    Abolish the Canada Post Union.
    These people should not be rewarded for dragging other businesses and people into their temper tantrum.

      How about we fire some executives not bargaining in good faith and still collecting a paycheck? Believe me, these bureaucratic managers are no geniuses and certainty are not equipped to lead a company to profit with innovation and new ideas.

    • @abcdedfg8340

      Temper tantrum? I am neutral.
      But you call people wanting to be able to afford to pay their living costs and support a family like our middle class could before we decided to crush the middle class in the 1980s while the top 1 percent got richer a temper tantrum?
      If your middle class maybe see past the divide and conquer tactics used by the top 1 percent to gut our middle class. Because many professionals are even unable to afford families or houeses now, let alone rent their own place.
      Just my opinion.

    Canada Post is losing hundreds of millions of dollars every year. They literally cannot afford to pay their employees any more. It seems obvious that they need to do what every other retailer has done to stay afloat: significantly raise their postage and parcel shipping prices. People and businesses will pay more for necessities like groceries, gas, and (perhaps) postage. However, will a price increase encourage customers to go elsewhere? If that’s the case, are they actually providing us with something we actually need?

  • @DavidHalverson

    Back to Work Arbitration needs to be done by the Federal Government. Otherwise, dissolve the Crown Corporation as a means of balancing the budget for Canada by eliminating a company that doesn't want to keep costs down for Canadians and keep delivery of mail going across Canada. The strike is entering the 4th week (1 month). Does Canada really need this Crown Corporation.

    90% of the 50 000 new hires where in the public sector? This means that the private sector is not creating jobs and that the public sector is still growing. If that is a tendency, that is not good news as an economy cannot sustain itself based on public sector jobs. The private sector is needed to pay for those public sector jobs.

    • @kal8344
      @kal8344 4 дні тому

      Elements of the private sector were creating extremely low paying foreign worker jobs. Anyone who already lives here would know what is below minimum wage. Now that those people can't come in bc of a lack of housing, etc., those businesses have shut their doors.

    Apparently many urban Canadians don't know that Canada Post goes everywhere in Canada (remote and rural) where private companies won't go because delivering remote and rural doesn't earn a profit. What do the private companies do when they don't deliver to a location? They hand off the delivery to Canada Post. Now you know why it's vital to keep Canada Post.

The trouble makers there and not considerate of most affected are the officials. There are the people behind all the loses and trouble theajority is experiencing. These black people are a menace to the organization. The government should already step in and ask the entire members if they want their representation to be changed by officials who want the whole organization to improve and develop together. The current officials are selfish people while they just sit on their butts and enjoy the money of members doing the hard work. Shame on these officials. They are blood sucking lyches.

    00:59.. Private couriers freezing shipping.. really too bad small businesses have to suffer the Canada Post (CP) strike. However, once the strike is over -- probably before Dec 15 -- CP union and management have to sit down and find efficiencies to reduce costs. For example, isn't it true that postal workers who deliver mail door to door finish their walk in 4 hours but get paid for 8? What about China? They seem to be way more advanced than Canada and the US in so many areas. How do they deliver mail? Are they losing money?

A lot of private companies have been offering better than union benefits like unlimited paid time off, comprehensive insurance, wfh option, and flex time since 2009...
