I’m pretty new to watch collecting and I’m struggling with finding a go anywhere do anything entry level luxury watch in the Longines, Tudor, Omega type category. I guess in my mind a blue dial can’t be go anywhere do anything because I might be wearing colors that don’t match blue and conversely if I’m wearing blue I don’t think something like a Black Bay in Black and Gold works. Im thinking something with a silver sunray type dial is the perfect neutral color but I see so few manufacturers make such dials. Am I missing something when it comes to dial color and bracelet when it comes to a go anywhere do anything? Side note I have a Hamilton Champagne dial so I don’t want to get another piece that would feel redundant.
Ah, the grey one! Yeah, big fans of Adrian’s straps here at Gringa HQ. The burgundy one on the watch is from Bulang & Sons, also highly recommended, a bit thicker than B&J straps but really nice feel.
I don’t think there’s any wrong answer on the BB Divers, they all pull vintage aesthetics from old Rolex and Tudor watches of the past. Each has their own markers that make them unique. The black bezel BB58 being the only with a red triangle @12, except the 41mm black bezel, and the gold numbers on the bezel. The 54 having the slightly different bezel grips. Etc. If you want a dive watch that doesn’t pull from the past go for Omega SMP 300m Diver, I have and love both equally even if Brit spaced the BB58 out of my 7 1/3 inch wrist size 😂 great video Brit!
saw the burgandy on a burgandy nato and it looked great. As a Tudor fan boy I cant choose because i like them all. The good news is Tudor has something for everyone, try then buy.
The BB58 can be found used for really cheap since the new releases this year. Between $2,500-$3,000 depending on strap or bracelet. I’d go for the strap version and try to source a Tudor Ranger bracelet to get T-Fit all for less than a BB54.
I own 2 of these watches & a 39 Explorer which wears much the same as the BB 58. I have no reservations about wearing any of them cos as you say there is no right or wrong here.
@@TheBigWrist I’ll never understand the idea of waiting a few days to offer an older model to someone on the list. They likely already had that model, why not offer it before placing you on a list lol. Anyways can’t wait to hear how it goes!
@@jamesb3557 I was in the shop a few days prior to the call and they did not have a older red bezel on display. I was there for a small watch meetup and the shop knew I was serious buyer waiting for the newer version. They one who called me was just a junior sales guy, not the manager who I am friends with. I don't think there was any shenanigan's going on, just an an attempt to sell me a watch that is very close to what I want.
I cannot agree more about trying watches on in person. I had this idea in my head about how a whole list of watches would fit based on all their specs. I went in and tried them on and my list was blown out of the water. Watches I expected to like I didn't and ones I did not expect to like so much blew me away. Of the ones in the video, I'd go with the original Black Bay diver in 41mm. I do really like how much they've slimmed down the new 41mm version, so that might work. I really didn't like 2nd gen. Even the Black Bay GMT wore better than that thanks to some beveling on the case sides of the GMT.
How did you manage to get such a large discount ?? When I bought my 58 a few years ago I tried all the main dealers and none would entertain any discount.
@@dlite1972 Hi Craig, it was a strange/accident… Tudor had a tour in the shopping centers (branded stand) to promote the brand… and selling the watches… and they have all models and the shop assistent was able to offer up to 10% for the models… and I do not know why but “burgundy” model he had only two pieces and offered me and my friend with such big discount.. but only this model… and the funny was that happend three days before watch&wonders 2023 where Tudor has been presented new models and one was “burgundy” of course with all those improvements…
Too many people watch too many watch videos (no offense) and think they “can’t” wear a certain sized watch because the internet said so. Thank you for your ethos of “try it on and wear what you like “.
Yeah! Or say I couldn’t wear this or that as it XXmm. I’ve tried 38mm dress watches on that feel like dinner plates and 40mm “sport” watches that wear way way smaller.
Right?! It’s a tricky one of like… I want to give general recommends (in case anyone is watching this looking for recommendations) but also… SOD THE RULES! It’s your money! Wear a watch the way you want to wear it!
Very good video! Well done! May I ask one question please? What are the thicknesses of the case slabs themselves? Considering the crystal and case back shapes, the depth of case sides is probably the most important dimension wrt thickness. Thanks.
Solid comparison! I think the BB GMT Diet Pepsi is the one for me but if picking one that didn’t have the GMT movement, think I’d go 58 gilt. I have a wrist that seems to move between 6.75 and 7 inches.
Thank you for a lovely video. I personally would go with the ETA version if someone has it or can purchase it. Not because I am a fan of Eta (Swatch group) but because of service options. If you buy a vintage version / used one you can swap the movement to Eta, SW Sellita or even PT5000. If you are buying one of the new ones, especially a used after the warranty is over... The movement is gonna cost quite a bit of money no?
I dont think the 41 mm non smiley face is that thick. It looks thick , because it is slab sided, but in reality compared to other watches i own , its actually sits lower on the wrist than the dimensions suggest. I have a 7.5 inch wrist and the 41mm is good for me. It can be heavy for an everyday wearer as mine is the s and g version. I have tried on the 54 , and i was surprised how well it wears , it seems bigger than a 37 mm . Because the lug to lug is big , it doesnt seem much different to the 58. The small crown is the major difference though, and although it looks in proportion, it is harder to manipulate. I still think if they had made the bb at 40mm and 11mm thick , with a t fit bracelet, then it could have been perfect for any wrist size. Maybe do a 36mm version for the ladies and small fellas ? But it is what it is .
