  • Welcome to the first video in this 1956 Vendo 81 Coke Machine Restoration Series!
We start this series by opening up the 1956 Vendo 81 Machine for the first time in decades. We show a little on the teardown but unfortunately lost some of the footage. We will jump forward to some of the blocking and last I will show you my trick on removing the legs of these machines without breaking them. It saves me hours of work and after doing many machines is the best way I have found to do so.

Hey Marc, it's really neat to see you at work on another great, classic Coke machine. I'm glad you were able to get those screw pegs off of the bottom of it. If ANYBODY can do it, YOU CAN!!!! Thank you again for your update post the other day, to me. Another great tutorial video, Marc!!!! Thank you again, sir. Take care. Tom

These locks are easy to pick ! i use a Swiss Army Knive and use the saw blade. put it in the lock and wiggle it a bit and you can get it open without drilling.

You can actually get a replacement key if you look at the number on the lock that’s what I did

Lock mech had a screwdriver that messed up the slot! Drilling out not my favorite thing but no choice on that one!
