Same thing next year, which includes granddaughters. This cycle is broken when a new younger male defeats the old king and brings in new genetics to keep the pride healthy.

This prevents inbreeding they usually leave the pride for behind and if they are tough enough will set up a pride far away from their original home.
Yes, they both did.. They came back and killed a wildebeest nearby on dad territory and dad smelled them, seek them out and they fought again and was gone for good. Dad took their kill after that fought the 2nd time. They eventually started their own pride and had healthy cubs as well. I seen the story on this pride.
