A look around in Toscolano Maderno at the Garda Lake in Italy with a short visit to the oldest church of the town which has a remarkable painting. "The Madonna of Toscolano" by the painter Andrea Mantegna. The painting was made in 1490 and is one of Mantegna's most famous works. The painting shows the Virgin Mary with the Child Jesus on her lap, surrounded by angels and saints. The painting is painted in the Renaissance style and is of great artistic value. The piece of art was purchased in 1928 by the municipality of Toscolano Maderno and hangs in the old church of the village ever since.
