Thanks man. Yeah I wasn't sure if it was a Herbert or a VH4. Cos going thru the collection of amps he uses it seems like he uses VH4s more. Thanks for letting me know
@@GaryHiebner That stood out to me as well, given the distinct face panel :) STL Website says it's a Herbert outright, so it's the downside of early access
Yeah I only figured it out after the video that it's indeed a Herbert emulation and not a VH4. He had some VH4s in his collection so I thought it was a VH4, but on closer look on the amp layout it definitely looks like a Herbert
I mean, yes, the plug-in sounded good, but why get this one over any of the others that sound as good? @Heavy Tones - One thing I'd really be interested in hearing you demo would be the Kristian Kohle Rainbows and Chainsaws IRs.
The problem is they're all getting so good! It's like you have to test them out and then see which tone works for the material you working on. Thanks for the suggestion on the IRs. I must say I have been avoiding the IR world cos that looks way more dangerous than the Amp Sim world. But don't worry I do have some videos in the pipeline covering some IRs. So stay tuned... .
@@GaryHiebner IRs are a black hole of financial suffering. That said, those Rainbow and Chainsaws IRs do sound especially good for the heavier stuff. I've been putting off getting them, but I really don't know how much longer I can hold out. ;)
Yeah thats the thing, the black hole of IRs. But yeah im finding a good few that want to use and will do a video on them soon. I like to think of it as a live rig situation. You wouldn't have all the speaker cabs you can run through before a gig. You would get accustomed to the gear you have and find how that works for you. So I'm trying to find a set of IRs that works and sift through and find an amp sim suite that also works in conjunction with those IRs. But you can imagine how hard it is to come to a decision on that with all the options we have available to us in the modern music making world :)

As a Deftones fan I'm always loving some jcm800... They all sound great!
Yeah man, I'm a huge JCM800 fan
Gary, the Diezel one looks like the Herbert! And if it has a mid-cut knob, then it’s definitely a Herbert.

Some great tones and riffs here. I think that Diezel is based on a Herbert.

I come here just to hear this guys accent.
do u have presets of ur settings
Ehm, you're showing two mikes on the cabs but the first is set to 100% so the other won't be heard...just sayin' :-)
Thanks, yeah I realized after doing the video that was only using one mic on the speaker. Thabks for pointing this out.
What software is it on drums? Sounds great!
Thanks, using GGD Invasion
