This is exactly a reaction from a man I was expecting. Laughing about the stupid sh*t happening in the video. It's about the contrast between the same behavior, but when men act that way society thinks it's applaudable, while if a woman acts that way it's not.

Fr I was lowkey annoyed at them just noticing the little (funny) things but not the big picture - which is largely in the lyrics. They just kept talking over the words and ignored the meaning of the song almost entirely. I guess it is to be expected from men.
I always like to watch men’s reactions to this video and they almost never fail to miss the point entirely lmao. They have a totally different experience with the world than we do.
FUN FACT: this is the first music video that Taylor herself directed! She wasn't just playing one in the end scene. Also during the scene when she is peeing on the wall - all of her previous album titles are on there! (Taylor Swift, Fearless, Speak Now, Red, 1989, Reputation)
And there was a sign 🚫🛴 i think because scooter braun got all those albums. And the wall says “if found please return to taylor swift”
How about that Karma (the missing album) is right there next to the "MISSING If found return to Taylor Swift" sign? 🤣

What I like about this video is that there are guys in certain sequences who clearly disagree with another man's actions, Taylor is trying to convey that she is not generalizing all of the males. In our culture, not all men tolerate double standards.
It's just a shame so much of the rest of the video completely ignores reality, to put men on top in situations where they definitely would not be in real life.

I realised today that if a woman did all the things they showed in the video, she would be sent to a mental institution.
The tennis thing is a great example - she was making a commentary on how people treat Serena Williams vs Roger Federer - the latter is known for throwing his tennis rackets around, yelling at judges, etc, and not being penalized. Serena did it shortly before this video came out (hence the inclusion) and was penalized by the referee for unbecoming conduct. 🙄
She was talking about the toxic men in the society only like Scooter Braun.

Did you notice when Taylor was doing her man business on the subway wall, there was graffiti on the wall and signs, there were her album names, and signs like no scooters it was an actual picture of a scooter (Scooter Braun is the one who bought her first 6 albums from her record label behind her back) another sign said missing if found return to Taylor Swift (her albums) and the karma (which is a midnights song) but a lot of people thought she was going to have an album called karma.
