- I just had to show y'all this track. That one part is just so hard to play along with. I am still trying to get it perfect. HAHA! How do the Kirby games have such insane music??? I can't wait for Forgotten Lands!

@@BuddyPlot the problem isn't being fast, it's following it correctly, he knows megalovania super well, and its much simpler than wtv the heck this song is going for (sounds dope tho)
As a guy who doesn't know jack about drumming and instrumentation, I'd say trial and error.

All good Kirby characters have themes that fit their characters.
Marx's theme is like what you'd hear in a circus and in a castle, 2 places where you find jesters.
Void Termina's theme sounds religious, because he is a deity that is worshipped religiously.
The scores in Kirby games are usually very easy on the ears until that one boss theme where they just go with ham in the best possible way. Very Mega Man X worthy
Kirby music does a really good job of making it seem like Kirby is just a tiny part of a gigantic universe that he’s just completely oblivious to.
The whole “baby god destroyer” thing gets played up a lot as a joke, both by the games and the fans, but it’s genuinely a really cool concept. And every time you hear a song like this, or Sullied Grace, or Star-Conquering Traveler, you get reminded that the reality Kirby exists in is MUCH more beautiful, complex, and dangerous than you’d imagine from a first glance - much like Kirby himself.
I love Kirby so much. Can’t wait for Forgotten Land.

Kirby's that kind of game where on the surface it's one of the cutest most family friendly games ever to exist, then you have the lore which includes: Satan, Satan2, Satan0, Satan+, some girl failing a suicide, Kirby Satan.
Galacta Knight is so powerful, even The8BitDrummer himself is no match for his theme music.
I love how, in Return to Dreamland, Galacta Knight's circular laser attack lines up perfectly with the epic guitar riff at 0:30
Does that in the original as well, glad they kept the detail.

I love how you'd probably expect the most metal Nintendo song to be from Metroid, F-Zero or Zelda, maybe the Mario Galaxy games or Star Fox, but no. It's from Kirby.

only for a pink ball with a bunch of gusto to thoroughly thrash your butt six ways to Sunday.
The way I personally remember the beat around 0:35 is that there are two main patterns in there, the pattern with two slow beats into a faster one and the faster one on its own. If we call the two-beat pattern 1 and the raw faster pattern 2, the overall flow of that section is 1-1-2-2-1-2-2 and then two additional notes tacked onto the final rush.
I just gained a ton of appreciation for this track from seeing someone try to play it. I knew that part went hard but seeing Jerod try to play it, that part goes insane.

It never fails to amaze me how the music in Kirby games can go from happy and very light on the ears to BADASS ROCK’N ROLL playing while you fight the God of war and death.

My goodness it's my favorite piece of Kirby soundtrack....
God I love Galacta Knight so much. For one, he debuted in Super Star Ultra, my first Kirby game. And secondly he's such a badass. Like just LISTEN to that heavy metal man! I REALLY hope Morpho didn't straight up kill him, and he gets a future fight in 3D. That'd be the sickest thing EVER.
After 2 years, I am happy to say Jerod finally can play all of Galacta Knight's theme without trouble now.

Kirby's Return to Dream Land must be the best kirby, for the music, the story, and all the game in global. Its my personal favorite of the franchise.

("Izayoi" is the name of that boss in Japan - the western version instead calls them the "Nasty Gatekeeper")
i remember not liking that specific part of the theme (the one with the weird shifting time signature he understandably messes up on), but the more i learn about music theory the more i think its the sickest part of the song cuz it really does just go crazy

I don't like Galacta Knight's theme. It just sounds like noise to me. Frantic, chaotic noise. Good job on keeping up as with it as much as you did, though.
At first I thought the same but it has honestly grown on me over time.
