Spidey can emote with the mask on, moving eyes or no moving eyes. You need an actor that understands body language, and a cinematographer that can convey emotion using the film's visual language. The only time they failed to do this was in The Amazing movies.
I agree, the McGuire Spider-Man Trilogy was great and really got me in this whole superhero thing, even though the 3rd one wasn't the greatest. As for the new costume: I'm not yet sure what to think about the AI in the suit, maybe it's a bit much, it I'll have to wait until I see the movie. So excited for it.
The moving eyes on the costume helps so much at least for me! I was excited when I saw it in Deadpool and I'm sure we'll be seeing it on more masked heroes as time goes by. (maybe do one about Batmans costumes? That would be awesome too!)
I like the idea, but with Batman, I actually have always liked suits where you can actually see his eyes. it is the one humanizing character trait Batman has left since he's essentially been made superhuman without being superhuman on paper. but bring it on for other heroes!
I love the MCU costume. Its just spot on idk why people complained at first. Its classic spidey. It manages to give you all the looks at once from Ditko when the eyes close to Romira when they open. The webbing is black not some gimmicky silver. The emblems are round and comic accurate not some overly complex spider. The web wings. He has all the tech from the comics like web shooters and spidey tracers and spidey signal. He even reloads his webs in the movie unlike the Garfield ones where he magically has infinite webbing. MARVEL knows what they're doing man. Spidey really is home.
Vinny Banana Man you're right,it's impossible to have infinite webs unlike Homecoming he changes his cartridges when he run off.BTW i like MCU too.peace✌
The webs aren’t really black but more of a reeeeaaally dark red nnd The black portions of the suit are kinda distracting. I think It also takes aways from the character that Tony built almost all of his tech and he has a suit that gets him out of most situations. It substitutes genuine problem solving for Karen in most parts.
The iron spider in the MCU is one hell of a suit. The robotic arms, blue glowing eyes, gold and black logo, giant spider symbol, and web lines that are cut into the suit are amazing. Those are just a few things about it.
I'm glad you talked about live action specifically, and that you mentioned old stuff too. I'd love to get a take on which in comic costume you like the best (OG, venom, scarlet spider, etc)
I honestly like the pointy eyes on the raimi suit. If anything I find those more reminiscent of the Todd McFarlane designs, albeit scaled down from the massive size, the eyes on the amazing Spider-Man 2 suit looks more like Mark Bagley Spider-Man which in both shape and size
Blake The Hamster yeah but there was a reason as to why the comic version of the black suit looked the way it did, Julia Carpenter recently (at the time) became Spider-Woman and had a new costume to go with the new person using the identity, the design of the Symbiote suit was subconsciously influenced by her costume.
I think the TASM suit is my favorite out of all of them. It looked cool and homemade, while still looking like a superhero suit. Then Raimi, but thats mostly nostalgia. Then the TASM2 suit because it is literally perfect. Then the homemade Homecoming suit because it was cool and unique. Then the actual Homecoming suit. It looks okay, but im not a big fan of the black bands or the spider logo.
The black webbing in the first two were necessary because red cgi characters were harder to make look realistic in the early 2000s the deep webbing gave it depth
Very cool series just to begin with and Kya is absolutely gorgeous. Feels like she talkin to people instead of just reading from a teleprompter. Awesome job to everyone can't wait to see you guys grow.
I prefer that she doesn't provide any bias, it's better that she just tells the evolution in material or budget or design. The old suits and different iterations of Spider-Man are great and a few have shown up in the comics, there is nothing to say about them other that they are all different and you see the result of that in progression of time.
This is such a good decision. I am a loyal SourceFed fan and was extremely upset how it all went down. I may not exactly be fond of this format yet, but I am going to give a subscribe as an appreciative thank you for what you guys decided to do. I wish you all the best in the future of NTN.
There was a prototype for a more comic looking black suit for Spider-man 3. It was cut out for unknown reasons but honestly if you look at it it makes you glad that they went with the version they did.
I'm forever a Spider-Man fan and will approve with whatever changes Peter Parker does. I'm in full support. And will always be a loyal fan til his death on screen and yes I'm going to tear up like how I did when Logan died.
I think the MCU Spider-Man costume is AWESOME!! I feel like the other Spider-Man costumes symbol had the spider symbol to big or the costume looks weird in a bunch of ways. But I feel like the MCU is the best, and I do love Andrew Garfield's movies were good and Toby Macguire's were even better, but I feel that the MCU Spider-Man was the best.
Great video, Kaya seems much more confident this time around and I can watch without being pissed. Potential is there and very much looking forward to you guys growing ^^
Ibdo really like the stark/homecoming suit. The added elements of a round back spider and smaller romita style eyes. Those to designs from the comicbooks that haven't been in previous versions.
That's the problem I have mostly with the new Spidey the suit. In the comics all gadgets that he has are self made using what resources he could gather at home and at his university. in home coming they are saying it all came from stark tec, which really sucks because it dums down the charterer, it downplays and almost eliminates the inventive genius that Peter Parker really is. the hole idea of Spider-Man is that an average guy can achieve greatness. That even if the world is against you, you can still rise and become more then what you where born into. Having someone like Stark just give him all those inventions pre made just cheep-ins that achievement and make Peter Parker's struggle less meaningful.
Perrin Greycloak I agree with you ALOT! but I think that's evened out when they made him fight the final battle with his homemade suit and still came on top
I really enjoyed this look at spider-man live action coustumes could you please do a look as his animated and comicbook coustumes maybe even a viedo about werid toy coustume.
Apparently the Raimi black suit was originally gonna be closer to the comic look and have this sleek and shiny texture but the costume designer said it was scrapped because it looked like one of those leather bondage suits
I like how in homecoming they designed an original homemade suit before the high-tech one as it's obvious that a middle class kid from Queens could not afford a high tech suit without help which is a factor people haven't really taken into account before, one that's just been ignored.
4:19 fun fact, Sam Raimi was going to use the black Spider-Man outfit from the comics.... there are literally pictures of that costume. Look it up. But they decided not to use it because they didn't want Spider-Man looking like he was from a porno. After seeing those pictures I kinda agree with them
Also, for the black suit. They actually made a bunch of test suits like the comic black suit, but they felt it didn't read well on camera, and looked too much like a gimp suit.
I love this outfit most of all but I I really hated most of the bad guys from the first three spider mans. the green goblin looked like a power ranger villain.
mrrhey for a movie (without thinking in comic based thing) Spider-Man's suit in the trilogy is actually really great (except for the black suit). I do agree with the Goblin's suit, they almost had an animatronic mask for him, it's was accurate

