I cannot agree more about trying watches on in person. I had this idea in my head about how a whole list of watches would fit based on all their specs. I went in and tried them on and my list was blown out of the water. Watches I expected to like I didn't and ones I did not expect to like so much blew me away. Of the ones in the video, I'd go with the original Black Bay diver in 41mm. I do really like how much they've slimmed down the new 41mm version, so that might work. I really didn't like 2nd gen. Even the Black Bay GMT wore better than that thanks to some beveling on the case sides of the GMT.
Great video I love tudors I have the burgandy but 2022 I would love the new one on a not so jubilee bracelet 😂 I also have the s&g chrono lovely watch also but a bit blingy for everyday use. Keep up the good work.

I owned the original BBB41 ETA version for 8 years. Recently sold, and bought a 58. The fit on the 58 was much more comfortable and looked in proportion to my wrist size (about 7 inches). What made me keep the original black bay 41 for so long was mainly its "exclusivity" being a short production run for that model. In the end it wasn't justified enough to keep for mainly that reason. Wearability really matters a lot. I was able to try on the 54 yesterday and wow. Lighter than the 58 and wears like a dream. I was initially caught off guard with seeing the sheen dial. It definitely has a shimmer to it, which I'm not used to seeing on a BB dial. It gives the watch an elegant look to it in a way that isn't present in the other versions that came before.
Thanks for sharing, damn, I’m going to have to visit an AD and try the 54. I’m 100 percent on getting the 58. (Kind of holding out to see if the new clasp moved over to it soon). But hearing about the dial has me thinking the 54 would be a used pick up a few years down the line. (I like my watches with a bit of wear lol). Also, man that burgundy is just sooooo tasty with its pop of color.
You know! This is all perfectly said! Thank you so much for tjis comment! You’re so right about the BB58 size, proportions and general wearability. I think it’s those Goldilocks specifications so many people are looking for! The BB54 wears surprisingly well for how the specs sound!
I don’t think there’s any wrong answer on the BB Divers, they all pull vintage aesthetics from old Rolex and Tudor watches of the past. Each has their own markers that make them unique. The black bezel BB58 being the only with a red triangle @12, except the 41mm black bezel, and the gold numbers on the bezel. The 54 having the slightly different bezel grips. Etc. If you want a dive watch that doesn’t pull from the past go for Omega SMP 300m Diver, I have and love both equally even if Brit spaced the BB58 out of my 7 1/3 inch wrist size 😂 great video Brit!
Decide which ONE?!? Noooo.... I want them ALLLLLL!! I'm 1/3 of the way there, but my ADs are still saying it will be months before they see the new models. 😕
@@BrittPearceWatches Both the ADs here in San Diego told me "at least 4 months" for all the new models when you already had your 54. They must be shipping them across the pond by row boat.
RIGHT?! You will literally never notice them while wearing! Even right now I’m wearing my BB54, and I don’t really notice the rivets. 🤷🏻♀️ silly watch people… like ME! 😜 nitpicking too much!
Got a long day ahead of studying for final exams but sitting down and watching this with my 54 on wrist and some coffee really boosted my mood this morning! Thanks Britt!
I've said it before and I'll say it again, the bracelet detail ('faux rivets') is a plus for me. It's unique, and it's an aesthetic feature that works for me within the overall design. If/when I buy a BB58, I want them there.
I don’t know if this helps but when I broke my jaw and my teeth were wired together I took great solace in super noodles - if you put them in a plastic syringe you can shoot them through the gap at the back of your teeth and claim more sustenance than just sucking on tomato soup for weeks.
The OG 41 Black Bay. All the others are too small for me. I have the black bezel one and couldn't be happier with it. Also, can you tell us about the leather travel case in this video?
I have 6.5 wrist and I’m torn between the 54 and 58 (black gilt). They both look great on my wrist. The 58 is more eye-catching I think, but maybe the 54 will age better as it doesn’t try so hard to look “vintage” (it just is)?!
