@@thepoisonouspotato3631 Peña has a worse BA, OBP, SLG%, and OPS. Not to mention he has less home runs and RBI’s. Julio has been better in every way this year.
this game is better with him being a part of it it's an unbelievable sight, to see him make his dreams come true not only playing in the MLB but doing so as a Seattle Mariner
My only gripe with this video is that there aren't enough clips of him flashing his speed on the basepaths and in center. He's made some pretty great plays in center, and gone first to third/first to home quite a few times already.
Did he get 2 Rookie of the Month in a row, selected to the All-Star Game, and had multi 30 plus home runs in two of the home run derby rounds? His manager is Dusty Baker so why didn't Dusty select him for the All-Star Game?

Hold your horses man. You really cant predict a players future until their second year imo. The league will adjust, and the great hitters will be able to adjust back. The ones that cant fade away or are just average. We will see!!
This kid is not flying under the radar. His name is out there and the league is already trying to adjust and he keeps producing. He’s here to stay and will only get better.
I would like to note that this kid had so much hype around him before the season started that pitchers were mostly giving him breaking balls and umpires were hosing him with outside of the zone strikes and he still continues to push through all that adversity.
I like it it's always exciting as a Fan/a Franchise/a Team or a Player when you have a young Rookie like this that is on his way up and rising its time to start winning now after the trade for Castillo and trading away some of our best prospects for Castillo they better make the playoffs this year you cant trade Big Prospects and not make the playoffs it's not an option.
No offense to Alcantara, but as a M’s fan, Julio destroying him is most likely why I didn’t realize he was pitching so well this year. His numbers are amazing overall when you look it up.
seriously though, umpires always do that to top prospects when they arrive, it's like they all just agree on humiliating anyone they deem green and cutting them down to size it was the same thing with Wander Franco, which is ridiculous when you consider how well he can see the strike zone.
Great video. It be nice to have some defense and base running clips though. There were a few hits that weren’t highlights, and they could add defense/base running in those spots. Just an idea for editors😁
despite a staggering amount of competition for the honors it's amazing how many of them that Julio;s been able to stave off he's made such an impact that everyone's on a first name basis with him, sort like the NBA is with LeBron
I love Jeremy JalaPeña for my Stros, how he filled Correa's shoes so well so fast and I so look forward to seeing him as a Stro. But unless he reaches big numbers fast J-Rod has ROTY in the bag.
@@wildboar1911A1 Yeah dude that's what I'm saying. I'm ok accepting that, but Jeremy's gonna be a force for my Stros going forward, but I'm looking forward to see how well he does in the playoffs, because that's where Correa usually shined so that's another set of shoes to fill. But we get to see J-Rod and JalaPeña on the rise from here on out!
Something’s wrong with Seattle, 27-yrs since the M’s were even close to a championship, during the Griffey era. When will they learn to run a successful business again ? Starting with hanging on to a clearly legitimate franchise player, followed by not consistently trading away young or already proven talent who, soon after leaving, become more productive with other teams. Especially when most players do not want to spend their careers in Seattle.
