I’ve had this amplifier in my system for almost a month and did some comparison with my NAD and Carver amps. Dave’s review is spot on with my impressions of the Fosi , we’ll done
I've been craving to buy the Arya since its v1 but couldn't afford them back then, but since your sound impressions description of it matches 100% all my favourite things of any headphone I'm now very excited to get my Arya Organic set just tomorrow. My only other Hifiman headphone is the Sundara which I like quite enough but I want something much more exciting and according to most reviewers this is it. So I'm happy I've waited until this new Organic version since it looks like they really tuned it to perfection finally. There is always going to be other reviewers critisizing them but I don't care. I trust on you guys, the ones who love it who are the majority. Can't wait to get my hands on them tomorrow!
Received them 1 week ago. I have a Sundara for a 3 years now, Sundara closed for a week, Ananda Nano for a 3 month now and XS for a 1 year. All i can say - Arya Organic is absolutely wonderful thing. It just scales up everything. Tonality, Bass, mids, highs, stage, depth, imaging, seperation,holographics.. and the lovely extra bonus - the drivebility - only 16 OHM by 94 db..This is wow!! All i was waiting from Arya O - is here. Now..i am wonder - what would be the clear steup up from Arya O? I mean - what headphones can deliver more details, more soundstage, more stage depth and even better tonality..What would be the top 3 headphones from your expierence that can provide a clear upgrade from Arya O?
Several headphone could be considered an upgrade in one way or another. The two that I've heard that come to mind that are better in regards to details, stage and tonality are Audeze LCD-5 and STAX SR-009. When you get into the upper ranges of headphones differencea become harder to differentiate and it becomes more about the experience.
He1000 Stealth and He1000SE. Believe it or not most people prefer them over the organic and think they even have a better tuning. HE1K Stealth is only 100$ more with better resolution and less fatiguing brigbt treble. Personally i'd say He1000 Stealth, as its the perfect of both worlds of Organics and He100SE and its LESS bright and fatiguing than both with better SubBass.
At CanJam I was told that the organic has a higher end driver. Like to hear it more! On the CanJam system, it was running in a high watt/current amp, which made it sound a little wild and wooly, especially the bass which was unglued a bit dynamically from the rest of the presentation. Struck me as a detailed fun listen. With a lot of value.
@ScottoGrotto FT5 is a little warmer and thicker in the bottom end and not quite as sparkly up top. Tone and timbre is better on the Organic. The Organic is an improvement overall but the FT5 is still a solid headphone in its price range. If the funds become available I will add the Organic to my collection.

