Great vid so I thought I'd do the list of the mods here: 1. "Calamity Mod" itself, obviously, that's why we're here 2. "Calamity Mod Music" adds new origininal soundtracks for calamity bosses, an amazing mod. 3. "Infernum mod" is a calamity add-on that makes the game really hard, reworks bosses, vanilla and calamity both. Not for the faint of hearth, but a must if you love challenge. 3.1. "Subworld Library" is a required mod to run infernum. 4. "Remnants mod" apparently adds new world gen, I've never played with it, and I'm not sure that it would work with calamity's world gen. One way to find out, eh? 4.1. "Structure Helper" is a required mod to run remnants. 4.2. "Wombat's general Improvments" probably the same thing. 5. "Terraria Ambience" great mod to immerse yourself in the game, adds a lot of new sounds. 5.1. "Ambience API" guess what it does. 6. "Lights and shadow" better shaders, looks great and works well. Most of the time. 7. "Colored damage type" makes your damage have a specific color depending on the damage type/class. 8. "Summoner UI" a mod that makes it easy to see how many summoner slots you have and how many are filled. Love it. 9. "Aequs' shop quotes" makes npc's talk about the items they're selling when you hover over them. Okay, I guess. 10. "Better Blending" Makes more different blocks blend, saves a lot of annoyance for the builders. 11. "True Tooltips" Haven't used it, but seems useful, tells you the exact amount of swings per second and goes into more detail about the items effects. 12. "Melee effects +" adds a different swinging animation for melee attacks. 13. "Improved movement visual" well, improves characters movements from a visual standpoint. 14. "Armament display" makes your held weapon appear on your back, *BUT* it also adds a new swinging animation, so I'm not sure about it's compatability with melee effects, you can change it in the config, there is also a Lite version. 15. "Cheat Sheet" all sorts of cheats 16. "Hero's mod" all sorts of cheats, not sure why you'd use them in a normal playthrough. 17. "Recipe browser" an actual must have, shows recipies and ways of obtaining items, if you don't want to visit the wiki or/and the guide every minute, download immediately. 18. "Boss checklist" a must have as well. Shows all bosses, ways of summoning and drops. Some functions are (or at least were) broken, but should be automatically disabled in the config. 19. "Luiafk reborn" a LOT of QoL stuff. 20. "Quality of Life" adds once again, a LOT of QoL stuff, highly configurable. 21. "Magic storage" absolutely essential, allows you to have a one giant storage, instead of hundreds of chest that you have to rummage through like the little loot goblin that you are. Can get a bit laggy when you reach thousands of items, but it's not that bad. 22. "No pylon restrictions" removes pylon restrictions. Place wherever, teleport whenever. 23. Alchemist NPC (lite)" adds many useful npc's, no they're not useless, and you can fight me on that. Well.. some are. Anyways, some sell potions, some sell blocks etc. etc. 24. "Point shop" basically kill mobs in specific biomes, buy biome related accessories and items. 25. "Worlgen preview" Allows you to see your world get created in real time, if you're not sure about compatability or just want to see the world, use it, nobody wants to spend hours in a world to realize that the ocean or hell is completely broken. Texture packs: 1. "Calamity texture pack" changes vanilla looks to fit the calamity vibe a bit more, not for everyone, but I like it. 2. "Stormdark UI" inventory dark theme.
Now that the video is out of the way, I'll add my own suggestions. 26. "Vanilla Calamity mod music" is one of the greatest, changes almost ALL vanilla ost to fit calamity, the soundtracks is beautiful. 27. "Infernum mode music" adds even MORE music, god I love it. 28. "Unofficial Calamity whips" adds whips made out of calamity materials/dropped from bosses. We summoners deserve all the love we can get. 29. "Calamity's Vanities" adds vanity stuff obtained with calamity materials 30. "Catalyst Mod" Another calamity add-on which brings back the good old Astrageldon slime and new items. 31. "Calamity Flamethrowers" rangers get some love too. 32. "Calamity Craftable Shrine Items" allows you to craft the items you usually have to excavate half of the map for. 33. "Any Accessory in social accessory slots" allows you to place any accessories in vanity slots. (Will become useless after tmod 1.4.4) 34. "Advanced world generation" more ways to tweak your world gen. 35. "Unlimited buff slots" unlimited buff slots. (probably useless after tmod 1.4.4 as well) 36. "Starter Class" gives you a bag that you can make into one with items for a specific class to get you started. (calamity compatable) 37. "Shop expander" DOWNLOAD IT! basically with enough mods, your npc's shops will overflow and some items will be impossible to obtain, the mod allows for shops to have multiple pages. 