I use the 6" coil on my Eqx 700 and slay coins at the beach. More accurate, better target separation and I dig about 60% less scoops to get the target. I just go a little slower and swing faster. The new update with continuous noise cancellation helps quiet any chatter.

Nice video, I think your finding the same thing I am, that there is a huge learning curve with the 700/900. But you did find some coinage and other stuff. Happy New Year and happy hunting!

Can you make a video explaining the configuration on the beach?, I just asked for a detector and it doesn’t responds well on the beach. I don't know if it's defective or I can't configure it, please or can you explain it to me by message? The detector is the same equinox 700
From What I understand is I just use Beach 1 for sand and wet flats. If you are going to use beach 2 I think that is for when you submerge the coil in the salt sea. I keep everything at factory settings. If you are getting chatter lower the sensitivity to around 18 maybe 20. I never run it at full sensitivity. other then that I am not sure what behavior your detector is doing,
how much difference do you notice REALLY Dan.. other then the numbers being completely different.. can you say its worth paying another $700 and leaving our beloved 600 behind?
Too Early To say. as I only had 3 hours using it. I wish It was spring so I could hit the Grass. parks, Sport fields. You know give it more of a run. And Honestly I myself would not be using this Detector if I did not win it. I know I was not looking into buying a new detector. Wish I could answer your Question. I am going to hit the beach again today. Thanks For Commenting and Do not rush into buying it right away. If I remember the 600 gave you Emi problems in some of the places you took it too. I still need to check that part out here. Still need to figure out and use more modes then Beach.. Much Love Brother. Peace
not really its the same machine internally just a different number scale. I am more used to it as all machines use the same scale basically minelab topping out with the old scale they used that topped out at like 44 or whatever it was was the outlier.
OH no my swing speed was too fast.. Oppps. I was just checking out a beach that really did not have much for targets on unless I wanted to spend 10hrs and maybe I would have hit a few good targets. That detector seems to do well in the wet sand!
First run in the wet with it. Seems ok. I am hoping to get out and swing it more before Spring. Happy New Year

FIrst minelab machine I had was a Sovereign GT when it was new...
Hope your going to like the new machine just give yourself some time with it.