Solid watches and slightly more affordable but I’ve never been able to get past that numb snowflake hour hand. It just looks like a tacked on place holder. ‘Design to be added later.’
IMO BB58 is the best. BB41 mm is too thick. BB54 is too small. A dive watch should be readable under water. Because of the wide bezel- dial is small in dive watch. I think 37mm is small for divers.
The Black one definitely wins the bronze medal. Initially I would have given the Gold to the burgandy one , but I hate the rose logo as it is too poofy. Upon hearing all the pros and cons Tudor made further mistake by making the Burgundy the biggest of the three watches , so that leaves the Blue as the Gold Medal winner for me with the burgundy the silver medalist . That said the Blue looks the same as the Pelagos.
Thank you for the comprehensive comparison of these differing BBS. And, continue to plow forward in your recovery with humor, grace, and bravery. Wishing the best for you from Indiana, U.S.A.!
I’m pretty new to watch collecting and I’m struggling with finding a go anywhere do anything entry level luxury watch in the Longines, Tudor, Omega type category. I guess in my mind a blue dial can’t be go anywhere do anything because I might be wearing colors that don’t match blue and conversely if I’m wearing blue I don’t think something like a Black Bay in Black and Gold works. Im thinking something with a silver sunray type dial is the perfect neutral color but I see so few manufacturers make such dials. Am I missing something when it comes to dial color and bracelet when it comes to a go anywhere do anything? Side note I have a Hamilton Champagne dial so I don’t want to get another piece that would feel redundant.
Perfect timing on this video, I am considering a Tudor black bay amongst others. Just need to try them on and make a decision. In my mind I see the 58 being the best choice even though I have 7.5 inch wrists, but we shall see if it pans out that way.
Thank you for this video Britt! Sorry if others mentioned it, but the video’s spec table lists the 54 as thickness of 11.6mm. But you said it was 11mm. Also, I live in NYC, and still no 54 in stores. Any idea why the delay?
To everyone who keeps going on about the “faux rivets”: you will have noticed that Tudor kept them on the 54 and rightly so. These watches are heavily vintage inspired and therefore feature design elements that are creating that look. One of them are the rivets. The BB58 is inspired by a historic Submariner, which did have a riveted bracelet, so with all the other vintage inspired features on this watch a modern Oyster bracelet does not make any sense. Same goes for the BB54. If you want a modernised version, then the Pelagos is a good option.
I actually don’t mind the faux rivets. I’d prefer though that they’d just make them functional and maybe price them accordingly. Simple fix, and offer a Jubilee as well. Also, while we’re at it, integrate the burgundy bezel into the 58 and 54 line up. (Maybe with a gilded triangle and pip at the 12 o’clock position for the 58).
6:25. Britt, you say you have friends that are into watches..? 😢 I want some friends like that…😂 You’re looking beaut. Miss you over on TW, you’ll need to make yourself seen when you’re feeling ready. Everyone ❤’s you.
This is the first of your videos I catch..you just popped up on my feed. I agree with everything you said. I’ve been a watch wh$re for years. Then came the BB58 and made an honest woman out of me lol. So much so that I packed all my watches (about 20 of them ) and shipped them off to my friend Random Rob and he sold them off. I kept about 8 for sentimental reasons, but the BB58 is my daily driver. Not counting Gshocks cause as we all know, Gshocks don’t count as watches as they’re more like toys lol. Now this BB54 has caught my attention. Definitely a Tudor fan girl here so I wouldn’t have an issue with having multiples in my collection. Hopefully, folks do regret purchasing it due to the size and I can pick up for a nice discount in the “pre-owned” market ha!. Great video and great content. New sub.
Great video. I am waiting on the BB54. I have had the 58 as well as the 41 Smiley face. Do you have any issues with the t-fit clasp? I currently have the Pelagos 39 and BB Pro. Even with the t-fit, I still had to get aftermarket 1/2 link for both.
