I have the same truck with the board, I put U-botes in my board and use tied straps for generator the pressure washer in a vacuum, water tank.
Forget that strap bro, get a 36x30 rubber floor Matt at Home Depot and rest your tank on it, I’ve had it like that since the start and it’s never slid on me. No strap whatsoever.

I like the 4.3 v6 plenty of power and good mpg. I would get 18-24

I just used some self tapping screws.

In this setup I used a 110 gallon tank. I purchased this through a local AG supply store.

Andy, great video man. I’m curious how long you can let that water stay in the tank without yellowing and getting nasty. I’m waffling on tank size because of this
I haven’t had any issues with it. I think as long as you are running through the water it shouldn’t be a big deal.
I actually decided to black my water tank out with spray paint to prevent Algea growing which is possible. Even with a bed cover, since you have to sometimes open it up while working! But I also have DI water to use in my tank.

@@tonysvisuals yep, my tank is black now. To prevent Algea from growing with Sun exposure. You want that water 100% clean.
How many gallons is the tank and how many washes can u do
We put 110 gallon Tank and are able to use about 100 of those gallons. On my maintenance day we can get through six vehicles if we are really being careful with how much water we use.

It’s 1/4 plywood.

Do you have to run your pressure washer off the 30amp receptacle on your generator?
No I Plug it into the 20amp Plug. It pulls 18.5 at max
Andy's Auto Care Plus gotcha. I’m having an issue with my new pressure washer tripping the GFI on my generator on the 20amp plugs but I’m lost at the fact of why because my old pressure washer pulled 13 amps and worked just fine and this was pulls the same 13 amps but pops the GFI after starting the pressure washer
That doesn’t sound right something isn’t right somewhere. Sorry to hear that

Water tank was from a local AG supply store. The bottle holder was through Amazon.

You don’t need a water pump. You go a more simple route and have it gravity fed. Your tank on top of your truck and put your pressure washer on the floor. It will work just as fine.
You need a diaphragm pump.

Not at the moment. I pretty much was able to use everything in one way or another.
That’s good tho. Since we live in Oregon, I follow a lot of your videos. I’m part time doing mobile jobs out of my ford E250, have you ever thought about training someone ? As in I’m looking to practice paint correction. I live in a smaller town where detail shops don’t like competitors. Just thought I would ask man! Always looking to learn from the pros!
@@ericbarrera6806 Personally, I learned how to fix paint and clear coat scratches by fixing up my own car. Even if your car isn’t damaged, it’s a great way to learn to wet sand and refinish.

I have a very good locking bed cover and locking tailgate plus my truck gets stored in my shop and has a alarm.
