@@BuddyPlot the problem isn't being fast, it's following it correctly, he knows megalovania super well, and its much simpler than wtv the heck this song is going for (sounds dope tho)
All good Kirby characters have themes that fit their characters. Marx's theme is like what you'd hear in a circus and in a castle, 2 places where you find jesters. Void Termina's theme sounds religious, because he is a deity that is worshipped religiously.
The scores in Kirby games are usually very easy on the ears until that one boss theme where they just go with ham in the best possible way. Very Mega Man X worthy
Kirby music does a really good job of making it seem like Kirby is just a tiny part of a gigantic universe that he’s just completely oblivious to. The whole “baby god destroyer” thing gets played up a lot as a joke, both by the games and the fans, but it’s genuinely a really cool concept. And every time you hear a song like this, or Sullied Grace, or Star-Conquering Traveler, you get reminded that the reality Kirby exists in is MUCH more beautiful, complex, and dangerous than you’d imagine from a first glance - much like Kirby himself. I love Kirby so much. Can’t wait for Forgotten Land.
Kirby's that kind of game where on the surface it's one of the cutest most family friendly games ever to exist, then you have the lore which includes: Satan, Satan2, Satan0, Satan+, some girl failing a suicide, Kirby Satan.
The way I personally remember the beat around 0:35 is that there are two main patterns in there, the pattern with two slow beats into a faster one and the faster one on its own. If we call the two-beat pattern 1 and the raw faster pattern 2, the overall flow of that section is 1-1-2-2-1-2-2 and then two additional notes tacked onto the final rush.
I love how you'd probably expect the most metal Nintendo song to be from Metroid, F-Zero or Zelda, maybe the Mario Galaxy games or Star Fox, but no. It's from Kirby.
I just gained a ton of appreciation for this track from seeing someone try to play it. I knew that part went hard but seeing Jerod try to play it, that part goes insane.
imagine being a legendary hero of aeons long past who may have been responsible for subduing the Kirby equivalent of Cthulhu, sealed away for violent behavior & destructive power, & recently released to test the mettle of someone foolish enough to challenge you... only for a pink ball with a bunch of gusto to thoroughly thrash your butt six ways to Sunday.
God I love Galacta Knight so much. For one, he debuted in Super Star Ultra, my first Kirby game. And secondly he's such a badass. Like just LISTEN to that heavy metal man! I REALLY hope Morpho didn't straight up kill him, and he gets a future fight in 3D. That'd be the sickest thing EVER.
For an extremely ancient warrior that just gets revived JUST for a fight (at least in super star ultra) I can definitely see why the music goes so hard
Now the question is: is The Greatest Warrior in the Galaxy a remix of the True Arena battle theme, or is the True Arena battle theme a remix of The Greatest Warrior in the Galaxy?
Just picked this game up on Wii U and I never fully finished it when I used to play it with friends at their houses, definitely gonna have to pause the game at this part cuz THAT THEME HOOOOO
If you like that, you may also enjoy the theme of the secand boss of stage 7-1in Dynamite Headdy, "You're Izayoi". ("Izayoi" is the name of that boss in Japan - the western version instead calls them the "Nasty Gatekeeper")
i remember not liking that specific part of the theme (the one with the weird shifting time signature he understandably messes up on), but the more i learn about music theory the more i think its the sickest part of the song cuz it really does just go crazy
Kinda sadge they didn't suggested the Robobot version, that, I swear to God, the name is "The Greatest Warrior in the Galaxy Ever" (the original is just "The Greatest Warrior in the Galaxy")
I think I found the pattern for 0:37 and 1:20 long, long, short, short, long, short, short-outro. In total seven parts, the last short-outro part sounds too connected to be separate parts, it’s longer than a short part but shorter than a long part.
New viewer here. Just wondering, where did you get your channel picture? Just asking because It seems familliar to a certain side scrolling zombie game that was on the Xbox 360.
...Time for an unpopular opinion! I don't like Galacta Knight's theme. It just sounds like noise to me. Frantic, chaotic noise. Good job on keeping up as with it as much as you did, though.
I still can't play that crazy part... If anyone knows an easy way to count those measures... let me know LOL
@@ClaraDigifu not exactly easy to subdivide either given their nature
You played megalovania at 1.5x speed, and you're telling me you can't do this song right?
@@BuddyPlot the problem isn't being fast, it's following it correctly, he knows megalovania super well, and its much simpler than wtv the heck this song is going for (sounds dope tho)
As a guy who doesn't know jack about drumming and instrumentation, I'd say trial and error.
@@BuddyPlot megalovania is a very simple song rhythmically
“He may destroy a nearby planet or two, but such is life.” - Star Dream, describing Galactia Knight.
His theme fits him, what can I say.
Probably the Solar System in less than 5 mins or so
THAT FORESHADOWING THOUGH
"you're a planet, now let me harvest you for the metal in my theme"
“He may destroy a nearby drummer or two, but such is life.”