As for the new costume: I'm not yet sure what to think about the AI in the suit, maybe it's a bit much, it I'll have to wait until I see the movie.
So excited for it.
the AI is actually a clever way to have Spidey monologue to himself like in the comics
Sebastian Greiner I don't mind, the eyes moving in the suit, that was good
I love the "The Amazing Spider-man" costume !! ANd i am sad that SONY STOPPED Making T.A.S.M . I wuz really looking forward to part 3
The moving eyes on the costume helps so much at least for me! I was excited when I saw it in Deadpool and I'm sure we'll be seeing it on more masked heroes as time goes by. (maybe do one about Batmans costumes? That would be awesome too!)
Faylen battman got his mouth though
They need to do it for Batmans eyes. Same with Vision.
I like the idea, but with Batman, I actually have always liked suits where you can actually see his eyes. it is the one humanizing character trait Batman has left since he's essentially been made superhuman without being superhuman on paper. but bring it on for other heroes!
Kya: "Let's keep this one a while."
Sony: *chuckles* You fool..."
I love the MCU costume. Its just spot on idk why people complained at first. Its classic spidey. It manages to give you all the looks at once from Ditko when the eyes close to Romira when they open. Vinny Banana Man you're right,it's impossible to have infinite webs unlike Homecoming he changes his cartridges when he run off.BTW i like MCU too.peace✌
I liked thr organic ones more
Twanekkel nah that's gross
The webs aren’t really black but more of a reeeeaaally dark red nnd The black portions of the suit are kinda distracting. I think It also takes aways from the character that Tony built almost all of his tech and he has a suit that gets him out of most situations. Me I just love the ultimate design better which is one of the few things that asm2 got right and the costume is one of them
Ohhhhhh the iron spider will come just wait
AfroAndy and it did!
Why say it like its a goodthing?
wait for infinity war
The iron spider in the MCU is one hell of a suit. The robotic arms, blue glowing eyes, gold and black logo, giant spider symbol, and web lines that are cut into the suit are amazing. Those are just a few things about it.
CrypticAxon

