Amazing photographs, Thank you Irene so much to making these precious memories so beautiful and professional!!! And thank you for you patience and time!!! I watched this video like 6 times already)))
Great tips for those just getting into family photography! I'm watching this as I edit a recent family session. LOL I use several of these ideas for family sessions myself. I've just started bringing small animal figures to sessions with young children and tell them I have a surprise at the beginning to get them interested, then give the toy mid-session for some excitement and then tell them they have to hide it behind them or in their hands or I'll steal it back. It seems to help in getting nice candid smiles a little faster. I usually do shots of the parents at the end when the kids have gotten tired of the process but I'm going to try the idea of starting with the parents to see how that helps get the kids interested. I love that you can always learn something new to try!
The mom is so pretty! Beautiful pix of the family!! Also as a mom of a 3 and 1 year old family portraits are actually sooo stressful for me. The best session we had was on the beach bc the beach was like a big sand box for the kids and they enjoyed playing around & didnt mind the "photo session" part!
Thank you. I'm from Russia. I do not know English, but everything is clear. You write aperture, shutter speed, iso-it's convenient. To you of success and successes. Wrote through an interpreter)))
You give me a huge inspiration and motivation, these videos are really helpful to me! I love them all, I am watching them always when I have some free time. Thank you for sharing tricks and tips :))
Just did my first family shoot (parents with a 1 yr old) last week! I can honestly say your advice is the exact advice I'd give based on my experience :-) Thank you, Irene!!
I'm sorry, perhaps should have clarified my question. Of the three faces, which at times were on different focal planes, which did concentrate your focus. The closest face, the center face or a favorite face no matter the position? Thanks again for taking your time to share and educate us!
As you can see in the picture I always position the subjects in one plane, so it doesn't really matter on whose face i focus ( most of the time on the middle face)
Loved this video. Your pictures are always amazing. I'm trying to start my own photography business so this helped a lot with how to take family pics as I never have before. Thank you.
Another nice video Irene :) People with kids know it's more fun to feed them before tossing and shaking them. Not !!!! My cousin did that with my son about 2 mins before his wedding photos were shot. The white tux was barely missed. :)
Hey Irene! Is there a way you could share or guide us on how to charge services as a photographer? A general or an example way to do it with the services that you provide. Thanks
After watching this video, it is a HUGe curiosity of how many photographs you take in a session like this. Like this one, and what you do typically. I take about 190 photographs digitally, and try to go no more than 2 rolls of 24/36exp film. From that, I aim before I even shoot to get 4 shots that I deliver printed, but have them look though maybe 4-10 shots of each look, or of the shoot if there are extras. Film really gets me to (this is my talk to myself, not to you or anyone reading this
I find an external light meter is usually unnecessary unless your camera doesn't have a light meter or you're using an external/multiple external flashes. Set your aperture, take a few test shots, and adjust your other settings accordingly
The toddler is so cute... but yeah they have short span attention and easily gets bored... they are like pet photography... catching their attention and making them stay still is so hard 😝 thanks for the tip
i know what you mean. i shoot families to make a little more extra cash when I don't have boudoir sessions. it's funny when people see what I shoot but ask for completely differs genres.

I do the same, shoot the parents first because kids are so hard to photograph. Love your work as always Irene!!
Hi Irene, are you using continuous focus since the child is moving like crazy?

You should do a video on you edited these/more natural editing. I just did my first family shoot last weekend and wasn't totally happy with it.
I agree. No one is happy with their first shoot though..
Would also love a follow up on how these were edited.

2:31 how do you expose for that shot, do you give priority to the face or do you use an intermediate measure?
Regards, nice video!

how do you get them in focus when theyre moving around like that? 2:15 is my goal but my images always turn out out of focus when i try that!
Agnieszka Baraniak you should put a higher shutter speed
I look forward to more videos.Keep it up!
Thank you for the video Irene. Could you show us how you edited these photos?
Thank you again!
Irene, thanks for the video. Do you use continuous focus while child is moving?
Thank you Irene. May I ask, at f/2, where did you focus?
I always focus on the face, eyes
I'm sorry, perhaps should have clarified my question. Of the three faces, which at times were on different focal planes, which did concentrate your focus. The closest face, the center face or a favorite face no matter the position? Thanks again for taking your time to share and educate us!
LtDeadeye good question! I need to know that too :P

Thank you for this ❤️
Hey Irene, Do you use spot metering and meter from the faces?
Beautiful pic Irene i esp loved the last 1 with his face fround up so cute😂
Did you use lightroom to color correct these photos? And, I assume you went to any park that was near by? Awesome pics by the way!
yes, these are mostly edited in Lightroom, the family chose the location
Awesome thanks that helps! :)
Good image, may i ask how you engage with your client ? haha thanks
Do you use light room and Photoshop? I would love if you did a video on how you edited these
she probably just did lightroom and edited the basics. exposure, color and curves
That guy was like, "Holy shit can we be done now?" lol
great shots.
*SO BEAUTIFUL*
ThisIsNajma ar soomaaliyaa meel walba waa lagaga horeeyaa
how long did you give the little boy before he was done
So you were shooting in Motion Feature?
Very helpful! Thank you:)
at 1.8 did you have alot of pictures where not all the subjects were in focus?
how did you come about getting your exposure?? . . light meter? . . starting out at 2.O and experimenting??
I find an external light meter is usually unnecessary unless your camera doesn't have a light meter or you're using an external/multiple external flashes. Set your aperture, take a few test shots, and adjust your other settings accordingly
Irene plz share u using camera settings,
Salmanul Faris literally in the video
How much for family shots and how you give ur client photos?
Irene is my YT crush... she's the cutest.
The toddler is so cute... but yeah they have short span attention and easily gets bored... they are like pet photography... catching their attention and making them stay still is so hard 😝 thanks for the tip
Great!
How pose graduation with toga, miss, please ? Alone and family ?
u did great
Thumbs up just for the spray and pray quote 😂
I love your Photography irene.
reupload? i wanted to ask how long did the photoshoot take ?
yes, i needed to fix few problems :) It was about 2.5 hours
👏👏👏❣️
There is something about the 85mm glass, found it more pleasing than the 35mm.great pictures nonetheless.
pls show before after edit
"Spray and pray" lmaoooo I love that
You don't even use a lens hood but you seem to have no problem shooting into the sun?
I usually pray first then spray. LOL!
how were you able to get everyone in focus with such a low aperture?
They are all in the same line of depth of field
Dobre - wykorzystam. Dzieki.
You are so cute!😍
great advice.
For the composition I usually prefer to not have peoples faces in the middle of the frame with a lot of space above.
You have breathtaking eyelashes.
💕💕💕💕💕
cute shoot. why don't you do families as much?
Because its not my passion in photography:)
i know what you mean. i shoot families to make a little more extra cash when I don't have boudoir sessions. it's funny when people see what I shoot but ask for completely differs genres.
thank you...
You so beautiful 😍
Muy bueno
Just saw the video with Jason Lanier. Pls don't switch to Sony lol.
He hit his father in the face?.? I wouldn't be alive right now if that was me 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
f2.0? You really stopped down this time ;)