38. "Ore excavator" allows one to mine the whole vein by breaking only one ore. 39. "Omni Swing" auto-swing with everything (useless after tmod 1.4.4) 40. "Nycro's Nohit efficiency mod" has all sort of options, has some to reduce lag, shows your fight statistics after the fight. Despite the name, doesn't force you to nohit every boss or anything like that, lol. 41. "Better autosave" just to be safe, some things can crash, and you don't want to lose progress, configure it yourself. 42. "Atmosperic Torches" they look cooler, they flicker, not for everyone. 43. "Achievement Mod" allows you to get achievments in Tmodloader. 44. "Boss cursor" shows an arrow to where the boss is when outside your screen. Doesn't work perfectly, nor useful for everyone, but still good. 45. "Better treasure bag loot" less loot bag grind, more guaranteed drops. 46. "Census - Town npc checklist" Shows you all npc's and their arriving conditions, modded npc's included. 47. "Cellphone & pylons" allows you to teleport to pylons from anywhere if you have a cellphone. (obviously useless with mod 22) 48. "Compare item stats" compare items such as armor more easily. 49. "Enchanced buff display" allows you to hide buff icons, really good, so your buffs don't take half of the screen. 50. "Fargo's mutant mod" more QoL stuff, not sure how useful it is with mods 19&20, but I highly recommend it. 51. "Faster UI" makes stuff like crafting a bit faster. 52. "Hook stats and wing stats" tells you fly time, grapple speed, range etc. 53. "Helpful hotkeys" allows you to bind items such as RoD to any buttons. 54. "Journey's trend" more vanity from the based community. 55. "Magic storage void bag" post-ML upgrade to void bag and magic storage. 56. "Max stuck plus extra" huge stack sizes. 57. "Smarter cursor" less annoyances with platforms and stuff. 58. "Starter Bags" haven't tested it yet, but gives useful items at the beginning of the game. 59. "Instant platform fallthrough" makes you not stop on platforms while holding down. 60. "Begone, evil" stops evil spread. My texture packs: 3. "ReaniTerraria" better mobs 4. "Backgrounds o' plenty" more bg images 5. "NONN's buffs and bebuffs" sprites for buffs and debuffs 6. "JPC's better pack" some items 7. "The unofficial calamity splash screens" calamity arts when joining the game. 8. "HD scenery" better bg's 9. "Tooth & nail" not sure if the author is even alive, but looks great. That's all folks! For now, hehe.
UPD: Unfortunately, I do not recommend remnants mod at the moment, the worldgen is a mess, and things like planetoids won't generate at all most of the time.
1) Remnants mod does *not* have cross-mod compatibility, so e.g. the big dungeon room and the astral chest won't spawn in the dungeon. 2) with regards to QoL mods, Fargo's + buffaria can give you most of the potion effects in one; the only items that I have not seen replicated are the combo rod and asphalt platforms (though LUIAFK has updated a lot of items); the arena builder can be replaced with Fargo's insta-tracks; or with gadget galore, which is more suited for building. 3) heros and cheat sheet can probably be retired in favor of dragon lens 4) with regards to the summoner stuff, summoners association is still very useful especially as it can tell you how many slots certain summons occupy 5) 1 mod I certainly recommend is the shop market; it allows you to buy from any NPC at a distance, which is extremely useful when you have a lot of them
DragonLens is great, but it's still a little rough around the edges. For example, its paint tool can't be closed without painting what you selected as you click to close it, trying to paint with no selection crashes the game, hovering over items that you're currently editing the properties of causes their Knockback to grow to infinity, and at least for me, its fast-forward tool causes severe frame drops. If anything, I would keep Cheat Sheet and Hero's mod available to use for the functions DragonLens can't do properly yet.
I actually just generated a new world, and with Worldgen Previewer, I did see the vital Draedon Labs, both Calamity's and Infernum's Jungle mini-biomes, and the Dungeon Achieves arena. However, the huge Planetoid above spawn that has that lab is missing, so unfortunately, this prevents that schematic as well as crafting of the SHPC, however the former can be crafted in compensation.
@nemesis041 you could go to another world or cheat in the stuff, but if yoy want the actual structure in your world too then just copy and paste the structure using cheat sheet mod
Alchemist NPClite mod is also pretty useful for the Tinkerer NPC. Since there's no shimmer, its annoying to get ankh charm because you either have to grind for the drops, or craft them. The tinkerer sells all the items to craft armor bracing, the plan, counter curse mantra, and the other ingredients you need for ankh charm. It really saves time while trying to get asgards valor. He also sells a ton of useful accessories that are usually drops from enemies.
