Loved the tips! One thing I did that worked well was to drill and tap a 1/8” female pipe thread hole in the end of the plunger chamber to install the brake pressure switch. Removed the plunger assembly first so I could inspect and clean. Thanks for a video well thought out.

You solved my goof. I did not trim the mc bracket. I was puzzled why the disc brakes did not grab tighter. Took a look after video and pedal arm was hitting bracket. Problem solved. Love your content. Thank you.

Great video, it's nice to show how you made modifications on installation clearance issues. Where there's a will there's a way. The product seems to include everything needed for different applications too. Thanks for a video that addresses your particular set-up.

It's Easter Sunday, 506pm CST....AND I'M READY TO BENCH BLEED NO WAY!!!!! It went pretty smoothly, a new round file helped open the frame holes, and used washers between the frame and bracket. Cut about an inch off the push-rod. I gotta figure out the proportioning valve situation next. I got all new lines ready to go in, and the shoes are springed up and ready to mount. Thanks again for your help!

Nice vid. Watching these I know I could work on one of those older vehicles. I do my own work on my R1 but modern cars are too much of a pain in the butt. I dropped a socket and it never hit the ground. It's stuck in the engine bay some where.

I put this kit on a cj5 with 11 inch brakes and ran into problems. the M/C does not have a machined groove to accept the rubber bellows on the brake rod. I ordered the dust boot separately and used a clamp. its a jeep and you got to keep the crud out of the M/C .this unit is a tight fit. I also had issues with the drag link coming in contact with the forward banjo fitting. don't know why that is happening . the port casting for the rear brakes sticks out farther than the front. but a dual res is the safer way to go

You should have installed this kit with the L134. Lots of things are close fitting. I installed mine with the body removed and still had some clearance issues. But it was worth the trouble.

Great video! Could not have installed without your tips. Where did you get those banjo adapters for the front and rear brake lines? And did you have to re-flair the lines? Thanks!

Hi! I’m glad it helped. Thanks for the feedback! Those fittings came with the kit from Kaiser Willy’s. I didn’t have to re flare them. 👍

Great information. Half way through this conversation on my brother’s m38. Nice to know you can delete the proportion valve if you are going 4wheel disc.
What brand of tires are you using on this Jeep.
    Thanks

Can you share what mechanical brake light switch you went with? I’m going to be doing this swap with my m38 here soon and don’t plan to use a portioning valve.

Were you able to find out from Kaiser Willys what the master cylinder is designed for? I would like to know so that if the master cylinder fails while I am on the road that I can go to a local parts store to find a replacement.
I am in the middle of doing the install of this kit on a 1955 CJ3B. I have ran into the same problem that you had with the bracket. I also had slop in my brake pedal so I ordered a new pedal. I have also modified the shaft on the pedal for the plunger to give a more direct angle between the brake pedal and the plunger.
You referred to the brake light switch in the video. Since you did not install the proportioning valve did you put in 2 switches one on the front line and the other on the back line? That way if either line fails you still have brake lights. Or, did you put in a mechanical switch off the brake pedal itself?

I could well be wrong, but some of the ones used in the past were early Corvette parts. Like a late '60's Vette possibly. Hopefully someone more experienced will chime in
