I became a manager for this sport a year and some months ago. and wrestling has to be one of my favorite sports. There's so much athleticism needed that most people don't even realize. Most girls , for that matter, cannot even watch this without being bored. More people need to watch wrestling.
The best sport for young ladies; both athletic and out of shape, in my opinion, is wrestling. So.much that a young head strong woman can do in this sport. I've always wanted to see a girl win a boys wrestle state title on technique and skill, even if she's a little out strengthed. My
@ultramet91 Man wrestling is the best, im in the 9th grade i couldnt wrestle in 8th due to grades but this year i have been working SO hard. theres still hard work ahead but all i know is that i wanna wrestle badly i wanna be the best wrestler on the team i wanna make my coaches my parents my grandparents and most importantly myself proud and happy. im passionate about it and theres not a day i dont think about that.
@njjroberts yes it does help you fight someone in a bar. ground them and beat theyre ass. and also geirge st peirre is mainly a wrestler and is he exiting? yes
Yes, mma the sport that has had time to evolve for like 10 years. The techniques of wrestling have been developed for thousands of years which requires much more training to succeed
im 5'9 and wrestle at this weight, senior in HS. i cut down from 145 lbs to do this and nearly kill myself every weak to make weight but its worth it. I might wrestle at Rhode Island College next yr, D3 school. Can't wait to find out about it.
wow college wrestling is so much different from highschool they say fuck pinning the guy lets go balls out for 6 min and see which one of us comes out the victor gotta admit tho ride time rule kinda sucks that should only be used in case of a draw or something like that
He was a 125 as a senior in Indiana. That years finals are on UA-cam under a channel called "spladle" lol. Crazy how Indiana is a single division state. And Escobedo won it 4 times Damn.
A pretty easy example is that randy couture accomplished nearly everything in mma and was champion 4? times in the ufc yet never managed to make an olympic team for wrestling, let alone come anywhere close to medaling. Keep in mind that he entered mma right after coming back from serving in the military, yet had trained most of his life to make the olympics
escabedo should have gone for it at 5:05, could have put his left arm DEEP under Ness' right artm spun right in a downards fashion and pinned Ness right there. or escabedo should have gone with that underhook available and broke him down and drove for that half, then get inside his legs (haha almost like missionary position i know i know) and that would have been a pin right there.
@jthanlon63 Leg riding is too easy to get out of and can put the other guy in a bad situation I watched my teammate get double leg rided and when he shucked him forward it knocked the guy out
One of the friends I made at deviantart said she took reference on drawing the male body in general from Wrestling and stuff like this. And it's really cool, so I want to do the same.
The same way that Darion Calwell's headlock didnt work against Metcalf in the NCAA finals? The same way that Darion Caldwell's spladle didnt work against Metcalf? I was an average wrestler at best, I never claimed to be great so no need for name calling. My point is that, regardless of who is wrestling, if a move is there, its there. These guys arent somehow immune to the laws of physics.
No the thing is. Your saying your one armed lateral drop would be a better use but it really isnt. Jayson Ness' lateral drop was timed perfectly but angel escobedo saw it coming so im pretty sure angel would have seen your stupid overhook throw. Im saying that just because you prefer a different way of a move doesnt mean its better. Never did i say the headlock or spladle wouldn't work. you simply assumed that. but when do you see these calibur wrestlers get tossed like that? rarely.
@njjroberts if you want to know a bit more you should try doing the sport yourself. its a whole lot more different from watching it and calling it " a piece of shit" compared to actually participating in it. no respect

we had a wrestling camp last year with angel and it was amazing. Ive nvr seen him wrestle before other than this and wow. this is awsome
Damn, complete domination by Escobedo.
I was pullin for Angel the whole time but Ness's face after that lat drop attempt brings tears to my eyes
Jayson really was a good coach at jrob cant wait to see him win next yr

Really odd stall call on Ness at the end there, that's just a parallel ride.
angel a legend no cap
Escobedo is a beast
@kaliedoscopesharinga I feel the same way. I'm a senior this year and I've been working my ass off for a while now.
@njjroberts yes it does help you fight someone in a bar. ground them and beat theyre ass. and also geirge st peirre is mainly a wrestler and is he exiting? yes

I wrestle this weight class in High School and it's a tuff one but it's all in the hips always watch the hips

and one more thing. if that overhook throw was there than obviously the lat drop would be there. so its not 'easier' like you say.
If I remember correctly Escobedo wrestled 135 his senior year in high school he was cutting alot in college

Not sure why we should even argue they are obviously both incredibly tough sports to succeed in whereas most sports now have become easier
@larycanon That was a gutsy move. There was only a few seconds left. You have to go for broke.
I don't think Ness should have let him go so easily. And he was too desperate at the end.

Who did Escobedo lose to that year?
Aint Nobody beatin Escobedo anytime soon

I'm 5'8 and do the same thing man and I'm only a junior, i know exactly what you mean!

He shoulda used the one-arm lateral drop like I did if you click my channel here. Easier to force someone over with than the over-under