Also the young brewer, in hardmode, sells Combination potions, which STACK with the luiafk items[yes, i've tested, is it balanced, nah, but it's clamtea, go nuts, be stronk], as well as all flasks, including modded ones[based on progression] The alchemist himself is ALSO great, because he sells flowers[for various weapons or potion crafting], as well as materials for potions[like the hardmode biome drops, stars, gels, etc] Lastly, the builder is GREAT for certain recipe stuff[and for silt abuse lol]
Here’s what I think you need for calamity and the reasons: 1. Boss checklist, it shows you what to fight first and how to craft it 2. Any way to get a inf amount of potions, the reason is that this mod has a lot of bosses and farming potions would take awhile 3. A way to make a massive arena fast, it’s self explanatory but you need big arenas for a lot of the post ml bosses Those are the 3 main qol mods you would need to Also there is stuff like the magic crate thing that lets you store and find the 1000000 calamity items
I've found that the "star's above" modpack is fantastic along side a calamity run, adds several bosses and some perks and gear that give your character some more development as well as a npc that comes with you and talks about nearly every calamity boss and biome as well
@@Wafa_lol its still hard with the mod dude it just makes it a bit easier like I could beat the bosses without it but it just means i dont have to sit there for 50+ attempts learning it because i dont find that fun
In my testing so far, Remnants completely breaks Calamity's worldgen. Sunken Sea doesn't spawn at all, the abyss gets completely wrecked, planetoids don't spawn (though this can apparently be circumvented by turning down cloud density), and a few other busted things that other people have already commented. While Remnants is great, I really wouldn't recommend using it with Calamity. Other than this, you listed a lot of great mods that I have never used.
That point shop mod is awasome, generally such a good idea but also very powerful since its easy to kill mass stuff when it comes to luiafk and calamity
bit late but you can change how expensive things are easily in the config, so if you find it too easy you can just do something like making the shop items cost 3x more or so
Best of both worlds. Lets you have both evils (not one and a floating island) generate in a non-drunk world seed. Also lets you toggle other effects from the special seeds while leaving unwanted effects able to be turned off. Easily customisable and able to optimise your world to suit you and your playthrough for any mod. Also where was calamity’s extra music? It’s another official calamity mod that makes new themes for all the bosses and some biomes. I use it without calamity just because the music is so good.
7:21 theres actually a really easy way to get infinite money. Step one: get the architect. Step two: buy as much clay as you can (make sure he's happy so that the clay is 1 copper each). Step three: turn all the clay into plates (the flat gray thing made of clay at a furnace). Step four: sell and repeat
one other mod that can be fun and helpful if added is the Catalyst mod as it adds one of the Calamity mod bosses that got removed and adds it back with an updated version that is a lot of fun, it also gives strong weapons and great armor that is used for a better version of auric tesla armor
I feel a lot of people simplify Infernum to a detriment. It’s more than just “makes the game harder and reworks the fights” it’s more than just that. They scrapped 90% of the random bullshit that goes into making vanilla calamity bosses “difficult” such as borderline invisible projectiles appearing off screen, RNG bullet hell patterns, and ridiculous health pools. Most bosses take a reasonable amount of time to take down with on tier weaponry. Many projectiles have vibrant borders around them that adapt to the back ground color to provide zero visibility issues. Every boss I died to felt fair, and I felt like I was improving with every attempt. In vanilla calamity 90% of the post moon lord fights were series of “wait what killed me” never had that with infernum.
This makes sense, calamity isn't just a progression mod as it states it is a difficultly mod. If you can't get past a fight in those conditions (and if they are intended) then the fight simply isn't intended for you. End game is supposed to be really hard, its the end and you either reach your destination or you just weren't destined too. This is general too, I feel like you would complain about Getting Over It as well.
funnily enough i feel the exactly opposite, i felt like i was dying to random crap all the time with infernum as compared to normal calamity, and the post moon lord bosses with it were absolutely awful, like devourer of gods requiring pretty much perfection is just horrible game design imo, and yharon was actually just unbeatable and unfun for me but maybe they fixed it from the last time i played it idk.
A bit saddened that you did not include Vanilla Calamity Mod Music; I personally adore the tracks that it adds plus even gives you the ability to randomly only hear ambient sounds too which is neat.
1: Obviously 2: I agree 3: Eh it depends if you find Calamity hard enough or not 4: Remnants is supposedly incompatible, so nah. I'd rather go with JereTheJuggler's custom generation mod, since it feels more vanilla. 5: It's fine, I guess. But I never felt the need for it. 6: Once again, I don't feel the need for shaders. 7: I guess it would be helpful, but it seems to be incompatible, so nah. 8: Only if you play Summoner. 9: Nah, don't need it. 10: Only if you build a lot. 11: Seems useful. 12: Hot take: Melee is perfectly fine the way it is now. 13: Nah, don't need it. 14: I'd rather use WeaponOut lite. And if you're on 1.3, use the normal WeaponOut, that mod is so underrated. It adds much more interesting content than the sword that displays on your back. 15: No. 16: Once again, no. 17: Definitely! 18: Definitely. 19: Ehh, don't really need it. It's also kind of cheaty. 20: Never played it. 21: YES! 22: Nah, don't need it. 23: Never played it. 24: Nah, don't need it. 25: It can be useful sometimes, but you don't need it.
