If anyone is having trouble with the edges looking loose and sloppy, remember to turn your work CLOCKWISE at the end of each row! it compresses the last two stitches and gives your work a neat edge.
I’ve want to try crocheting a sweater or cardigan for a while but ive been putting it off because I was intimidated by learning this ribbed cuff stitch but you explained it so well and it’s way easier than I thought it would be!
Thank god for the UA-cam visual tutorials. Without these, I wouldn’t have bought the pattern. Learning how to read is WHILE having a visual is beyond helpful
Thank you for sharing this tutorial. I've been struggling to create a more seamless look on my ss ribbed hat band. Your odd-row count and fold-to-the-front method produced the narrow "purl" gap I've been looking for.
Thank you so much! Making a sweater for my stuffed animal and couldn't for the life of me figure out how to do the ribbing on my own and the rest of the tutorial are top to bottom ❤❤
Thank you for this!! So many sweater patterns are for size small to medium...i am neither because I like my clothes lose. I've never made a sweater before and could t buy their patterns because I can't read written patterns yet. This video is so helpful because I was trying to figure out how to make a sleeve but that little part where you said how the sweater was made was PERFECT! now i can make the entire thing without trying to piece different patterns together!
Your tutorials are amazing, you convinced me to purchase the pattern! Now I have to chose the colors, that's the most difficult part of crocheting to me 😅
I started in late November...✌🏼 I’m 11, so I’ve been trying to make a smaller pattern for the cardigan I finally got it!! Yessss I’m on patch number 13
The Snugglery thank you very much. I've been trying to make a sweater for the longest but I just can't seem to get pass the ribbing part. I just wanted to give you thanks..
I already finished the sleeves and body of my sweater, but I want to add ribbing that cinches in around both the cuffs and the waist. Could I just crochet the rubbing so it's smaller than the sleeves and torso part, then attach it to the sweater? Or would that look terrible..? Thank you so much!
You can just sew the ribbing on or corchet it directly on the sweater and decrease the two slip stitches where it attaches to the sweater (see other tutorials for that).
Try decreasing your pre-existing sleeve stitches by inserting your hook into the front loops of 2 stitches, pull up a loop through both front loops, yarn over and pull through the two loops on your hook. Hope that helps
How do i not make my sleeve expand exponentially? Like its getting so balloony so fast like how is yours width staying the same? I assume it has something to do when i start a new row, because is it's a "spiral" how is the sleeve in this video not getting wider? Pls help/clarify
can anyone tell me where to find the body making of the sweater? i totally am IN LOVE with this design!!!! and i really want to learn how to do the body, thanks so much!! :)
Finishing up a granny square cardigan, and I want to put cuffs like these on the ends. Any ideas on how to go about it? Should I make the cuffs separately, then attach them somehow?
This is the pattern and video I’ve been searching for for years. BUT! I’ve spent over an hour try and frogging trying and frogging - just to the cuffs. I don’t understand why I’m struggling so much as I’ve crocheted for 10+ years 😬 It’s the crocheting in the back loop! I just keep losing my stitches what am I doing wrong?
I keep having to frog because the ends dont line up right when i go to seam them. I make sure i dont lose stitches at the ends. But i cant seem to get it right.
i'm having trouble keeping the spiral pattern :( i was able to do it once but lost it and restarted my work 3 times. i'm not sure if i'm marking wrong? but i feel like i'm following what you're doing but it ends up as just a straight sleeve. i hope u can help me if u can !!
I made both of my sleeves and went to do the body and realized it’s a paid pattern like you mentioned many times in the video I just didn’t realize that’s what you meant lol but I do have a question, I don’t know how to read patterns very well so if I purchase the pattern would I be able to reach out if I had questions about the pattern?
Can anyone help me? My stitch marker on the cuff fell out half way through! Is it necessary to know where the 1st stitch is, or can I continue in the round for the rest of the sleeve until I complete the number of rows I need?
You are a really good instructor! This pattern is fantastic. If you didn't want balloon sleeves, would you just not do the increase in the first round from the cuff?
SOMEONE EXPLAIN. How when she does the slip knot for the blue string does she loop through both strands and only comes out with only one loop on the hook. Is this an illusion?
I’m struggling on why I can’t understand how to do this, it seems as if your pattern is so easy! . I finish the cuff but when I start to make the sleeve they’re huge . I’ve started over multiple times, making the cuff smaller thinking that because i have less loops I assumed it would make my sleeve smaller ?? Or to make less stitches & it still doesn’t look right . When you say that theres no wrong or right way nor do you say anything about a stitch count I think that’s where I mess up .. completely. I don’t know if I’m putting too many stitches into the first row ☹️ please .. help .. me . I’m crying so hard inside lol your sweater is beautiful 🤩 I see all these people saying how easy it is & im starting to feel stupid 😩😂
also Ive been crocheting for a while but I still don’t understand how a stitch marker works . Do I mark the stitch before or after the maker ? People always do different things . 🙁 to me when I mark them it starts to feel like my stitch marker is moving diagonal? I hope all this makes sense because I confused myself trying this sweater
@@aonestycogar414 as far as markers go, I stitch an extra stitch and mark the one previous stitch. So if I need to mark every 10, I stitch 11, and mark the previous stitch which would be #10.
@@aonestycogar414 place stitch markers the way it makes most sense for you, that's why you've seen people do different things. when I crochet in the round to make sleeves I usually place the stitch marker in the slipstitch that is used to join. that way when I reach it, I know that was my join stitch.
I've always had trouble with making my stitches too tight, and I have no idea how to fix it because they end up tight no matter how hard I try. Any ideas?
Use a bigger hook than recommended. Make a few test tension square tests gradually going up in hook size until you find your stitches either looking better or matching the tension recommended for the pattern you’re using.

Oh my goodness this is way easier than I ever thought!
Also I love how you dropped a pic of SlipKnot while tying a slip knot. Hilarious 😂
I can't believe how easy you make it seem! Can't wait to try it. I believe your tutorial will make all the difference. Thank you!

It's known as the moss, linen, and or the granite stitch depending on what tutorials you look at it :)

I don't understand the significance of doing two chains at the beginning of each row? I've never done that wile working in a spiral. Is it necessary?

Don't forget to ch1 at either end of the cuff so it doesn't look uneven.
ch 1 at the end of each row and the last stitch is quite tight and almost hidden so you have to be careful to find it
It's all clear except the body part, do I do it just like the sleeves or is there a change.even tho she explained I don't get it!!!
😍Amazing!👏👏👏👏🧶🧶
I LOVE THE SLIPKNOT PIC LMAO
how many yarn did you use for that?
Is there a way to make the sleeves puffier and more balloon sleeves. Please help.
how do you keep the sleeve from bunching?? the sleeve ended up in this super bunched swirly thing and not puffed out 😭
