- Another machine that ate quite a lot of my pocket money: Cruis'n USA was standing in the local pool pub. And I had to pass that one very often on my way home from school! ;)
The graphically appealing virtual tour of the US presents itself very fast, as you would expect from Midway it's peppered with plenty of funny gags and it plays just great! It was also the first arcade game I played where you could choose the music during the race.
Played with MameUI64, recorded with PlayClaw. 5
By the way: I'd recommend a steering wheel to play, a gamepad is also good, but might react a little sensitive.
You're bringing back the memories man! I played this game a lot in the arcade. they had some special "Tricks" you did with the steering wheel to unlock the school bus and many other hidden cars. I could only figure out the bus....but it was awesome!
This was the forza Motorsport and horizon of the day! I remember this game well even though I saw it in its later years as a young kid, one of the many reasons I fell in love with cars was this game series!
Awesome graphics for the time.
The best and most advanced graphics relative to its epoch of all time.
im honestly impressed now in 2019, it looks better than most PS1 / PS2 racing games.
@@ZeranZeran Don't be exaggerated, mostly of the PS1 and PS2 have better graphics than Cruin's USA. Cruis'n USA have the same basic graphics quality of a early 3D era game like Road Rash and The Need for Speed for 3DO.
With all the hyper realistic racers of today I really do miss these great arcade racers of yesteryear. Thanks for the video.
Brought back some many memories wildwood nj days
If the N64 had this Quality like the arcade, Nintendo had made the best Console in History.
used to love playing this game on n64 and in the arcades, even went out of my way to unlock the bill clinton ending back then
Almost always used the Jeep on this in the arcades.
Tried the bus once. That was fun...
Still fun to play in the arcades!
wow, i remember being astounded by the quality of this game when i was a kid. lol it's shocking to see who well it's erm... not held up over time. still great memories, and i'm thankful for those experiences!
wow i've grow up with this game! nice gameplay dude!!!
Thank you! :)
At 4:07, the computer cars crash into each other. That always happens at the beginning of San Francisco, even in the N64 version.
I never noticed it happens all the time, but I'm always thankful for every opponent crashing and giving me some advantage. :)
Always noticed that too!!
The sound is way better than the n64 version.
hells yea tell me about it
What isn't?
The music is so good, yet you can barely hear it. A shame, really.
i kno right
N I N T E N D O U L T R A 6 4
But is N I N T E N D O 6 4
@Poble But is in your home I N 1 9 9 6
I want all these soundtracks 😢
Search on UA-cam, there is a lot of playlists with the songs.
Loved this game! Who ever used to drive that a green nova would be drunker than hell. Would cross over 3 lanes just to hit me head on! 😂
Yeah there was always that bastard car the cpu would send after you like a homing missle if you were doing too well.
Hey, don't shit on the Nova SS! That was a bad ass car that was heavily underrated, 1EVILZ06.
Maan the nostalgia is immense
Currently restoring a sit down arcade version. should be almost like new when done. even got the metal sandblasted to be new like.
Coming to your Home in 1995 only on Nintendo Ultra 64
NFS The Run early alpha
Yes
Na minha opinião foi um dos melhores jogos de corrida que ja joguei. Bom de +
Whattttt, this sounds and music's are good.
I always the Chicago part was stupid hard.
Hardly cruis’n when you are doing barrel rolls, flips, smashing into cars and buildings at speeds of over 100mph. Awesome sound track though
cruis’n USA arcade is better the n64 version
Yes, it has much more powerful hardware, none the less the N64 is a good conversion imho, I really enjoyed it on the Wii Virtual Console.
I played both the Arcade version and the N64 version
@@YesterPlay Agreed and when you hook up an N64 race wheel the N64 version become more playable. I am still impressed with the N64 port especially considering the price difference of the hardware of the arcade vs the N64.
Obvious post is obvious
The arrangement of the music is debatable though between the versions, the n64 had some better versions.
I like the more modern one but its nice to see the 1900 kind the new one was like in 2000
Which of the newer ones do you mean? The one that came out last year in teh arcades or the one that came out for the Wii in 2007?
Ok there is a mexican food place ⛤⛤⛤⛤⛤ and they have it it was made in 2000 but only solf 9 copys
"Cruis'n Exotica" perhaps? It came out in the arcades 1999 and 2000 on the N64, so that would almost fit your description, But I'm pretty sure they sold more than 9 cabinets.
I guess
@@YesterPlay Oh please can you do Cousin Exotica next in your next video.
Cuando aun creía en nintendo y sus mentiras,la versión de arcade es muy superior al del n-64. Lo disfrute mucho en su tiempo. Gran juego sin duda
Yo lo conoci a mis 3 años en 2009 y decia en mi mente

Masterpiece
Sky is blue, without chemtrails....1994
That is just a skybox, chemtrails existed in the 90s.
I loved this game when I was I kid I
Be nice if nintendo ported the arcade version to their home console.
They already did >20 years ago, it came out for Nintendo 64.
I mean the arcade version with the better graphics and the real music.
@@Maikeru722 The Nintendo 64 had limitations with the catdrige with small storage.
Did you ever try the newest ARCADE (yes, you read me right) entry into the Cruis'N series in Cruis'N Blast, YesterPlay 80?
I would love to check the game out some day, so far I've seen only videos of it here on UA-cam. But since there are no more arcades here in Germany and almost no arcade cabs in the bars and pubs around, I doubt I'll get the opportunity soon. :(
Gracias..!
How do you find the hidden staff credits during the attract mode?
Coast to coast records. Only pride is a crash _ understood on kaaiak
Olá, tenho uma pergunta
qual botão de controle eu
Eu pressiono para usar esses 3
especial que o jogo me oferece?