I thought Remnants conflicts with big content mods like Calamity, as its new world generation would conflict heavily with Calamity's (such as the labs underground). Some other recommended QoL mods I'd like to suggest: Fargo's Mutants: An all-rounder improvement mod, providing plenty of stuff that both LuiAFK and Quality of Life mods do, and a few other things like add new NPCs that can serve purposes similarly to AlchemistNPCs. Wing slot: Might be considered cheating, but I just don't think a precious accessory slot should be taken up by mandatory wings. More accessories+: Might also be considered cheating, but I only add 1 slot to pretend it's master mode, as Infernum only supports Expert mode. Unless, of course... Infernum Master For The Worthy Compatibility: Allows Infernum to be enabled on Master difficulty and on the FTW seed. For those that want the most brutal challenge available. Catalyst: Another Calamity add-on that re-adds and revamps Astrageldon and adds a bit more content to the Astral Infection biome. DragonLens: May mostly substitute Cheat Sheet and HERO's Mod, though I would still advise keeping those enabled, as DL has numerous bugs that need to be worked on before it can outright replace both. Calamiy's Vanities: The only things this adds are just a bunch of cosmetics, pets, vanity items, and mounts, as far as I've heard. Unofficial Calamity Mod Music: This mod replaces all vanilla music with music more fitting to the tone of Calamity. Infernum changes the boss music with its own music mod, but this mod changes everything else Infernum music doesn't change, like daytime, nighttime, underground, etc. On another note, I recognize that Baba Is You music in the background. That's one hell of a puzzle game.
Remnant mod seems cool but unless you're on a large world it might mess with other calamity structures you need (not to mention the mod does say there's no built in compatibility so you're really just hooping you get lucky when you use it)
Remnants is a great mod to play a Fargo's Souls/Mutants playthrough with because Fargo's doesn't mess with world-gen, but you are really just asking for issues to arise if you use it with Calamity or Thorium
My brother is way to addicted to calamity mod. he did 10 playthroughs, 1 summoner playthrough, 2 rouge playthroughs, 2 mage playthroughs , 2 ranger playthroughs, and 5 melee playthroughs. idk if he's gonna do another summoner playthrough again but he's is just to addicted to the mod. He uses Fargo Mutant Mod, Better Zoom, and Boss Cursor.
Calamity whips has been breaking a bit lately, so i wouldn't suggest it I would suggest craftable shrine items/craftable calamity items, if you were in multiplayer, since otherwise only one of each shrine item is available
I love how when talking about no pylon restriction u say it feels like cheating compared to the other mods, but 3 mods before it was a mod called cheat sheet lmao, anyways this is great i didnt know calamity had a texture pack
remenents mod will make fighting golem on any calamity difficulty absolute hell, since it's a mod that is ment for vanilla only and has no actual support for content mods, it also can make Aerialite Ore not actually spawn, so you'd need to grind Aerialite slimes for it. and lastly it will most likely break some of the infernum structures by generating it's own structures on top of them.
Weapon effects + can break some weapon projectiles like the biome blade and make it do damage over time and I’ve gotten it to over 200000 damage a second and in almost all situations that is higher than the endgame weapons
Still, I enjoyed this video. Most of the mods I haven't played, which is probably why I don't see a reason to use them. I will add a few mods that I think are great additions to Calamity Mod, but not essential: Infernum Mod Music: Infernum Mod has pretty good music. Or at least the last time I checked it did. Calamity Mod Lineage: Makes the game harder by adding two new meters that make damage extremely punishing. Catalyst: This mod adds a new boss called Astrageldon, who is freakin' awesome. The only flaw it has is that it lacks pre-Hardmode content. Calamity's Vanities: For people who like vanity. I don't, but it exists. Armor Modifiers: It may make the game easier, so you could play with Judgement Mode from Exalt Mod active to make the game slightly harder, but not hard to the point where you want to pull your eyes out. Infernum Master and For the Worthy patch: For the masochists. Fargo's Souls Mod: For the masochists and for those who want to become OP AF. Fargo's Mutant Mod: Only if you really want the quality of life improvements. And if you're playing with Fargo's Souls mod, you're gonna need it.
Great list and thank you for posting it! playing through it with almost the exact mod list you have here and really re-enjoying Terraria again. For anyone else that may have had issues with this mod list for whatever reason the Terraria Ambiance mod was causing my game to crash on world gen, as well as causing crashing issues loading up another Calamity save. Just a heads up for anyone else that may be having a similar issue. Thanks again for the list!
