Lagertha was allowed to be as complex and flawed as many main male characters (maybe more so), she could be sympathetic and frightening in equal turns, where sometimes you hated what she was doing but couldn't help but root for her as a character, ya know? She's an awesome character and I hope we see more characters like her in the future of TV.
Honestly, this woman buried what like two husbands, half a dozen lovers, all but one of her children, and more enemies than she cared to count. I wouldn't mess with her.
