Exactly. Bayliner is a compromise. They are fine for what they offer. A good boat at a great value. Boats live a rough life. For me, cheaper boats are more fun. You worry less.
sorry , but there is no way that was done at the factory can you supply proof that you know this was done at a bayliner factory? besides that you think it is the same sealant used in the boat by them
He's right. I have the same boat, and my tank is secured the same way. However, to be fair, the boat is 17 years old and it's never leaked so it has worked (knocks on wood, of which there is plenty:-))
Are you certain Bayliner did that. I’m not saying their build the best quality boats, but i highly doubt that would’ve approved by an engineer, CEO or the Coast Guard. How old is that boat? It looks completely rigged up by an unskilled owner at some point. SHOCKING. Bayliner is a cost leader. It shows in some details. But most can be rectified by a picky owner, like myself. But the bones are generally strong. And the motor is obviously not made by Bayliner. I hope Bayliner has not building boats like that.
Its absolutely a bayliner install. The screws are all sealed with the same epoxi used to bond other fixtures in the boat. The only way to install this tank is to do it prior to top shell being bonded to the lower hull.
Now show us how to remove the tank for repair
Upsetting what a mess
Horrible.... vibrations will eventually stress crack that tank
I have this boat. 17 years and no leaks from the fuel tank. Not saying it's a good design, but it's obviously worked well enough.
Who would buy a bay liner and expect high quality there cheaper for a reason. Need a high quality boat get ready to pay 40 to 50 % more.

I stand corrected
