Give the coach a lot of credit for:
    1. Throwing those pitches exactly where the catcher was setting up (where Julio wants it)
    2. His rhythm pitching was excellent, if not perfect. It allowed for JRod and himself to keep their energy throughout the round, where some pitchers try and force the ball a little too fast and that throws off the batters balance and takes away energy.
Well done Julio, I hope this is performance can jumpstart your second half this year and get you back to the high level of play we saw last year and know you are capable of performing at.

Damn you don’t even get to admire the homers and the person going first is at such a disadvantage

What’s crazy is when Mark McGuire hit 13 homeruns in 1999 derby at Fenway, we all thought that was the peak!!! 41 homeruns smh, this is just video game numbers!!

Completely different systems, those 2 numbers aren't comparable

@@SirTylerGolf you’re right, the new system is even harder, the old system you can take as many pitches as you want, until you find a good pitch to swing at. This new system you have to take as many cuts as possible because it’s on a clock, Which makes this even more impressive!

@@theoldbk5419 well you can't just say flat out that one is harder than the other, you'd have to extensively look at the numbers to determine anything. It's visibly easier to hit 10 home runs in today's system, but it's obviously easier to hit 100 home runs in the old system, because it's impossible to even get 100 pitches in the 4 minutes today

Still blows my mind that on that same field guys were hitting softballs farther than this during the softball "Long Ball" event.

Interesting feat. I literally thought to myself when they rolled the lineup out *why is Julio Rodriguez here he barely hits dingers* (not that he isn't an excellent player, he just isn't known for HR)

Wish we could have admired a fourth of them (4 home runs left the field by the time you read this) ……
