those exchanges (here and in the other related clips) between Richard and Matt are so fantastic, it is steaming off professionalism, and both so likable persons. THANK YOU!
The race software does display both boats, each boat with both boundary polygons. Also the course boundaries, start box, marks and associated circles. And notional laylines. It seems it's not quite as reliable as the umpires' app, though. That needs to be remedied for next time, for sure.
First set up race course boundaries where good for spectator boats. Enough space to move sideways and lenght shortening course without all yachts must move. .
Umpires like pre start Luna Rossa against Kiwis.... they was seen that's kiwis a seconds moved away to give space and LR straight sailing further.... only giving a sighn be willing to prevent a crash is showing umpires they not willing pressing another for a penalty!
Ben was doing same at pre start against alinghi - but most whining if he getting his own 😂 Ineos was biggest crying press the button at this AC. Ineos was lucky getting into AC 🤷♀️ then Luna rossa having to many broken and wrong weather to winning. Ineos strategic yacht was good to developing to a point and nothing further? Kiwis planed from beginning that's developing Taihoro further mutch more fir different weather and seas?
Thanks for Empire rules and boarders triangle.... Umpires was great at all regattas and in Barcelona. Without this tech all would working also but with talking and blaming 💁♂️. Good umpires are sailors for decades and know data show minds of acting on yachts what when they steering. Togheter with pictures and comms they see totally what crew want doing.
The Umpire's Where exceptional 🌎 âsh'ent'm's proof four retiring from racing young 🚀 I was Lik'a what the hell! (being called out in'na debrief) yeah, way to technical ❤ I smile 😊 hey, your still alive? ☮️
How the Umpires rigged the races with naked pro Australasian bias....Yawn. If you re watch the races carefully it becomes obvious. To many races were run in marginal conditions in a class that is hopelessly limited in light air. Unless you have the defenders advantage and a biased director with a sketchy reputation. As a result the Cups continued reputation for bending, waving and abuse of the rules has done further damage. The actual cup races were a travesty. Boring and self evidently fixed.
@joschmoyo4532: LOL, what are you smoking ? have you ever seen a 35 Ton lead mine monohull in under 7 knots of wind it redefines "Limited in Light Air". Viewing figures for AC 36 were 300% up on Bermuda and Dalton commented thay have exceeded AC 36 figures by quite a bit for AC 37 the Americas cup goes from strength to strength.
Such calm and informative information...... And he's always right.
