One thing these young Irish need to learn is to keep their cool, this is just the start of the season. I know they’re young, but damn, thing will only get chippier from here - teams will watch and they will continue to get in your head, especially when they know you can’t handle it. Like, we’re already winning.. what was the point. Same went for the tech against Louisville last season; let your game speak for itself. One thing that could be our undoing come March is our inability to brush things off. Coach needs to address it ASAP before it gets out of hand.
Olivia Miles is an easy mark. Can't control herself. Easy for teams to get her to disqualify herself. They will do so and not try to hard to get it done.

Miles is a great basketball player. However there’s 4 other TEAMMATES she needs to consider. Last time I checked it takes a TEAM to win games and Championships. There is no “I” in TEAM!

Not passing on any responsibility as the ND player is 100% wrong regardless of circumstance but why call that ticky-tacky foul which actually wasn’t a foul even if you wanted to try and justify it to the grader/observer in this game.
Officials….game management is key in all 3 major sports (football, baseball, and basketball) and this was poor game management by the official(s).
Because they needed to calm things down. I think the call prevented unnecessary roughness had they been allowed to keep playing. Miles was pissed, she needed to be on the bench to calm down. The tech was 50/50 but hopefully she’ll learn to at ease moving forward. These are still “kids” they need to be taught some lessons imo
I think giving a T to the northwestern player for running her mouth before the inbound would have been a big step in that direction.

Miles has always had an attitude problem. By her response, it’ll never go away. It is what it is. She’s a fantastic player. But you aren’t too good on the bench.

Look, Weaver was provoking her. Even Weaver’s teammate came up to her- to Weaver, that is- and seemed to reprimand her for her behavior.
What was Weaver saying to Olivia? Well, we don’t know but it was something obnoxious, most likely.
I don’t say this to excuse Olivia’s reaction but let’s have some context here, please. And, by the way, rather than trash talk, Weaver and co. need to play a lot better so as not to be down by 30 points in then 3rd quarter.

Up 30 and this happens really. She got a technical cause she wouldn't shut up after she was warned. I'm ok with it get rid of the trouble maker. She seemed to be the problem the defender must have been getting in her head cause she was trying to play defense on her.
She is in no way a troublemaker that needs to be gotten rid of to suit the whims of haters. She didn't do anything wrong here at all. There's no way any male players getting kicked out of a game for the absolute nothing we see here.

@ Charles Taylor - First technical was earlier in the game during a free throw when arms got tangled up, leading to three ejections (only one of which was deserved), two intentionals, and a technical foul. The second technical was because she dared to speak. "You got something to say to me?" were the only words she uttered (to the Northwestern player, not the ref, to make it clear), and the ref tossed her as she was walking away. Ref clearly didn't think he was getting enough attention in the game.