"Let's keep Tom Holland for a while"
Man, I don't feel so good about that prediction
Hi I'm from the future and no.
@@redditer1544 I'm from the further future and he still here
I like this video, its more like she's talking to a group of friends and less like a board room presentation. Great job!
Ok
and they usually have know idea about the topic and miss pronounce everything
Jeez! Tone it down with the unnecessary cleavage show girl!
Toby's suit is what I grew up with. I mean, the new MCU suit is cool, but Toby's suit has more of a heroic feel.
I'm glad you talked about live action specifically, and that you mentioned old stuff too. I'd love to get a take on which in comic costume you like the best (OG, venom, scarlet spider, etc)
The Sam Raimi costume but with the Homecoming eyes would be the perfect Spider-Man costume imo.
Toby McGuire looked badass. I'd say his costume is the best there
“Sony, marvel, lets kip this one for a bit? “
Them
NAAAHHHHH!
I LOVE the black bands! It's screams fresh, stylized and faithful when added to the costume
Took a little while into the video, but Kya's growing on me. Liked. Also Spidey is my favourite as well. =)
Tactavious yeah at first she felt a little annoying but I can dig it.
The black Spider-Man in San raimi films was a more realistic than the comic book ones
Starfleet2360 no a fan redesigned the Spider-Man suit for 100 bucks
The colours are amazingly faithful, the shape of the eyes....it honours Ditko and Romita somehow. The best by far.
A great video. I like the detail and content of this. Plus, this is actually thought enlightening to see his crappy suit from 40 years ago lol.
Kya Gibson Reminds me of the suit that my mum made when I was five - it was like that lol.
Kinda loving how slightly awkward all the hosts are in front of the camera. It'll be good to see how they settle in and make it their own!
Anastasia O'sullivan yeah
I think the TASM suit is my favorite out of all of them. It looked cool and homemade, while still looking like a superhero suit.
Then Raimi, but thats mostly nostalgia.
Then the TASM2 suit because it is literally perfect.
Then the homemade Homecoming suit because it was cool and unique.

The black webbing in the first two were necessary because red cgi characters were harder to make look realistic in the early 2000s the deep webbing gave it depth
Toby's costume is the best one
Spidey's costume in TASM2 is and will always be my favorite costume.
Very cool series just to begin with and Kya is absolutely gorgeous. Feels like she talkin to people instead of just reading from a teleprompter. Awesome job to everyone can't wait to see you guys grow.
The amazing Spider-Man 2 suit is perfect
The Homecoming suit is probably one of my favorites.
I prefer that she doesn't provide any bias, it's better that she just tells the evolution in material or budget or design. The old suits and different iterations of Spider-Man are great and a few have shown up in the comics, there is nothing to say about them other that they are all different and you see the result of that in progression of time.
I like the MCU Costume
Dion Bayston me too
love the old 78-79 Spider-Man I grew up on it!
I hope an updated version of this video can be made for No Way Home. It would be cool to see where Kya stands on the other MCU Spidey suits.
Awesome video, guys!! Glad I subbed. Can't wait to see this channel grow!!
I like bro
I'm one of the fans that likes the newer costume the most. Loved the breakdown thank you for making your own channel.

