How to Cook Penne Pasta

- Creamy and hearty penne pasta recipe. The sauce is cream based, but not too overwhelming, just enough to coat the pasta. Add sweet vermouth/vodka/white wine to give it a subtle sweetness. Use freshly grated parmesan cheese for superior flavor. Instead of pancetta, you could substitute with bacon, pastrami (beef) or sausage, but may need to add more olive oil if meat does not have enough fat. Optionally add some vegetable like sun-dried tomato, spinach, etc.

Thank you for this video. Very informative!! I love the last minute addition of the sun dried tomatoes! They must have tasted delicious with the vermouth! Where can I find Panchetta? Is that where the bacon normally is found in the store or is it some place else. Thanks again:)

It dosen't matter if u dont put the alchohol ...its suppose to be optional im pretty sure.Also the sauce made is Alfredo sauce and so far I havent seen people put alchohol
The ratio to penne-to-alfredo sauce is off quite a bit. Once combined as seen, rested, with the added topping. The Alfredo sauce will automatically diminish by the heat produced from the entire dish as it sits. Leaving the creamy penne coated with a nice greasy covering within a matter of 20-30min cooling off. Though still edible.

can you use something else but alchohol? And lol u overcooked that pasta...
You could use fruit juice. Don't worry about using alcohol, when you cook them, the alcohol evaporates off very quickly, and all that's left is the fruit essence and sweetness. Yes I overcooked the pasta.

and u dont have to use alchohol.....it probaly tastes the same...based on the recipe i think it's alfredo sauce.Alfredo sauce dosent have alchohol the alchohol is optional
How to cook penne pasta?? You mean how to destroy penne pasta, so overcooked that it looks like a plate of porridge.
Vermouth in the cream? Simply awful! I' m Italian and I have never seen doing pasta in this matter!
