- Learn how to use auto correct and predictive typing on iPhone. With the iOS 17 software update, autocorrect was greatly improved, and predicitive typing now exists, so you can tap the space bar, or swipe to add the predicted text.

how do i turn it off?
go to settings > general > toggle predictive off
Then I’ll turn off all predictions
I don't even have the "Predictive" Bar like in the Video, only "Predictive Text" I hate my life

I want to have the word suggestion bar but not where it replaces my text. And i cant turn it off. Either i turn it off but the suggestion bar disappears as well of i have both. Its only on the new iPhones its so stupid wallah

It doesn’t work properly with certain apps like Facebook. Keeps filling in the word but leaving the extra letters. At the end.
Example:
This is a test st.

Surprised issues like this persist for weeks. Facebook is the only app I have issues with this i figured they would’ve addressed it already

Apple literally ruined predictions… It was FINE by just predicting the words at the top, now the predictions screws with you. I don’t know it is a bug because is not working properly on Pages. When I use the prediction and I want to put a punctuation next to the predictive word, the word gets deleted completely. Is utterly ridiculous…
i tried to call someone a “head ass” & they predicted “head assistant”.. unbelievable

Yeah, I need to turn this shit off I can’t even type right it’s screwing up every message I type.
horrendous !!! i had to change keyboards. i use 3 languages with ios 16 handled perfectly well. iOS is now making suggestions for words that don't exist in any of the 3. it autocorrected something to dopar which according to google is hindi for afternoon. my 3 languages are english, spanish, and catalan so hindi is just a lil bit off.
This is working on all devices or only iPhone 12 and later?

it’s annoying that i need to use two hands to type/modify text. Upgraded from XS to 15 and i do miss the 3D touch where i could modify text & highlighting it with only one hand
How the hell do you disable this without disabling the predictions on the keyboard? It's actually so fucking annoying
Noone notice that on keyboard now you don't have capital letters at all times? My fav feature since first iphone, fes ios's in between didn't have 16haf and now again it doesn't have capital letters on kboard at all times

to turn if off, go to setting , then general , then keyboard and then turn off predictive under English section

It’s just sometimes i also love having the predictive shortcut for emojis
this ruined texting cause it pops up words i dont wanna say and it wont let me backspace if i mess up when its got the word predicted

I phucking HATE the iPhone prediction. I’ve lost count how many times I’ve had to go back and re type what was correct in the first place. Fcuking infuriating!!!! 🤬
