I love this watch, i'm a huge Heuer fan as i'm an automotive nut..only thing that held me back from buying it was the thickness, its just too thick for my wrist which is small- however its perfect in every other retrospect
Good review! I bought it! It's become my daily workhorse. It's my first chronograph and at 64, probably my only one. Thank you for your review, it helped.
2017 Heuer Autavia > 2021 Tudor BB chrono Its cheaper, the brand has a much more important history, and the watch itself has a much greater history. Also, the date is better intergated in the extra subdial, you get 3 on the Autavia while only 2 on the Tudor. And the Heuer has a in-house caliber! However both are good buys!
Good review. One correction:- it has a "reverse" Panda look ( not Panda). I bought one and found it too big and bulky. The steel bracelet is too shiny and makes it look ugly. You can buy a good leather strap, not necessarily from Tag Heuer, much cheaper and the leather strap makes it look much better. Price wise it is too expensive for what it offers.
It’s discontinued now, but you can still find them new. It’s n my radar since I really want a mid tier 12 hour bezel watch. This and the Omega 007 Spectre are high on my list.
I tried this autavia jack heuer ltd edition in a shop but aesthetically it is very thick & the bracelets are too shiny maybe coz of the polish finish. I wish they made the bracelet a combination of brush & polish. I adon't like the Heuer 02 mark on the dial. It's pricey. I love the dial it is a ray of silver or white at some angle. Yes, the Heuer 02 calibre is an in-house mov't but unproven. For the same price range, I'll pick the Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch anytime of the day.
A really good looking watch but two and a half minute increments on the thirty minute dial isn't practical for a chronograph costing £4000. The original had minute markers and also this heritage model is too thick
“This watch is a modern watch that doesn’t try to look like a vintage watch...” Right Ariel... you contradicted yourself a dozen times in a few sentences bud.
The 30 min counter really really pisses me off and is the main reason i didn't pursue buying this watch. What is the point of having a 30 min chronograph when you can't even time precicesly how much time has gone.
frassut what do you mean? every 30 minutes the hour register goes up a notch. 2 notches or 60 minutes every hour. you can tell how much time has passed down to the second.
frassut there are 3 registers, the chronograph hour and minutes minutes and the main seconds for the watch. 16 minutes would be one notch right after the 15 mark. which is the marking at the “6 o’clock” on the chronograph minutes register.
Hard for me to get past TAG's history of using the SW-200-1 movement of lowest grade and held by a plastic holder/ring in their watches (see Aquaracer)
Please either wash your hands, wear gloves or at the very least, wipe the watch down before doing your reviews. The watch had grease marks all over it, which was very distracting.
This is one of the most beautiful watches released in the last few years. Love the new movement inside as well. 75 hours of power reserve is crazy.

I´ve been waiting months to see a review of this watch. I love it

I do like it, more so that the Jack Heuer version. I was considering this or the Graham GMT but I think the Heuer has more heritage about it.

I love it. But there's also this grey Carrera chrono that I'm interested in, so... damn!

the watch looks just fantastic. Is it chronometer accurate? And is it antimagnetic? Good review by the way
That's not a "panda" dial. That's a "reverse panda" dial. Pandas have white heads and black eye patches. This is the reverse.
A fantastic watch!

Yes. Scandalous INDEED.
Nice video, thank you.
Great watch 👌
Very nice 👍🏻
what's your wrist size sir? thanks.
looks cool but to thick!
frips1000 I have 6.4 wrists and it fits perfectly! Try it on, you might be surprised.
And you actually tried it?
insanely amazing!!!!!

speedy Tuesday
It's beautiful but 5000$ ,,, where is the money ,,, 😢💔

ok tell me, or show me on the watch when it's been exactly 16 minutes...

Great review, but the watch has no interest for me.
These new watches are all large and thick.
Too much for a TAG. plus, not even ceramic bezel? Not worth more than $2000 from an AD.
It's a tag

Nice looking watch. Unfortunately, has the TAG stink on it and is overpriced. Is also too big and too tall (14mm+ is too much).
too big and out of proportion to its vintage predecessor, plus it is sold in Macys.
Ray Donovan JR - How is your last point relevant to the global public' appreciation of this watch?
Macy's isn't a high end watch retailer, thus devaluing the brand through the lens that consumers will perceive it through.
Chris Boulas i agree macys in nyc sells breitlings also which shouldnt be allowed
A lot of Rolexs are sold are sold by "fences" too...
It's a seiko movement isn't?
Riposte IIRC Heuer02 is based on 1887, so Seiko IP is part of their chronographs. New Tudor uses 02 movement also.
Zeus Sugi new Tudor chrono uses Breitling movement
Heuer 02 is 100% inhouse, not to be confused with Heuer 01 which is based on the 1887.
Jose gonçalves No, actually it isn't.
Looks cheap - don't think it's worth the money.
Too expensive and it doesn't click all the checkmarks, like for example no Ceramic, yes it is retro, but Ceramic doesn't hurt.
Mediocre
Poor review, please bring back other reviewers.