I dont think the 41 mm non smiley face is that thick. It looks thick , because it is slab sided, but in reality compared to other watches i own , its actually sits lower on the wrist than the dimensions suggest. I have a 7.5 inch wrist and the 41mm is good for me. It can be heavy for an everyday wearer as mine is the s and g version. I have tried on the 54 , and i was surprised how well it wears , it seems bigger than a 37 mm . Because the lug to lug is big , it doesnt seem much different to the 58. The small crown is the major difference though, and although it looks in proportion, it is harder to manipulate. I still think if they had made the bb at 40mm and 11mm thick , with a t fit bracelet, then it could have been perfect for any wrist size. Maybe do a 36mm version for the ladies and small fellas ? But it is what it is .

In all honesty, I think tudor should start removing the “vintage” look. I mean don’t get me wrong, I love the look, but I think it would look even better if they didn’t have the “patina” look. That’s why I’m setting for the Yema superman heritage.. anyways, hope you get better!!
Gah! It’s a tricky one! I kinda like the vintage vibe. The Hans Wilsdorf foundation are kinda cornering the market with Rolex being more modern designs and Tudor being vintage. But I know what you mean!
I think they should keep the heritage watch lines but move them under one umbrella and brand name They should explore the modern styling with the Pelagos line. But try a few variations, maybe indexes and dial colors. They have a huge market to build out and a back catalog to take styling cues from.
Sure not every one has seen your updates on your injury but still. How rude that comment abt opening your mouth sounds…😭 Nontheless i think the BB54 is one more big step in the right direction, and im very excited to see where Tudor is taking us for their next release

(Not Britt) and I could be wrong but the older burgundy BB was not cosc, it was an ETA movement. The new one is cosc though. And one of the latest is now Meta certified (can’t recall which, I’m not at that level of knowledge yet lol)
Very good video! Well done! May I ask one question please? What are the thicknesses of the case slabs themselves? Considering the crystal and case back shapes, the depth of case sides is probably the most important dimension wrt thickness. Thanks.
So happy I bought my BB58 on the leather. Then added the Forstner 3 link bracelet (no rivets!)😃 and their flexlink which allows 5mm of spring loaded flex. Perfect watch!
How did you manage to get such a large discount ?? When I bought my 58 a few years ago I tried all the main dealers and none would entertain any discount.
@@dlite1972 Hi Craig, it was a strange/accident… Tudor had a tour in the shopping centers (branded stand) to promote the brand… and selling the watches… and they have all models and the shop assistent was able to offer up to 10% for the models… and I do not know why but “burgundy” model he had only two pieces and offered me and my friend with such big discount.. but only this model… and the funny was that happend three days before watch&wonders 2023 where Tudor has been presented new models and one was “burgundy” of course with all those improvements…

This is so perfectly said! That’s exactly it! There’s no wrong answers! Just different, slight tweaks for different folks! 💕
Love the 54
Although I do like the looks of the Black Bay, I think I’m going to go with the Pelagos
Does the new Burgundy model with the in-house movement also include the rose logo on the dial and crown?
Interested in the BB54. Got a BB58 and meh. Love my OG BB on an Everest strap
Uncle Seiko makes half links for the black bays, and Steel Reef makes easy links for them. if you need more size adjustment!
Decide which ONE?!? Noooo.... I want them ALLLLLL!!
I'm 1/3 of the way there, but my ADs are still saying it will be months before they see the new models. 😕
Ahhh no way! Crumbs! I was just at the AD here in Bristol, they have the white dial GMT for sale in the window! 😱 they also had a P39 for sale!
@@BrittPearceWatches Both the ADs here in San Diego told me "at least 4 months" for all the new models when you already had your 54. They must be shipping them across the pond by row boat.
Great comparison 👍
I own both 58 colors and i love m
As a BB58 owner I genuinely forget it has faux- rivets until someone brings it up 😂
💯 People be like do the rivets bother you and I'm like ... the what?
I'm in the same boat also. Britt makes studying for finals go down easier though
Oh YES TO THE 54! 💕💕💕 and you got this!!! Study hard! The finish line is near!