Not sure about remnants though, it sometimes conflicts with calamity, had a couple of worlds have their sunken sea in the underworld, sometimes the planetoid that has the schematic doesnt load so you have to bring the schematics via from another world. Edit: ALSO, if your doing an infernum playthrough, Golem becomes ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE boss due to the arena being too small so some attacks are just unavoidable, I was doing a melee playthrough so I just decided to face tank it through, but other classes or accessory combinations that focus on more glass cannon type gameplay might be impossible, your best bet is either A) Go to death mode B) Use wand of construction from the Quality of Life mod (copy air or nothing, then have the destroy and place option, this should let you break the lihzard bricks) or alternatively give yourself a picksaw to modify the arenas height C) Switch to a tanky setup and just brute force through the nigh impossible to dodge attacks
@@PashaVerti The Astral chest in the Dungeon doesn't generate no matter what as far as I know, and Remnants can also generate on top of world features added by Infernum
OMG THANKS SO MUCH I JUST GOT A PC AND THE FIRST GAME I THOUGHT TO GET WAS TERRARIA YOUR VIDEO HELPED MORE THEN YOU COULD KNOW. Sorry for caps I am just really grateful for your video, also! Can you please make a second video to talk about really fun and “make the game easier” mods? Please it would help a lot!
Id like to mention that the alchemistnpc lite npcs arent all useless the alchemist allows you to teleport to different places in the world the operator reduces grinding for certain drops due to being able to buy boss treasure bags and sometimes drops the young brewer sells flasks and potion combos that i dont trust enough to use and the tinkerer lets you craft the ankh shield and terraspark boots way quicker which both have very good upgrades that are mandatory for your run and maybe also use fargos souls mod for the added npcs and quality of life but that is covered by lui and quality of life
The combos don't stack with their components However, and this is fun, they DO stack with the luiafk stuff! Also it's Alchemist not Brewer, Brewer sells the potions, Alchemist sells tele stuff and ingredients
The only problem is that the Remnants Mod fucks up calamity generation. In some cases there will be no Sunken Sea with it´s Draedon lab and no planetoid lab cause no planetoids, so you can´t fight Exo Mechs
If u play Calamity with MeleeEffects Mod its kind of pain. Cuz Calamity has the swords, that have the RightMouseButton, and MelleEffcets Mod add for every melle weapon charged attack which binded on RBM. And if u play with both of them you cant use special attacks from Calamity, its always be charged attack from MeleeEffects
Questions is there a way to assign mods to worlds like have a world for the starlight river mod but another world for calamity rather than having calamity and the starlight river mod at once? Im asking this because i am currently playing starlight river and want to try out these mods without ruining the original experience of starlight river
A lot of these mods aren't Calamity specific, being general QoL and minor overhaul mods. For more Calamity specific mods I'd recommend Hunt of the Old Gods and Wrath of the Gods addons, which combined add three entirely new and fleshed out endgame bosses (one of them being the same tier as SCal and Exo-Mechs and the other two being post-Shadowspec). Also, if you're getting Infernum make sure to also get Infernum Music, which adds new themes composed by PinPinNeon to all the vanilla bosses, the Infernum only boss, the new biome, and the three endgame bosses, namely Eidolon Wyrm, SCal, and Exo-Mechs (Eidolon Wyrm is post-Yharon in Infernum).
"but we can definetly improve it, like this" *shows calamity mod gameplay with infernum mod on which doesnt change anything much from the gameplay we are shown except DoG*
i also recomend geting calamity extra music. it changes the vanila boss themes to the calamity remixes. most of the themes i honestly think are beter than vanila
I use the modpack and had a problem. A traveling merchant arrived at my world and not only did he not have any items to sell, he installed himself in a vacant house!
Lol I'm running calamity on a dinosaur and decided half modded with no wifi and half the reworking mods would work how well do these mods minus the graphics and music run on an 8ram pc
I will use these mods for my next playthrough though i will make another world without remnants mod just incase some of the structures from calamity aren't there
A mod i love to keep along Calamity is Stars Above. Not due to the Weapons nor the equipment but because the Stellar Nova's (Ultimates) and perks that come with it adds an extra layer of combat skills and customization. And for those worried that it will make the game too easy, while it is true that certain perks will make you harder to kill or do way more damage than usual. You will still get absolutely destroyed if you get hit so don't worry about it.
Hey guys, I was wondering if there is a mod that disables happiness. Like I dont need to make npcs happy to get all of the things the could give me, because I dont want to place the npcs to the right position and have a palace with all the npcs from other mods...