Hmm I've not heard the Empy in over a year. But I had some good memories with them. If my memory serves me correctly the Organic is more open and airy, has a little less bass impact, is a little more elevated in the mids and treble, has a tad more sparkle and energy but is better detailed, resolving. I bought the Organic and the first impressions weren't the best. I can confirm that they have changed a lot after more than a week of burning. I noticed it especially in the bass and treble
I got my Organics about 2 weeks ago. I was really looking forward into finally having a set of “end game” headphones at least in the sub $1500 range. I’m coming from a pair of Dan Clark Aeon X (Open) & I was very underwhelmed by the Arya Organic’s & didn’t feel they were $500+ more in overall sound than my DC Aeon X’s so I resold the Organics. This also the first time I’ve run into a set of headphones that were “too big” for my head? LOL! Constantly felt like I had to adjust the band & the notches were soft so they would always move or “click” larger after a few minutes. The problem with my ex Arya SE is how dry and thin vocal songs out of this headphone. It is a true masterpiece when listening to classic but any song with vocals are dry and thin. I wonder is it still the same with the organic?
I just received these cans today, and, at the first listening, I have to say that I disagree quite a bit with most reviewers, except maybe Andrew (The Headphone Show). They do need to be burned in, so I may change my evaluation of them down the line. But my first impressions are that they are extremely and unpleasantly bright. I am in my early 70's, so I was expecting the high end to sound a bit more pleasant, but it is definitely fatiguing, except when listening to very mellow mixes, like jazz. The mids are quite recessed, more so than older Beyer Dynamic headphones. The bass does extend deep and low, but lacks punch and definition. It feels a bit flabby. I am a studio engineer/mixer so I understand that my standards a bit high. I have a pair (brand new) Adam Audio A8H monitors and those are a joy to listen to. I also have Beyer Dynamic DT 177X GO (Massdrop version) and they sound much more natural and balanced in comparison. The mids are way more linear (subjectively) and there's no "smiley curve" feel to them. Bass is also extended, maybe a tad less, but nice and punchy. The high end is bright and transparent, but not overbearing. Those cans are close in character to the A8H monitors. Another pair of cans I have is a Focal Elex, also Massdrop. Those are dynamic, hence very punchy, but lack both treble and bass extension. I could live with the treble but bass is very boxy and subdued. I did hear Meze Empyrean Elite at a Headphone shop and loved them, but was shocked when I heard the price; don't want to pay that much. So the quest for the "Holy Grail" headphones continues...
Yes, I've been told by inToit Reviews and several in the comments that the Organic take a good bit of burn-in. I didn't hear them straight out of the box as they were loaned. Thanks for the first impressions. Look forward to hearing impressions after burn-in.
I personally love hifiman’s brighter sound but I feel like there was a lost opportunity here to do something really different and pull back from their house sound a bit and go warmer.
@@mikeg2491 I think the recessed midrange creates more of a problem than the boosted 8kHz region. I'll make a little fixed EQ when I have the time, but as of now, I'm sticking to my Beyer Dynamic DT177X GO cans for a much more natural reproduction. I was hoping to be able to use the Arya Organic as a reference headphone, but no way without EQ correction.
Been a good while since I heard a LCD-X. If memory serves me correctly, the LCD-X is warmer, less forward in the uppers and treble, isn't as wide and deep in stage, similar imaging, Organic has slight advantage with details and resolution.
@@TheHonestAudiophile Thanks for replying, I have asked you similar questions before and I really appreciate your input. I have 2021 LCD-X, Focal Clear OG and Sennheiser HD650, I guess I was looking for something with sound stage, to compliment the others. Its confusing because folks say the Edition XS sounds similar to the Arya V3, then other channels say the Arya Organic is just a barely upgraded V3 with more treble and that some folks do not like the higher treble peaks. Hifiman makes this all very confusing.
Hey ive compared XS and Arya Stealth id agree with them about the Edition XS sounding very close to the Arya SE but with less thinness to the sound. The Arya SE definitely have better details and imaging than the XS but not by much. If i were you id highly recommend looking at the He1000 Stealth as many people view it as a slight upgrade to Arya Organic and extremely close to He1000SE but while having smother/less bright treble than both @@Rayman30
@@Rayman30i also own LCD-X 2021, a Focal Elegia with better pads (sold my clear as I didnt like it much) and a HD600/HD650 and love them. Hifiman is definitely a bigger soundstage and perfect compliment to those headphones. I got my XS for 270$ in perfect condition on ebay lol IMO no reason for me to get a Arya Stealth/Organic. Like i said in my other comment i'd say go for HE1000 Stealth!!! He1000Se IS the better headphone with more detail but it costs a bit more, has too much fatiguing treble like Organic, and is a Small improvement over HE1K Stealth.
My ONLY complaint with this headset is, like the Stealth, the synthetic headband. After a lot of extended use it will start to wear and chip off leaving little black specs on your head/desk. I really wish at this price point they would include the leather band from the HE1000s.
Interesting. I don't find them to be bright at all. I have heard that out of the box they are bright and aggressive but with break-in they settle down; can't confirm because I reviewed a loaned unit.

@emanueleasr2859 Mytek Liberty DAC ii

LCD-X vs Arya Organic?
@Rayman30 yes it can be confusing for sure
Ахуительно рассказал! 🙂
👏
My ONLY complaint with this headset is, like the Stealth, the synthetic headband. After a lot of extended use it will start to wear and chip off leaving little black specs on your head/desk. I really wish at this price point they would include the leather band from the HE1000s.
Interesting. I've not had any issues with the headband on my Arya Stealth, Ananda or Sundara.
👍
To bright for me.
Interesting. I don't find them to be bright at all. I have heard that out of the box they are bright and aggressive but with break-in they settle down; can't confirm because I reviewed a loaned unit.
@@TheHonestAudiophile I don't find them bright at all, I begin to think that people getting a little bit to picky on forums, and Im really sensitive to brightness so clearly it is the wrong or wright equipment