@@mantisshadow8990 😭💕 oh this is just too kind! Study hard! You got this !
@@BrittPearceWatches ahh so cool you replied hahah. Cheers from a fellow Tudor fan!
Great channel, thank you!
I've said it before and I'll say it again, the bracelet detail ('faux rivets') is a plus for me. It's unique, and it's an aesthetic feature that works for me within the overall design. If/when I buy a BB58, I want them there.
Yay finally!!!
I don’t know if this helps but when I broke my jaw and my teeth were wired together I took great solace in super noodles - if you put them in a plastic syringe you can shoot them through the gap at the back of your teeth and claim more sustenance than just sucking on tomato soup for weeks.
That's Black Bay, Red Bay and Blue Bay
Dear Wanker !! Love your videos!! This was Very informative for my Future Tudor ! Thanks. Eric
The OG 41 Black Bay. All the others are too small for me. I have the black bezel one and couldn't be happier with it. Also, can you tell us about the leather travel case in this video?
The OG is just FAB!!! As for the leather travel case! There was a couple in here! Was it the one at 9:34 ? X
@@BrittPearceWatches yes ma'am. That's the one.
I have 6.5 wrist and I’m torn between the 54 and 58 (black gilt). They both look great on my wrist. The 58 is more eye-catching I think, but maybe the 54 will age better as it doesn’t try so hard to look “vintage” (it just is)?!
I love that blue dial without sun burst effect. In my opinion with colorful dials sunburst looks so bad. Not a fan of snowflake hands thou.
She is one of the best ventriloquist watch enthusiast on the youtubes
Hilarious.
😂😂 ONE OF THE BEST?! Name ONE ventriloquist watch enthusiast on UA-cam who is better than me….?!?! Lots of non-ventriloquists. 😜
In my mind I see the 58 being the best choice even though I have 7.5 inch wrists, but we shall see if it pans out that way.
i didnt realize the original ETA black bay 41 was so much slimmer than the in house one! definitely the one to get of the 41's
YES!!!! This is something I wish I highlighted!!!!
BB58 ftw
Right?! It’s sooo good!
Great presentation 😃
Keep it up
Ignore these bashers .
Not worth the attention 👎
Wow you’re terrific vibes
6:25. Britt, you say you have friends that are into watches..? 😢 I want some friends like that…😂
You’re looking beaut.
Miss you over on TW, you’ll need to make yourself seen when you’re feeling ready.
Everyone ❤’s you.
Beg to differ. The ultimate is the Black Bay Chrono Panda! 😂🐼
Liked and subscribed! I tried and liked the original Tudor BB burgundy. I have a 7” wrist, anything under 39-40mm looks small on it…
This is the first of your videos I catch..you just popped up on my feed.
I'm all about the BB58 in Blue with a nato strap. It occasionally gets a bracelet, but that's not my preference
Same! Love that combo 🙌🏽
Same here on a MN style Nato, very rarely goes on anything else 👍
Ahhh James always borrows it on a nato!! It’s just so dang GOOD!
I think you should thank all the early patrons 😎😎 like meeeee 😁😁
I agree wholeheartedly ❤
YOU KNOW! I agree!!! Watch this space! 😜😜💕💕next time there’s no new patrons (inevitably very soon!) we will do an EARLY BIRD THANK YOU! 💕✨✨✨ hopefully see you at the next Redbar Bristol!!!!
@@BrittPearceWatches Haha Awesome :P and yes definately!!!!!!!!!
I think they should keep the heritage watch lines but move them under one umbrella and brand name
They should explore the modern styling with the Pelagos line. But try a few variations, maybe indexes and dial colors.
They have a huge market to build out and a back catalog to take styling cues from.
Sure not every one has seen your updates on your injury but still. How rude that comment abt opening your mouth sounds…😭
Nontheless i think the BB54 is one more big step in the right direction, and im very excited to see where Tudor is taking us for their next release
54 or 58 ... i don't know 😢
Even if you hadn’t broken your jaw it would still be bad manners and vulgar to comment. Obviously it was some inner city sort with a name like Darren….Dazzer to his mates.
