Just got my Mark X (2017 250RDS Black) 5 days after this video was posted. Got it at a bargain due to higher mileage (it is Toyota, 4GR is basically bullet proof). Getting Lexus power train but with a Toyota badge and price, also bigger rear room compared to an IS250. RDS is basically an IS250 F-Sport, but I still have to give it to Lexus for the NVH and refinement. There are a couple some short-comings for this car: 1) Soft body frame (as it is based on a 10 year old platform) 2) Poor sound insulation 3) Weaker brakes 4) Lack of low revv torque (the cylinder stroke is shorter than bore) After injecting the foam into the car's mainframe (with KL Autofoam), the car felt much stiffer and it is almost felt like a continental car, the difference is like day and night. Next project will be upgrading the brakes and maybe ECU remap to improve the car's responsiveness. Overall, hoping to keep the car for long term (300,000km maybe?).. I do agree a lot of people mistaken my car as a Lexus.
Actually the 0-30kmh is amazing (at least in my stock GS250). Immediate leap off the line will easily and repeatably win BMW F10 G30 5 series and Audi A4 2.0T from traffic lights as BMW has that lag in 1st....and DSG is hesitant also from standstill. The stock suspension is floaty/comfort biased....Hahah dangerous in fact if you push on Karak or other twisty highway.
Mark X is the successor of Cressida, Chaser then Mark II which shares the same chassis platform with Crown and Lexus GS. Still missing my top trimmed Mark X (GRX130 FL). It has the best reliability, quietness, engine responsiveness in its price range and amongst its competitors. Also, its outlook is the best one which can be lasted for decades without any aging feeling.
Meant to be a super smooth and good sounding uber reliable 2.5....If you see it like that it's super awesome. Otherwise - it's lame - most turbo lousy sounding high vibration small 4 cylinder will eat it alive.
I am thinking of getting a Mark X yr 2017 2.5 RDS but the dashboard sort of held me back....looks a bit dated. But if compared to Accord or Camry I would choose Mark X hands down. Great video, Great review...I am also from Sarawak 🙂
was the mark x not first introduced in2004 .... the x120 ... and there are like more than 2 engine variants 2.5 L 4GR-FSE V6, 2.5 L 5GR-FE V6, 3.0 L 3GR-FE V6, 3.5 L 2GR-FSE V6 and there is a supercharged version
Very nice car, luckily I got the a sports package version with all seen on this one plus combined with the premium features as well, I got Leather seating though makes car like an oven when parked in the sun but very nice and well put together car. I was also lucky to have gotten memory seat with mine.
Hats off to you brother on the review for this car. I was looking all over to get a local review. Planning to get the 2019 Toyota Mark X RDS Final Edition. I saw one at the dealer with the price tag of RM200k and very low mileage (less than 5000km). Just wanted to ask, how to change the existing language to English and is it worth it to change the infotainment system to a different one?? Please advise. Thank you.
I would say Camry if you looking have a more cheaper spare parts with availability. This is sharing most of parts with a Lexus IS. On top of that a V6 needs more item to replace than an I4 in the long run.
I've driven the older GRX 120 but was not able to shoot any content. Personally I feel like the older GRX 120 is more agile than this one. This newer one feels a tad like a boat if push hard. The GRX 120 also in my opinion has more iconic look but a it tide inside. The GRX 120 is more dynamic in handling while this one sacrifice more towards comfort.
finally someone who does mark x reviews and is english

Very limited reviews on this car,I'm glad it was featured on the channel 💯
Haha thank your for watching my video. The Mark X is a good car. 👍
definitely a nice car, regarded a ‘high class camry’. great v6 engine but the interior is abit underwhelming though.
Toyota 4GR engine is best V6 engine not in term of power, but in term of reliability of it.

Accord Camry bigger rear row. But chassis balance and engine refinement are very much inferior to Mark X. There is no compare.😃

I owned 2 Mark X 2009 and 2016. Love it to death
Man i really need one of these Mark X!
Bro please do a video on the maintenance of this car too
Great video. Can you review the infiniti q50 / infiniti skyline
The 250 sports 4GR is awesome starting from its exterior design and performance.
However, it's RWD performs terribly on grass and wet surfaces.
Nothing premium with the interiors.
Nice review bro excellent 💯🔥
Shalom bro. How about the maintenance , sama with the other tayota. we are in kuching?

That's the issue with the leather seats. I bought the cloth
Very nice review on classic V6 RWD Double Wishbone . . . Quality car as this is actually same engine, gearbox and chassis as 4th Gen Lexus GS!
Thanks for watching my video! Yeah the Mark X feels like a less luxurious GS haha.
3rd gen gs. 4th gen uses newer chassis.
can you do a review on the mark x g's please and also does the mark x g's comes in a 3.5L?
Planning to get 2017 model at RM140k. Think it is worth it, or there are better option?
bos can wear silent exhaust or not?? im afraid because it can disturb my neighbor.

In term of parts availability, long term cost and etc, should we go for Mark or Camry?

The engine sem like lexus is250 engine.
What is that front lip?
What 1/4mile time?
Well depending on your wheel size. Around 7.5 to 7.9 seconds for the 250G
How you compare it with GRX 120?
