  • 'Passion' is the story of Jack Passion, a man who has defied social convention and become an ambassador for the sport of competitive beard growing. Through good times and bad, he has pushed on to become the two time world beard champion. He shares this inspirational story with us and guides us through his world in a 7 minute narrative doc. He considers what his world has become due to his beard and contemplates the thought of a world without, much like that of the story of Samson and Delilah, he too faces the conflict of losing all he has become with just the cut of his hair.

    I love how serious he is. He treats his beard like a separate entity. It has the same tongue in cheek feel as some South Park episodes

    Nice one! I hope Jack never shaves off his magnificent beard... the world is a better place because of having distinctive individuals like Jack Passion in it!

    It's funny ... a lot of people may watch this video ( and maybe not in it's entirety ) and laugh. Perhaps, even roll their eyes. But what Jack Passion says is quite actually on point. It is 2016. This particular video took place in 2011. And in that time, love for beards, and the understanding of why one grows one out, is still greatly misunderstood. I have a 2-month beard myself, yet none of my family members ... or girlfriend ... have any love for it. They find it disgusting ... repulsive ... etc. So, when Jack Passion says it takes confidence to grow a beard out ... well, he's not kidding. Wonderful video.

      If people truly appreciate you for who you are, they will for you. sometimes, it takes time and maybe you need to help them understand. It's not easy but it can be done and Jack says it all in just a few minutes in this video. stay strong and stay bearded my friend. It's just a natural state of being, and being a man. cheers mate

      +Beefcake McGee it's the bearded journey, my bearded brethren. those of us that get, we get it! whether you're just starting and been growing for ever, it's beard love. beard support and encouragement, it's just the duty of a beardsmen, to do what we can for beardspiration. #beardlife

      Thanks, brother. Means a lot. Am only 2-months in, but am definitely trying to keep my head up and move forward proudly.
      Hardest thing for me though, is not necessarily what people think of me, but being / staying patient with the whole beard process lol. I mean, I definitely have a beard. But it's not quite a dense in some spots as I would like to be. The hair is there. But NEARLY as dense as the bulk on my other hairs. But ... staying patient lol.

    • @bipolargods509
      @bipolargods509 8 років тому +1

      +Beefcake McGee it all comes with time, and a lot of patience. this video of Jack says it all really. I've been growing a beard for over a decade and I've learned A LOT, but I haven't leaned all there is. There will be good and bad beard days but in the end keeping that beard on your face will be one of the most definitive things you can do. check out my buddy the Spanish beard UA-cam page. very good support, community, and tips/tricks, ins and outs of bearding. the thing I try to tell every man starting for the first time growing, patience is key. second, surround yourself with positive support, such as joining a local beard club. 3rd, let your beard grow for at least a year, no trimming at all, even the moustache, just let it all be. letting my moustache grow was one of the hardest things, but moustache etiquette helps. going for a yeard will help you gauge how thick your beard will become and give you shape. after the yeard, you can have fun with it.

    Jack Passion no longer has a long beard according to his website. And I will be cutting my 2ft long beard soon as well. It was fun while it lasted..but having a long beard brings a lot of unwanted negative attention..and you just reach a point where you say enough is enough. Good luck to those growing theirs. Remember..it's just hair..so don't give it more power than it deserves.

    Hello Jack, watched in entirety. It has been a while since you posted. About me.. I have worn a beard since May 1993. In October 2017 I decided to let it grow. Now in the 17th month with a length of 13.75 inches. I know what you mean about those who love a beard or those who hate a beard. I just wonder if you still have the long beard. If so how long is it now. March 2019..

    good genetics come in handy and you have to take care of it if you want it to get that long and not look nasty. you also have to have confidence because there going to be a lot of negative comments made about it. yes it's not something you can practice or get better at doing, but it does take some dedication to get it that long.

    His beard is super premium. Come on though, people with way worse beards than jacks can grow such a hellacious mustache. Its really kinda crazy that he has a childs mustache but such an epic beard. Jacks upper lip is hair challenged, thats really the only answer. Jack Passion has a shit stache. The end.