😂😂😂 right!? What a weird thing to say on a public forum!!
I thought the BB58 was 39mm so discounted it....I have a 7 3/4 inch wrist so when the new watches came out in March and they show cased the 41 in Burgundy and Jubilee??? wow wow wow that is the one for me.....can't wait for this to be come available...loving your content
Britt, Can you please find out if the "jubilee" bracelet on the new burgundy will fit the original smiley face Tudor 41mm?
You're always a breath of fresh air in this space and so many of our lives. Never forget you're amazing and beautiful ❤. Anybody got any tips about how not to fall in 😍 with a UA-camr? 🤔 Ideas welcome 😉X
Great content here, very well done. Thank you for all the help. I think that my next watch is going to be the black bay 58 maroon five link bracelet I absolutely love the look of the five link bracelet along with T clasp .. I love tutor I’m a big fan, and I truly hope that I am able to attain this Watch soon.
Hey Britt, any word on the accuracy of the burgundy BB? The 54 is the only one that’s COSC certified right?
(Not Britt) and I could be wrong but the older burgundy BB was not cosc, it was an ETA movement. The new one is cosc though.
And one of the latest is now Meta certified (can’t recall which, I’m not at that level of knowledge yet lol)
@@jamesb3557 not so sure. I looked on Tudor’s site and there’s no mention of certification on the new burgundy model. The 54 does mention COSC
The new Burgandy is METAS certified. All other BBs are COSC, and have been.
Britney ppl who wear Tudor need to walk fast and move their arms constantly... that way, it can be mistaken for a Rolex 😂🎉✌️
Normally against getting a second watch from the same brand but not with Tudor. Have the 41mm but the BB58 is tempting me.
Go onnnn! 😜 but I love getting watches from the same brands! I’ve got 2 tudors, 2 Rolexes and 2 Cartiers. 😅🤷🏻♀️ mainstream darling.
@@BrittPearceWatches noice!
Very good video! Well done!
May I ask one question please? What are the thicknesses of the case slabs themselves? Considering the crystal and case back shapes, the depth of case sides is probably the most important dimension wrt thickness.
Thanks.
Ouuu good question!!! I’m not home at the moment. But when I get back I still have all 3 at home!
@@BrittPearceWatchescool! Thanks!
Up to 60k fans 🎉❤❤❤
So happy I bought my BB58 on the leather. Then added the Forstner 3 link bracelet (no rivets!)😃 and their flexlink which allows 5mm of spring loaded flex. Perfect watch!
The black and the blue are both beautiful. I just wish they had crown guards for the millionth time Sorry Britt.
Edit: I love the rose logo
Yeah that rose logo had me starting to look at the earlier rangers.
I love crow of bb54 and lolipop 🤩
Oh same for me!!! It’s sooo good!
There are more Tudor BB variations than grains of sand in the universe
👍 I bought burgundy model with 40% store discount.. change the strap for rubber and I am super happy ;)
OH GET IN! That is a deal!!
unfortunately this watch hunting is never finishing 😄
Why the hell can’t they put a date on it.
Great video 👍
The Black Bay 54 may be my first Tudor.
I really do like the red bezel. I would buy that in a heart beat if there was a ceramic option. Thanks for the vid!!
The BB58 can be found used for really cheap since the new releases this year. Between $2,500-$3,000 depending on strap or bracelet. I’d go for the strap version and try to source a Tudor Ranger bracelet to get T-Fit all for less than a BB54.
I would lose my mind if the Black Bay 58 reintroduced the rose logo, with the thinner case profile and the T-fit clasp.
Awesome video and comparison, Britt! As always, great job. Your videos make me smile😊. Keep going
I love Tudor and their watches. Their quality has kept getting better every year. I’m glad they offer different sized black bays. You can wear them for different occasions.
