- Now that the road trip is over for the time being and the caravan is sold, while we wait for our new caravan build, we take a break and head overseas to Bali and enjoy some rest and relaxation. Little did we know the events that were about to take place on day one of our holiday on the island. We saw things we will never unseen. This is Part One.

Balinese have such an interesting culture. We have been many times and each time has been different. The first time I went, we also witnessed a funeral and had Balinese family sitting with us and explained every moment - the coffin arrived in a tower like structure, the more tiers on the structure the more important that person was in their community, they spun around lots in different directions to confuse the spirit so it didn’t come back. Best massage I have had is in Bali, hot stone massage. We are always respectful in Bali and find that it’s reciprocated back. I’m glad you guys had a wonderful break.
They certainly have a kind wonderful culture. We love their happiness. It is infectious 😍. And you're right, showing respect goes a long way. Thanks for sharing your Bali experience 🙏

Loved the video.
I am an Ex-travel agent and still love seeing from a guests perspective hotels and facilities, attitude of staff etc.. the professional information we were given was never a true reglection on standards. Although ive never been to Bali. Almost went twice but had to pull out/trip cancelled a few times for different reasons (volcanos, civil unrest, family member ended up in hospital etc)
Bali or Fiji have been on my bucket list, maybe one day.
As for the cremation and life celebration, as Troy stated this is their custom, i really like this sort of send off. Its bright, its happy. I say happy in the way that instead ot mourning you are happy that you knew them. Words arent coming out right today.
Death isnt a taboo subject like it is in some cultures, its like being born, getting married, its just a known part of life. The unknown part is when it happens.

Just stayed at the same resort loved it , don’t eat at tepi sawah restaurant just out the front to the right wife spent 5 days in hospital after eating there got home today .

Yep no size limits on fish there thats why you only catch small ones they don't get a chance to grow big , I like the out riggers on a narrow boat keeps it stable 😊

That's exactly my point. you're paying $100 for a 1-hour massage here. not even doctors get paid that per hr. So yep, we're getting screwed

I get that they are in public but it’s their country and I think it’s very rude that you filmed any of this. No wonder they get upset with Australians! Where’s the respect for their culture in filming it?
We spoke with the locals and they were very happy for us to film. l wouldn't say that's very rude. As you can also see in the video, everyone films to celebrate their lives.
LMFAO why would anyone need to see the bathroom on a holiday video. Having been there over 50 times you are staying on whats now considered the shtty part of Bali , Kuta Beach compares to probably our worst beaches in AUS, Travel just 20 mins to the East of you SANUR and it is Beautiful, beaches are better, food etc . Look after Mr Bean we eagerly await more Caravan Vids
