This tutorial is wonderful! And if anyone's curious, you can have a separate wallpaper from your screen saver. Just make sure you uncheck the "show as wallpaper" option for the screen saver and then set your wallpaper. The only thing is that the video will no longer be your lockscreen, since you can't have a separate lock screen and wallpaper. But I personally find this preferable to having a blurry image or single color as my wallpaper.

Hi! I had the same issue as you because I loved my home screen so much and I found a solution ! What I did is that I went to Canva, I create a video with 2 blank pages. On the first one I uploaded my home screen picture (duration 1second or less), and on the second page I dropped the video. Then I downloaded it and did the same process shown on the video. Now the beginning of your "live wallpaper" would include your home screen (but not for long if you set the duration to less than a second) and since it's the first frame of the video which is taken for the home screen you can have both ! ☺ I hope I made myself clear, english isn't my first language 😅
Hi! I love doing the moving wallpapers now, but what do I do if it turns black and stops moving? I got the most recent MacBook Sonoma update (14.6) and made a new wallpaper after the older ones wouldn't work, but it's doing the same thing where it works for a while but then turns black and stops working. Please help!
Same thing happen to me. Turned out that when I “command v” on to my video, it had .mp4.mov at the end of file name lolol. I removed the extra .mp4 and it worked,
@@abbiequeener2719what’ll help is hitting command A to copy the whole text before pasting it in. It is there probably just past the viewable box and have to just move the cursor further down

i unchecked show as wallpaper and show on all spaces but its still showing the screen saver as my wallpaper 😭
Wait so I can do two different ones
Make a hot corner for you screen saver you have made! That way you can quickly put it to the screen saver!

Look at your file name? Does it have .mov at the end? It should have that.
