I'm just going through all of the tutorials on yt (being a RTS veteran of 20+ years) and this was the best structured (thanks for the timeline sections!) and most straightforward and informative one so far. And I've still learned something new (knights have two attacks) which is great (I'm trying to know ... EVERYTHING about this game. :D ). If you want to quickly throw down multiple of the same buildings fast. Press the buildings hotkey, hold shift, rapidly click the same spot. The game will select where to put each building in a pattern.
Just started playing and I have to say I love the video that unlocked about the castle after my first campaign scenario.

I have played both Company Of Heroes games by Relic - But never played an Age Of Empires game before - It was the fact Relic has taken over that got me interested in AOE - So for a new player you have done a super job in helping people like me - Super job on the video - New sub :)
Company of heroes player here aswell, enjoying aoe4 but hope coh3 doesn't take inspiration from the MASS UNIT approach aoe takes
Coh being more about elite units is more my style

Great video im knew to aoe i will make shure to do all this tips and tricks.
An alternative way to send all villagers back to work is Ctrl + Shift + R.
This shortcut works without having to select a Town Center.
Really need to get the unit grouping thing down. I played AoE and AoE II so much back in the day but was never very good at it and this is why. I always find myself low on resources so I just create whatever units I can afford and send them all in together.

The passive bonus is going to confuse the shit out of me. I'm sure I'll adjust it's just going to take a while

How do you oppose players in MP that just spam elephants to destroy you? xD
Elephants take a lot of time and gold to make so your best best is probably to try and put the pressure on them early while they dont have lots of upgrades.

"Taxing", don't know if that's the right word for it. Completed all the challenges and got gold on my first try. Like, Late Economy. How did you even get 13min on it?
Got 8min 58 sec on my first try.

I hate art of war it is so boring. A tutorial after a tutorial, and they waste so much time. And they're not even well balanced they are challenges. The opposite of what a guide should be like.
I like art of war very much, its very focused imo.
