The albie fishing continues to be outstanding in eastern Long Island Sound. 20-30 fish days are the norm. Most fish are being caught on tins and soft plastics.
This was filmed in the Sluiceway, straight south out of Niantic. They don't usually go any further west than Old Saybrook. We usually see them show in the first week of September...
Hi Anderson Guide Services, I was wondering if you do fly fishing for Albies and Striped Bass or Bluefish in general. I am a spin and fly fisherman and I have seen your website but I really want to catch an Albie on a fly rod using a surf candy or something but I live in Manhasset bay and we do not get albies that deep into the Sound. Bsuth72- Albies do not taste good I wouldn't try them I think their to oily.

@FishOnFishing
Hell yeah! It should stay good for a few more weeks unless we get a storm that blows all the bait out...
Nice but I thought lou would be laughing more with the hot action. Did he hook any birds? lol

Zach, it was on Wednesday...
All of my rods are Daiwa Coastal 7' and 7'6" rods... They retail between $80 and $90.
What town are you fishing in? Can they be caught in Clinton CT? Plus, what time of year are they up here? I like your video!
how big was your boat? because If I had a small dinghy about 16 feet, would that be ok in the LI sound? or is the water to rough for that?
