Malcom shot him in the gut and he pleaded with God to spare Chloe's life with his dying breath.
He died again and went back to Hell to get the antidote for Chloe so she wouldn't die.
He used his angel wings as a shield to protect Chloe from Cain.
He jumped in front of the axe to save Chloe.
He left the only place he ever felt loved and respected and went back to Hell to save Chloe.
Exactly the scenes which made me love the show.

I was choked up from the beginning, but then I got to Lucifer’s “axe on chest” monologue... when I first saw that scene it felt like it should’ve had a 3rd “again”, but now I realize there were only two because he died for her twice and after that realization I was ugly crying through the rest of this vid 😭

Yeah, I'm one of the Lucifer fans, and I 100% agreed with you, Game of Thrones has gone downhill and is bad right now with its final season, and the series finale is tomorrow, oh boy, we are gonna witness a trainwreck of a ending for this show.
Chloe just can't win. At the end of season 2 Lucifer left her... Now at the end of season 4 he's left her again... At least he said goodbye this time 😔😔😔 #PatientlyWaitingForSeason5

This season 4 broke my heart into pieces and turned my soul into ashes. I hoped so bad that this time they would finally end together...
...and again misunderstandings, hesitations, angsts and prejudices, Chloe misled, and they separated, maybe forever, their love had to die before it had a chance to be born.
It hurts so much that only naively keeping on hoping there will be a season 5 keeps me alive.

Have good feeling there will be a season 5. The writers even have the opening for s5 and how Lucifer would return planned. So let's hope so. And thank you 💙

Oh great! I shouldn't have watched this, I've seen all but the last episode, now after watching this I am in tears. I think season 4 has to be the best one so far!
Thanks to Netflix, Season 4 was able to go much darker than if it was still on network TV.

Most Netflix shows only order 10 eps at time. They were 10 minutes longer than on fox though but yeah I agree would have been nice for the normal 23 eps. I was surprised how much they managed to fit into 10 episodes and still have it feel like a full season. They did it really well 💙
I think they're testing ratings with season 4. Let's not forget this show was already canceled by FOX
10 episodes with the amount of story from 20+ episodes. You cant really complain when the quality is this high

To be honest Lucifer is the one show ,which gave me salvation gave me a feeling to be home it helps me a lot i really don't watch many tv shows. This season was the best season so Far, I cried at the ending.
Lucifer is a different show and so awesome and delightfull ,full of funny stuff ,dramatic stuff and also love storys,I don't wan't the show to be done, I wan't to know how it could goes on again how the story would go on.
if there would be no 5th season.that would literally brake my heart.

That scene with the AX was probably one of the most powerful of the entire show. So many things were happening in just that scene. Chloe was coming to terms with what she saw and what she had almost done. In that moment she was experiencing the entire gambit of emotions from love to guilt. I also think she knew she was about to lose him for a while because of what she almost did. Chloe is a good person in the end and she wouldn't have been able to hide it from Lucifer for long. I also think it broke her heart to see him trust her so much never knowing what she almost did to him.
Lauren displayed that look of complete guilt so well in that scene. She touched him so gently like she was saying I'm sorry for more than just the ax. That scene killed me.
So beautiful all season 4 in 4 minutes. Amazing...
#Season5lucifer let's not lose this show along with so many others.

A worthy ending of the show BUT this is an icredible set-up for season 5 when you think about it, i mean we got 3 important character introductions. Imagine if we could see charlie grow up and asking about his uncle
