In the summer of 78 my brother drove through Vermont on his way to Nova Scotia. He couldn’t stop talking about how scenic it was and from what I seen on this vid he was right. Really enjoying the channel - thank you! 👆

And thank you also! Your brothers memory is what us New Englanders are always still in constant awe of. Each one of our states in the Northeast has its own unique look! Be well!

I wouldn't rule out the presence of gold within the pieces you think are strictly copper.
A gold copper mix is known as rose gold and we have that occurrence where you have seen me work. Not so much in the lower section where I had my big furry visitor.
Speaking of my visitor, Nice trail cam footage! You can always reach me via the website if you ever want to chat.

Looks like your in an area of VT with a lot of slate instead of granite or kaolin.
So probably between Brattleboro and Rutland, on the eastern side of the green mountains ?

For real! That thought hit me as well…this has been one crazy weather pattern lately. There’s some damage in a town not far from me that may have been from a tornado the other day.

Do you do private tours or lessons? I've had all the gear for years but them got really sick and life took over. I'm doing much better now and would love to get out and give it another shot. I just don't know all the rules and regulations and need a little guidance. Of course I would pay you for your services if you're interested.

Hi John, I’m flattered that you would ask yet in all honesty there has never been a day out prospecting that I haven’t learned a lesson myself. If you are in Massachusetts we don’t really have mining laws that I know of. I could be wrong but I think that’s correct. Vermont and New Hampshires laws should be on their state websites. As far as Maine goes I’m not sure. Haven’t done any prospecting in Maine personally. Be well!

@@northeastexpanse Thank you for the quick response and I don't blame you for wanting to keep your adventures a secret. I just don't know where to start and didn't want to step on anyone's toe's in the process. Are there prospecting clubs or groups in the northeast that your aware of just to get a jump start? Thanks again!!!

Yes there is 4 or 5 Fb page groups for the New England area. Some of them have annual get togethers, just haven’t been to any yet. Also I know there are a lot of rock and mineral clubs that you could look into. All the best!

A UA-camr (Brad Martin) from Green Mountain metal detecting found a natural Vermont good nugget while detecting. It weighed 7 grams I believe. It definitely could have stayed in a half inch classifier. He almost passed out and bumped his head.😂