About Remnants: it can break calamity world gen. I know it, because it broke my world, and i didnt have forgotten sea biom (i dont know, how called this water biom under the desert)
Great vid so I thought I'd do the list of the mods here:
1. "Calamity Mod" itself, obviously, that's why we're here
15. "Cheat Sheet" all sorts of cheats
Texture packs:
29. "Calamity's Vanities" adds vanity stuff obtained with calamity materials
(Will become useless after tmod 1.4.4)
34. "Advanced world generation" more ways to tweak your world gen.
35. "Unlimited buff slots" unlimited buff slots. (probably useless after tmod 1.4.4 as well)
36. "Starter Class" gives you a bag that you can make into one with items for a specific class to get you started. (calamity compatable)
37. "Shop expander" DOWNLOAD IT! basically with enough mods, your npc's shops will overflow and some items will be impossible to obtain, the mod allows for shops to have multiple pages.
38. "Ore excavator" allows one to mine the whole vein by breaking only one ore.
39. "Omni Swing" auto-swing with everything (useless after tmod 1.4.4)
(obviously useless with mod 22)
My texture packs:
3. "ReaniTerraria" better mobs
4. "Backgrounds o' plenty" more bg images
5. "NONN's buffs and bebuffs" sprites for buffs and debuffs
6. "JPC's better pack" some items
7. "The unofficial calamity splash screens" calamity arts when joining the game.
8. "HD scenery" better bg's
9. "Tooth & nail" not sure if the author is even alive, but looks great.
That's all folks!
For now, hehe.
@@secretnya Damn thanks bro, i was looking for this
UPD: Unfortunately, I do not recommend remnants mod at the moment, the worldgen is a mess, and things like planetoids won't generate at all most of the time.
where do i find stonedark ui? can't see in mod broswer
I checked for the third time and my comments keep disappearing, what the hell. I'll try again. Steam-Terraria-Workshop-Stonedark UI. Not tmodloader
SUPER USEFUL VIDEO, this will definitely help a TON of people not knowing what QoL mod to use when playing Calamity
Thank you gitgud for your support :)))
Thank you gitgud for your support :)))
yeah this guy is severely underrated
fr he is very underated
Perfectly balanced
1) Remnants mod does *not* have cross-mod compatibility, so e.g. the big dungeon room and the astral chest won't spawn in the dungeon.
2) with regards to QoL mods, Fargo's + buffaria can give you most of the potion effects in one; the only items that I have not seen replicated are the combo rod and asphalt platforms (though LUIAFK has updated a lot of items); the arena builder can be replaced with Fargo's insta-tracks; or with gadget galore, which is more suited for building.
3) heros and cheat sheet can probably be retired in favor of dragon lens
4) with regards to the summoner stuff, summoners association is still very useful especially as it can tell you how many slots certain summons occupy
5) 1 mod I certainly recommend is the shop market; it allows you to buy from any NPC at a distance, which is extremely useful when you have a lot of them
DragonLens is great, but it's still a little rough around the edges.
Remnants has pushed quite a few updates for cross mod support so stuff like the giant dungeon room and Astral chest do generate
@@nemesis041If you make the generation of cloud density to 0.5 it spawns in
Alchemist NPClite mod is also pretty useful for the Tinkerer NPC.
Also the young brewer, in hardmode, sells Combination potions, which STACK with the luiafk items[yes, i've tested, is it balanced, nah, but it's clamtea, go nuts, be stronk], as well as all flasks, including modded ones[based on progression]
The alchemist himself is ALSO great, because he sells flowers[for various weapons or potion crafting], as well as materials for potions[like the hardmode biome drops, stars, gels, etc]
Lastly, the builder is GREAT for certain recipe stuff[and for silt abuse lol]
Ya all be forgetting operator the goat. Saves me sooo much grinding
is there still no shimmer? i think i am playing calamity on Terraria 1.4 right now so it should be added right

8:09 Outro
Thanks a lot dude!!
Here’s what I think you need for calamity and the reasons:
1. Boss checklist, it shows you what to fight first and how to craft it
2. Any way to get a inf amount of potions, the reason is that this mod has a lot of bosses and farming potions would take awhile
3. A way to make a massive arena fast, it’s self explanatory but you need big arenas for a lot of the post ml bosses
Those are the 3 main qol mods you would need to
Also there is stuff like the magic crate thing that lets you store and find the 1000000 calamity items
The luiAFK or something like that does the job but i think its not updated
I've found that the "star's above" modpack is fantastic along side a calamity run, adds several bosses and some perks and gear that give your character some more development as well as a npc that comes with you and talks about nearly every calamity boss and biome as well
It also makes it easier to beat infernum if youd rather just be able to experience it rather than caring about practicing the bosses
@@borzoilover4156why would you okay infernum if you want it to be easy?
@@Wafa_lol its still hard with the mod dude it just makes it a bit easier like
I could beat the bosses without it but it just means i dont have to sit there for 50+ attempts learning it because i dont find that fun
@@borzoilover4156I always add them even tho I never use the weapons I just like the idea of having a cute anime girl watching over me
In my testing so far, Remnants completely breaks Calamity's worldgen.