JB:I like that laugh NYEHEHEHE 😂😂
actually i LOVE 1977 costume. i love the outside one-handed webshooter and silver utility belts.
That laugh at 5:08 😂 so cute, love this!
I really like the fact that spidey know talks to “himself” but he’s talking to his A.I. like he does in the comics. But with a twist
I love the new costume in infinite war with a spider going all around his back with yellow outlines
I love the way how homcomings eyes move that just cool.
Content is improving, keep it up! You held up your end of the bargain, I held up mine. Thanks for doing the right thing and starting your own channel!
I remember Spider-Man on The Electric Company! Man, I feel old.
When she said "I'm glad they didn't go with the iron spider costume" I was like ummm.... Huh 😅
This is such a good decision. I am a loyal SourceFed fan and was extremely upset how it all went down. I may not exactly be fond of this format yet, but I am going to give a subscribe as an appreciative thank you for what you guys decided to do. I wish you all the best in the future of NTN.

The costume was sick and he was playing his role like a boss
I love this lady, I also fucking hate how much Peter takes his mask off, gotta love them buggy eyes too
I think the MCU Spider-Man costume is AWESOME!! I feel like the other Spider-Man costumes symbol had the spider symbol to big or the costume looks weird in a bunch of ways. I really loved the sam raimi suit from the original trilogy. its even inspiration for my oc shirt
I love The costume from the first Amazing Spider-Man movie. All though it may not look as good as part 2's, I like it for the creativity.
That's the problem I have mostly with the new Spidey the suit. I love the MCU spider-man because that Is so cool.
my favorite is
1.Sam Ramis Spidey
2.MCU spider man
3.amazing spider man 2
I must be the only one who LOVES the first amazing Spider-Man's basketball costume
My favorite Spider-Man costume with the Sam raimi costume
The raimi era black spider costume changed the spider logo if you did not notice
My favorite must be the amazing spider man 1 costume because I just love its design
I love both The Amazing Spider-Man costumes.. not great movies but great costumes
Thank you for rellazing that I figured it out before this video and thanks for that detail

banana heads The frog man
I really enjoyed this look at spider-man live action coustumes could you please do a look as his animated and comicbook coustumes maybe even a viedo about werid toy coustume.

I always thought the ASM2 suit took inspiration from Mark Bagley's Ultimate design, which is my personal favorite design.
WHAT DO YOU MEEEEAN
Iron spider is frickin awesome
Kya and Dev are great!
I liked the black suit in Spider-Man 3...
4:19 fun fact, Sam Raimi was going to use the black Spider-Man outfit from the comics.... there are literally pictures of that costume. Look it up. But they decided not to use it because they didn't want Spider-Man looking like he was from a porno. After seeing those pictures I kinda agree with them
I actually like the pointy eyes in the Raimi trilogy because it think it makes him look cooler and more serious.
Also, for the black suit. They actually made a bunch of test suits like the comic black suit, but they felt it didn't read well on camera, and looked too much like a gimp suit.
“See how it evolves in infinity war and everything after”
How do I put this?
😂
He looks sick in Infinity!
I liked the X-Men costumes from X2, X3, First Class, most of Days of Future Past, and the Four Horsemen of Apocalypse.
I love this outfit most of all but I I really hated most of the bad guys from the first three spider mans. the green goblin looked like a power ranger villain.
Jesse Smith ahaha I was just thinking about how ugly green goblin looked. Come on do you really think that armor looked cool?
Electro looked like a Blue Man Group member.
You think Sandman and doctor octopus looked bad?
mrrhey for a movie (without thinking in comic based thing) Spider-Man's suit in the trilogy is actually really great (except for the black suit). I do agree with the Goblin's suit, they almost had an animatronic mask for him, it's was accurate
I liked the Goblin suit, just wish it had hints of purple.
love this! well thought out and very thought provoking! wondering now myself how spideys costume will evolve from here.
Way off topic, but this girl has the coolest hair.
I like the new costume! in Spider-Man homecoming