@@theillusionist1494 Not to be "that guy" but 'Star-Conquering Traveler'.
@@BudderCobi …my life has been a lie. Thank you for the correction lol
@@theillusionist1494 lmao it's just what comes up every time you look the song up, so not too hard to fix.

Galacta Knight is so powerful, even The8BitDrummer himself is no match for his theme music.
I love how, in Return to Dreamland, Galacta Knight's circular laser attack lines up perfectly with the epic guitar riff at 0:30
Does that in the original as well, glad they kept the detail.
Most ancient deities: Good ol’ angelic chorus and organs, nothing beats it
Galacta Knight:
Hold my Maximum Tomato
hold on, let him cook in the true arena
I would constantly run the Meta Knight mode just to hear this when I played over 10 years ago.
To be honest, same. One time I played it at school and all my friends were like 🤨🤨
his "DING DING DING DING" at 1:30 will live rent free in my head

Never would have imagined Kirby could go this hard!
Mmm, first time?
first time?
Oh, oh dear, you have NO idea how hard kirby music can go.
First time?
Second time?
Galacta Knight is such a cool rival boss fight for a rival character
I think that's the first time I've seen you trip up. XD I understand though, I can just hear how chaotic it is.
Kirby music is always fire
First time I've ever seen you mess up, Galacta theme does go crazy
“Kirby is a kids game”
You might want to put your seatbelt on.
Gonna have to make a wish to Nova to have a chance at nailing that part, goddamn
"That girl is so cute,i wonder what she's listening,a podcast maybe,or some music"
YOU'RE DAMN RIGHT IT DOES!
My goodness it's my favorite piece of Kirby soundtrack....
Fighting galacta knight was fitting with his theme.
After 2 years, I am happy to say Jerod finally can play all of Galacta Knight's theme without trouble now.
1:30 KING DEH! DEH! DEH!

definitively one of my fav tracks of any kirby games.
SAAAAAAAAME!!!
And people say pink isn't a many color.
absolutely love this dude
Looks like you may have met your match with that one, goodness!
Kirby's Return to Dream Land must be the best kirby, for the music, the story, and all the game in global. Its my personal favorite of the franchise.
whelp, now we need the redemption so we can hear the chaotic rhythm part enhanced
Indeed it does go quite hard.
Galactic Slayed Another Foe!
For an extremely ancient warrior that just gets revived JUST for a fight (at least in super star ultra) I can definitely see why the music goes so hard
Gosh, can't believe you hadn't done Galacta Knight before! Nice.
Awesome dude! Hope you do Dark Meta Knight's theme & Meta Knight's theme too!! 🎮✌🏻
Not Only is Galactic Knight the Greatest Warrior in the Galaxy, He's a Knight with the Greatest Theme in the Galaxy
How did you know to upload my favorite Kirby song on my birthday? That's awesome! 💖🎂
Galactica knight? More like METAL knight!
You'll have to come back to this when youve figured out that part! Show us your progress!!
so galacta knight is the one enemy you can't beat
121!
I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS MOMENT AND I'M SO GLAD IT'S HERE
I wish there was some sort of channel where I could watch this guys full streams.

me when i am gonna say one thing but i'm afraid lol
oh man i remember when i used to only listen to galacta knights theme all the time
He should do all the Kirby OSTs lol
Galacta Knight go BANG BANG BANG BANG
This boss theme goes hard.
They had no reason

Not even a small one.
And yet they did
This slaps

When Galacta knight theme is more metal than Metal Knight
Maybe try the superstar DS version? I think it's a bit more clear on how to play it?
Man jerod needs to play the remix of Arceus theme that is in Legends Arceus, that shit goes VERY hard
Not gonna lie but this slaps
The true boss that ended many KSSU true arena runs
FINALLY