I'M WITH HER!
The cigar is some good unintentional commentary
still better than nfs payback
This game is fucking everywhere
Pyoro not no more, nintendo started claiming all of them. Apparently an actual 64 was inside the cabinet
David Esparza Is it exclusive to this game? I have seen many "Cruisin' Exotica" cabinets too.
What? Where did you get that from? The arcade version of Cruis'n USA was released almost two years before the N64 even came out and it runs on an arcade mainboard from Midway (called Midway V Unit), not on a real N64.
Indiana is the same as Iowa except its reversed!!!
Really?! I never noticed that, though of course I noticed the obvious similarity.
Is it not though ?
How do you make this game run so smooth? On my AMD-FX 6300 computer with 16 GB RAM, it runs painfully slow & stutters like crazy (even when using frameskipping), and I'm using MAME 0.165. Any clues why it's so slow on my machine? Is there a special setting in MAME to make it run faster, or do you have to overclock MAME somehow? Thanks for any info on this!
I'm using MAMEUI64 for my games, but I didn't set anything out of the ordinary for Cruisin' USA. I could even make the game run too fast by disabling "Throttle" in the display options. :) Why don't you give that one a try: www.mameui.info
And of course, make sure yout drivers are all installed correctly and that you use the newest one.
I used to have this games back in 2007 i didn't got it when it came out I used to play it everyday up to 1999 than I sold my Nintendo 64 and got me a PlayStation 1 good old memories 👍😎
How come when you try to select a track it just scrolls all over the place the slightest move on my gamepad either left or right send it all over? What's your secret?
A very gentle thumb. And I lowered the sensitivity in the analog control settings for the game. ;)
25:53 😂😂😂. In real life 😢😢😢
But toooooo bad the N64 didn’t arrive. In1995 and it was no longer called nintendo ultra 64 ,because that’s just a cooler name, also the clock speed was hefty downgraded from 400mhz to just 93mhz, just imagine if nintendo did met their promise to release it in 1995 despite with limited launch games alongside it, it would,ve still being an serious competitor against the psx,but since the N64 just turned out to be everything but an ultra 64, it sadly ended up having an kiddy image wich is soo sad.
Yeah i know the name ultra was used by konami and they downgraded the hardware due cost reasons but still it’s soo sad, in my oppinion atleast.
4:26!
Why is it generally only Europeans are doing MAME?

29:08!
Are you alright is crashing?
25:53 🤣🤣
16:10!
where do you download cruisn usa I have the trilogy on N64 but arcade was always better
Just google for it, you will find many sites.
at 0:16 we're hearing the name for the next nintendo system after the short lifespan of the virtual boy & primarily the Super Nintendo before they dropped the word ultra like it's a trailer in an arcade machine.
Oh ah ohhh ahaahaha
Is it just slow emulation of does the guy talking about the ultra 64 sound drunk
That's actually how he sounded, if my memory still serves me well.
YesterPlay 80 ok
Thanks!
Nah he sounds a bit like Jim Cummings a bit…
I'm using MAMEUI64 v. 169 for this. The car tends to veer to the right, right at the beginning of the race, and anytime I steer to the right it turns much harder than when I turn to the left. How did you calibrate the controls for this?
You can calibrate the controls in the service menu, just press F2 when the game has loaded and choose the corresponding option. But before doing this, I would turn down the sensitivity for the analog stick down to no more than 5, because the analog sticks have a much smaller steering range than the wheels in the arcade machines.
Thanks, it took me a while to figure out the way to move up and down among the options in the F2 menu (the dash/underscore key and plus/equals key). It's so weird that the game would make me veer to the right so easily. Now I have to adjust the Analog sensitivity. What a pain in the ass! Thanks very much for the help.
No problem. And the pain is worth it! ;)
Yeah, the game is excellent!YesterPlay 80
Steering sensitvity didn't do anything either below or above 5.
22:16 23:17 brutality?
Cara muito ruim...terminei com 3 fichas, perdi em bevery hills, indiana e Chicago
Stop! Now!
love the fuckin intro wish the shitty games now of days would do that
If only "Crusin Blast" could have been more like this based on its source material. And not another F&F garbage. Just saying if only and not mention more maps and cars too.
This a joke post?
What are you talking about? Cruin's Blast doens't have nothing similar to Fast and Furious, still have the same essence.
Stop! Screaming!
Must advise to never actually race a real car please.
The N64 version was better
Enduro is 1000x better than this shit
You comment doens't make sense.
