Man, what a trashy beach! Being originally from NorCal it hurts me to see such disrespect for a beautiful beach (especially leaving glass to break and cut some unsuspecting kid). You’d almost think they don’t put trash cans out there!
As for the dig, I’m thinking it’s a pull-tab.

Hello Jim. That is a nice bag from CKG! I love how you can get everything in and outside of the bag on. That's cool how the pole fits through outside of the CKG Bag. Then al the compartments to put your findings at the beach, a snack, bottled water, change of clothes, wallet, cell phone and more. There's so much room and neat little pouches to put things in. HI Jim, After my first Indian head, I have been collecting them, do you have a crusty 1909-s ? Most I find around here are 1900-1907
1909-s, I will look at my Indian head pennies and see what I have. I will let you know if I do!
I called the pull tab and wheat penny. With the 900 you would have known the difference on the pull tab. I love the 900 over the 800. Got my first SLQ with it.

I use the Nox 800, so not familiar with the Nox 900 but I would dig it! According to your videos and watching you use the 900 it maybe a penny. It sounds like 2 targets so it could also be a pull tab...

Yes I would dig it. I guessing a penny. It’s helpful for you to say which detector your using as there’s a big difference in VDIs between 800 and 900. I think that was the 800 but not sure.

We got a lot of rain yesterday then we got dumped on today while detecting the beach. I had to stand under the life guard tower as I was not prepared for rain. I know the sun will be shinning soon. Thank You 👍

Well Jim when I hit on those numbers here in South Florida I find most of the times it ends up being aluminum punch outs that fall out of umbrella or beach chairs but I do try to remove them because they are a waste of my time and anyone else who might run across it if it left behind.This is because I have found rings in that number as well and that is my guess a ring gold, platinum, and silver are possible type of metal that it could be made of. At that number range.

Is it me or were any of you surprised whenJim pulled out a pin pointer and USED it? He was so negative before about them
I have always used a pin pointer when detecting in soil but I do not use one on the beach not because I am negative about them as I always say I think everyone should use one. My issue is simple, I grew up at the time where beach detectorists do not use pin pointers.

I just ordered my first CKG sand scoop, had another brand that didn't last very long in the wet sand
Remember to dig smoothly in the thick clay like wet sand especially using any carbon fiber. Good Luck hope you dig a lot of good stuff!

i seen the same happen on a local beach in my area with the garbage. i watched them pour garbage out on the ground, waited for them to get done, and yelled at them to put it in a can , they actually picked it up and put it in the garbage can! the c.u.d.i. sounds like a fishing weight.

Hey Jim, what do you do with all the rings and things you find? Do you make any money off of this hobby?
Like any hobby it has it's ups and downs. Precious metals go into safety deposit box for either return or retirement fund and it takes about 4 years to fill a 5 gallon bucked with clad coins and I buy a new car usually. But I live near the beach and I know where, when and why to hunt a beach. Most everyone I know who uses their detector pay it off in just a few weeks of detecting as it only takes one nice find to do so.

Hock ligament ruptured while playing with my grandson, she then developed a sore on the bottom of her leg that got infected with Dog form of mersa. Infection is gone, wound is still open and orthopedic vet will not operate until wound is healed. She want stay off of it and refuses to slow down. She acts as nothing is wrong she just wants to play. Ugh! that is a fantastic answer, Thank you 🤙
