  • Wanna learn how to start a crochet project from a ribbed cuff?? This is the first of a three part series where I go into the techniques used in The Better Sweater crochet pattern!
    Part of what makes this sweater so great is that it's worked from the bottom-up, PLUS it's worked in a spiral... so no seams! In this video you'll learn how to crochet a slip stitch ribbed cuff, work along the edge of the cuff and how to work the linen stitch in a spiral. At the veerryyy end, there is some special marker-placing instructions for people working this specific pattern.

    If anyone is having trouble with the edges looking loose and sloppy, remember to turn your work CLOCKWISE at the end of each row! it compresses the last two stitches and gives your work a neat edge.

    I already finished the sleeves and body of my sweater, but I want to add ribbing that cinches in around both the cuffs and the waist. Could I just crochet the rubbing so it's smaller than the sleeves and torso part, then attach it to the sweater? Or would that look terrible..? Thank you so much!

    • @Potsdamism
      @Potsdamism 3 роки тому +7

      You can just sew the ribbing on or corchet it directly on the sweater and decrease the two slip stitches where it attaches to the sweater (see other tutorials for that).