That point shop mod is awasome, generally such a good idea but also very powerful since its easy to kill mass stuff when it comes to luiafk and calamity
bit late but you can change how expensive things are easily in the config, so if you find it too easy you can just do something like making the shop items cost 3x more or so
5:12 love the boss check list
Based
Best of both worlds.
I use it without calamity just because the music is so good.
lame
@@ILovePie53 I have your addres
I think by this point, calamity SHOULD and DESERVE to be comverted as a REAL DLC for the vanilla game, that would be so freaking damn cool
DO NOT USE THE REMNANTS MOD because the calamity lab do not spawn
Screw you
Everything generated well for me
@@tmilky lucky you
This can happen but it is relatively rare
@@tmilkyRecently they made some compatibility patches, but for a long time it wasn't the case
It sure is interesting that fanmade content for Calamity tends towards being better than official Calamity content.
For my next Infernum playtrought this tutorial will be essencial,
I love it like every vid,
Thx you and continue the great job :)
Thank you so much :)
FINALLY someone who actually provides the modpack file and doesnt just make a list of mods
No problem!!
A bit saddened that you did not include Vanilla Calamity Mod Music; I personally adore the tracks that it adds plus even gives you the ability to randomly only hear ambient sounds too which is neat.
I would keep an eye out with the remnants mods since it can delete some calamity structures like the ceaseless void arena or space lab
Ceaseless void arena « should » still spawn below the dungeon and the space lab should spawn if you turn down the cloud density !
@@bromex_how do u do that??
@@bromex_I havent been able to get the lab to spawn at all, and I have cloud density at minimum, either im unlucky, or you are lucky
1: Obviously
2: I agree
3: Eh it depends if you find Calamity hard enough or not
4: Remnants is supposedly incompatible, so nah.
Some other recommended QoL mods I'd like to suggest:
Fargo's Mutants: An all-rounder improvement mod, providing plenty of stuff that both LuiAFK and Quality of Life mods do, and a few other things like add new NPCs that can serve purposes similarly to AlchemistNPCs.
Good job bro , I was searching forever for someone to show some mods that I could play with calamity , thank you so much , you are a life saver !
No problem!!

@@bromex_ Pas de problème :p
i love using fargo's mutant mod, so much quality of life there
Me: I think we can play calamity
My PC: I hope you can learn from your mistakes
don't forget Fargo's Mutant Mod, really helpful
Wow great video, i started my world few hours ago and i guess ill start a new one and apply most of these mods!
THIS VIDEO ♥
already had most of them, but the ones i didn't know of make a huge diff!
He uses Fargo Mutant Mod, Better Zoom, and Boss Cursor.
that's 12 playthroughs lol
I KNOW RIGHT?!
I'd also want to add catalyst mod which brings back astrageldon, and calamity whips for summoners
Calamity whips has been breaking a bit lately, so i wouldn't suggest it
I would suggest craftable shrine items/craftable calamity items, if you were in multiplayer, since otherwise only one of each shrine item is available
I did not realize how many new mods existed to make the game more beautiful, nice!
I love how when talking about no pylon restriction u say it feels like cheating compared to the other mods, but 3 mods before it was a mod called cheat sheet lmao, anyways this is great i didnt know calamity had a texture pack
Thank you for introducing me to the Remnants mod, absolutely in love with it!
Glad to hear it!
remnants breaks calamity, the structures it generates can overwrite the biome shrines, and it also causes it to fail to generate the sunken sea
Nice video I will be using these in my next play thru
remenents mod will make fighting golem on any calamity difficulty absolute hell, since it's a mod that is ment for vanilla only and has no actual support for content mods, it also can make Aerialite Ore not actually spawn, so you'd need to grind Aerialite slimes for it. and lastly it will most likely break some of the infernum structures by generating it's own structures on top of them.
Aerialite still generates and all infernum structure also generates. It’s only a trouble for the main planetoid and golem
@@bromex_ is it impossible for the renenents mod structure to generate over for example the jungle draedon lab, or on top of the infernum sakura pond?
my soul left my body when he said the brewer was the only good AlchemistNPC npc...
Weapon effects + can break some weapon projectiles like the biome blade and make it do damage over time and I’ve gotten it to over 200000 damage a second and in almost all situations that is higher than the endgame weapons
Thank you so much for this video! That's what I need for my new Calamity world.
Glad it was helpful!
bro made my life better in 8 minutes and 27 minutes ty so much for showing me those mods
Still, I enjoyed this video. Most of the mods I haven't played, which is probably why I don't see a reason to use them.
