    Thanks for taking the time to check out my latest build. I have no plans of producing these for resale due to several factors but not limited to material availability, required testing and liability insurances, financial and time investment. Please remember all my videos are for entertainment purposes and could involve risk. Do not attempt anything seen or said on my videos. I've nearly dropped a compressor before and as I get older I could end up with a screwed up back so I definitely agree. It's not been used much but it's great to know I have it if I need it 👍👍

    You need to be using it NOW!
    Built an A frame version for scuttle holes and have thought about the ladder attachment. Your version is great for that and as you have it set the A frame would still be quite usable.
    I say use it more because I do commercial work only and while it seems stupid to use it for lighter stuff it is still very nice for the shoulders. Latching 2 jugs of gas on it, use the milwaukee packout crate with a strap on it to load out heavy service tools and parts. Torch set, nitro bottles, vac pump, 10 by 10 canopy.
    None of that is really hard pull on a rope but it is nice to double up on stuff and not be sore.
    Not setting it up on every job but in the 2 months I have had mine I have used it four times and will be using it this week on a comp change out.
    GOOD JOB SIR.

    Hi just a comment on the hook on crane part, on a crane you should always have a safety to prevent it from unhooking (any part like a moving gantry too) in the event of an accident it should not unhook or if a cable/belt snaps the shock load can make it "jump" and then it will un hook. Would suggest a simple pin OR chain welded on with a slot to hook into

    Getting this tested ad UL certified may be possible, probably expensive. Roofers have “Rope and Wheel” that hooks up to a strait ladder. Made by company RoofMaster and it’s available for purchase. I have seen people here on UA-cam roping a condenser with it.
    Your hoist is on another level though!

      @@HVACRSurvival no worries, as an addition, the plate for the ladder step, I would drill a hole through, then use a tractor implement hitch pin, with a good lynch pin, just as a safety for reasons we cant explain, "LIFE" sometimes things we cant think of catch us by surprise, & that would go under ladder rung, to keep it from ever being knocked upward to cause it to come loose. like i said, great design, I do plan to copy it for myself with scrap metal, I have several tons of scrap metal. not sure of anything else until I make it to see if I see anything else, but for now, just those 2 is all I see.

    For regular ladders that are available at places like Home Depot, 2/3 of the wholesale price is needed to cover the product liability aspects of the ladder, people regularly do amazing stupid things with ladders.

    You should try get a patent on that and see if you can sell your patent to a manufacturer that might mass-produce that. Nothing wrong with trying to make an honest buck.

    I"m looking for ideas to make the similar lift , the only problem is that I don't have a welder. how can I make a lift out of just unistrut and bolts?

    • @HVACRSurvival
      @HVACRSurvival  4 роки тому +1

      I've seen a few made out of different materials. If your wanting to use unistrut, I would look at the unistrut website for brackets they have available to make similar mounting designs to what I did.

      In this world everything is about risk. My luck something bad would happen and I get sued. That's why I put on my videos that there for entertainment only and there's a risk in doing whatever it is I do. I appreciate the kind words and I understand where you're coming from. I have seen about every company making these go out of business. My dad was a professional welder and he could have made these in his spare time but like I said my price would be probably close to what everyone else is charging to make it worth our wild. So as a consumer you're right back to where you started at paying $850-1k

    Dude, a lot of HVAC guys and shops would reasonably spend $1000 for that. That’s a 72.5% profit. Just saying.

      I know, but the issuance and liability is more money than what the orders would be. That's why most of the companies I got ideas from are no longer making them.
