happening across the globe; big, loud explosions happening up in the atmosphere where it would conveniently carry the sound at that height. The reason they were so cagey about the details at the time, was the extremely simple fact that they didn't want other countries to know they had that kind of information. So they say it's a weather balloon, but stuff doesn't line up, but they also won't let people see the parts, and you get people making up whatever they think fits. But before long that technology was irrelevant and they could monitor in much better ways. But the details remained secretive for a good amount of time because there was still no reason to disclose any of that to enemies i.e. in the middle of the Cold War era.
"If you're obsessing over conspiracies maybe play videogames" Never thought I would hear someone recommending videogames with such a boomer vibe, the tone alone makes videogames sound so uncool.