I will add a few mods that I think are great additions to Calamity Mod, but not essential:
Infernum Mod Music: Infernum Mod has pretty good music.
Edit: ALSO, if your doing an infernum playthrough, Golem becomes ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE boss due to the arena being too small so some attacks are just unavoidable, I was doing a melee playthrough so I just decided to face tank it through, but other classes or accessory combinations that focus on more glass cannon type gameplay might be impossible, your best bet is either A) Go to death mode
B) Use wand of construction from the Quality of Life mod (copy air or nothing, then have the destroy and place option, this should let you break the lihzard bricks) or alternatively give yourself a picksaw to modify the arenas height
C) Switch to a tanky setup and just brute force through the nigh impossible to dodge attacks
Remnants is cool, but it (from my experience) prevents calamity asteroids and some of Dradeon's labs from generating
All labs normally generate, except for the Planetoid because of the skies. It can spawn tho, if u turn down the sky density to 0.5
@@PashaVerti The Astral chest in the Dungeon doesn't generate no matter what as far as I know, and Remnants can also generate on top of world features added by Infernum
@@moddable6921 Indeed, but Infernum is the one loading on Remnants, not the other way
Some of the mods are very useful in any mod, not just Calamity.
honestly I've gotten so used to some of them I just refuse to play without magic storage anymore, I just cant go back
OMG THANKS SO MUCH I JUST GOT A PC AND THE FIRST GAME I THOUGHT TO GET WAS TERRARIA YOUR VIDEO HELPED MORE THEN YOU COULD KNOW. Sorry for caps I am just really grateful for your video, also! Can you please make a second video to talk about really fun and “make the game easier” mods? Please it would help a lot!
Id like to mention that the alchemistnpc lite npcs arent all useless the alchemist allows you to teleport to different places in the world the operator reduces grinding for certain drops due to being able to buy boss treasure bags and sometimes drops the young brewer sells flasks and potion combos that i dont trust enough to use and the tinkerer lets you craft the ankh shield and terraspark boots way quicker which both have very good upgrades that are mandatory for your run and maybe also use fargos souls mod for the added npcs and quality of life but that is covered by lui and quality of life
The combos don't stack with their components
However, and this is fun, they DO stack with the luiafk stuff!
Also it's Alchemist not Brewer, Brewer sells the potions, Alchemist sells tele stuff and ingredients
@@sakurawillows8364 i always confuse them sorry ill change it
@@sakurawillows8364 the luiafk thing sounds fun but i didnt play much with it but i was gonna use it for my next run
And if u play with both of them you cant use special attacks from Calamity, its always be charged attack from MeleeEffects
u can disable it in the config so if u end up using a sword that does rely on a right click then just turn it off
@@Ziggy0209 oh, i didnt know this. Well, im omw to check it, thanks
Remnants Mod will most likely break the Sunken Sea and Planetoids when paired with Calamity so keep that in mind
yeh it makes the game unfinishable unless you heros mod it in
yeah it also messes with the labs and some infernum structures

Questions is there a way to assign mods to worlds like have a world for the starlight river mod but another world for calamity rather than having calamity and the starlight river mod at once? Im asking this because i am currently playing starlight river and want to try out these mods without ruining the original experience of starlight river
Instead of no pylon restrictions i would you the more pylons mod that adds dozens of new pylon for basically every biome
Thanks bro! You earn a sub❤
Thanks for the sub!
I still can get over how good the stormdark UI looks.
ive been using calaimity texture pack and stormdark for ages its so good
Omg, the starting song made me sound like im in the shower lol

"but we can definetly improve it, like this" *shows calamity mod gameplay with infernum mod on which doesnt change anything much from the gameplay we are shown except DoG*
melee effects plus can break some calamity and infernum weapons in unintended ways.
This actually helps tysm!
I love when I go to watch a UA-cam video and the guy who made it is also from Quebec
i also recomend geting calamity extra music. it changes the vanila boss themes to the calamity remixes. most of the themes i honestly think are beter than vanila

Do you know if that mod pack is playable in multiplayer? :)
Yes, you can. Search up a tutorial

Lol I'm running calamity on a dinosaur and decided half modded with no wifi and half the reworking mods would work how well do these mods minus the graphics and music run on an 8ram pc
0:29 reminds me of Bourgtherold city
Like I dont need to make npcs happy to get all of the things the could give me, because I dont want to place the npcs to the right position and have a palace with all the npcs from other mods...
imo just add in a couple of fishing QoL mods make it much better.
Зачем fishing когда есть alchemist mod
don't forget the veinminer mod!!
for remnants mod some of the structure that calamity adds just gone like shrine or other stuff

About Remnants: it can break calamity world gen. I know it, because it broke my world, and i didnt have forgotten sea biom (i dont know, how called this water biom under the desert)
