  • Apart from decorating sweets, there’s little I like doing more than breathing new life into old things. There’s something about seeing underappreciated objects turn up in unexpected ways that puts a smile on my face, and a fresh sparkle on those things. Here, in this video, I try to do just this by dressing up plain paper containers with pages from old magazines, costume jewelry, and other salvaged items to make unexpected gift boxes for Valentine’s Day. The boxes are gifts in their own right - considering the jewelry and other collectibles on top - but they also make lovely “wrappings” for other Valentine’s Day presents.