To everyone who keeps going on about the “faux rivets”: you will have noticed that Tudor kept them on the 54 and rightly so. These watches are heavily vintage inspired and therefore feature design elements that are creating that look. One of them are the rivets. The BB58 is inspired by a historic Submariner, which did have a riveted bracelet, so with all the other vintage inspired features on this watch a modern Oyster bracelet does not make any sense. Same goes for the BB54. If you want a modernised version, then the Pelagos is a good option.
I actually don’t mind the faux rivets. I’d prefer though that they’d just make them functional and maybe price them accordingly. Simple fix, and offer a Jubilee as well. Also, while we’re at it, integrate the burgundy bezel into the 58 and 54 line up. (Maybe with a gilded triangle and pip at the 12 o’clock position for the 58).
I will miss mush mouth once jaw restraints are removed. As a BB58 black owner, I think it’s so perfect in size, design, and the added touches (gilt bezel, red triangle( Rolex Big Crown) snow flake second, coin edge bezel matches crown) all these little touches make it a very special watch.
Great video. I am waiting on the BB54. I have had the 58 as well as the 41 Smiley face. Do you have any issues with the t-fit clasp? I currently have the Pelagos 39 and BB Pro. Even with the t-fit, I still had to get aftermarket 1/2 link for both.
I don’t know if this helps but when I broke my jaw and my teeth were wired together I took great solace in super noodles - if you put them in a plastic syringe you can shoot them through the gap at the back of your teeth and claim more sustenance than just sucking on tomato soup for weeks.
YOU KNOW! I agree!!! Watch this space! 😜😜💕💕next time there’s no new patrons (inevitably very soon!) we will do an EARLY BIRD THANK YOU! 💕✨✨✨ hopefully see you at the next Redbar Bristol!!!!
Great vid and review Britt. I have the second gen BB Burgandy on distressed oem leather, and recently purchased the heritage guilted BB 58. I have a 7.25 - 7.5” wrist, and they both look and wear great. I love them both. And I don’t think I would get the T-fir for them, unless they offer the the small clasp option.
Brad at Brent Miller actually got it wrong, it’s a distressed black leather strap, but some of the distressing can make it appear brown. Looks ans wears great. And this is the last gen 41 Burgandy sans smiley face, COSC Cert Chronometer, in-house movement, which I think the movement on the new ine is the same, just METAS certified, signified by the - U on the end, if I remember correctly.
Nice analysis and comparison. I’ve never owned a Tudor and have been trying to find my entry point into the brand… I’ve always been a Rolex wearer. I have a 7” wrist and have tried both the BB58 and BB54 and find both too small based on my personal preferences. While I like the 41mm version the case is way too tall for the diameter. To me the sweet spot is the original 79220, particularly the black dial… yes, I know, it’s an eta movement, though the proportions between diameter and thickness, the rose logo, no faux rivets, and the scarcity of this reference is the reason why this is the one to add to my collection. And by the way your disco background and dance for five seconds was a great “interruption” to the video lol
These BB models have been unavailable in the ADs in Switzerland the past months. I guess their popularity has really risen, especially after Watches and Wonders. Britt, I wonder if you know hen they will restock?
The Tudor bb58 is my grail watch but then again I prefer dive watches with their rotating bezel because the clicking sound of the bezel helps me with my anxiety which is weird but yeah
So did I get this right: the bracelet options are are the definitely-not-jubilee and the oyster (without the 'not-' prefix) bracelets? 🤔 I'd still prefer the halfway house BB58 out of these three.
LOL! Oh YES! I shouldn’t have called it oyster either should I have! 😅 well spotted!!! It’s too hard to navigate this watch world. 😜 the best was the FXD when they couldn’t say it was a Velcro strap. So I think they called it a self adjusted adhesive…? 😂 or sometjing like that! 😂💕💕

Your vids are so well done these days. Spielberg, Scorsese and Tarantino could all learn something here.
Normally against getting a second watch from the same brand but not with Tudor. Have the 41mm but the BB58 is tempting me.
Go onnnn! 😜 but I love getting watches from the same brands! I’ve got 2 tudors, 2 Rolexes and 2 Cartiers. 😅🤷🏻♀️ mainstream darling.
@@BrittPearceWatches noice!
love the vids
This is exactly the video I needed!! Good looking out kiddo!!😊
Great video. Liked the sneaky B&J strap placement. :-) And the IBWC references. One big happy family of watch nerds.
The burgundy NATO??
@@watchpapi around 2:12 time stamp.
Ah, the grey one! Yeah, big fans of Adrian’s straps here at Gringa HQ. The burgundy one on the watch is from Bulang & Sons, also highly recommended, a bit thicker than B&J straps but really nice feel.
@@watchpapi big fan here too! I’ve got a few including a Gulf coloured one for my racing moods.
@@BassStevie nice 👌🏽
I was really wondering about the differences between these, so thanks for that!
This is so perfectly said! That’s exactly it! There’s no wrong answers! Just different, slight tweaks for different folks! 💕
Shout out for wearing a Seattle Mariners ball cap in the thumb nail
Glad to see you’re recovering nicely ❤️🩹
Oh bless you! Thank you!!! A little better every day! 💕
saw the burgandy on a burgandy nato and it looked great. As a Tudor fan boy I cant choose because i like them all. The good news is Tudor has something for everyone, try then buy.
I really do like the red bezel. I would buy that in a heart beat if there was a ceramic option. Thanks for the vid!!
I drooled on my shirt a bit seeing the new BB Burgundy with the new Metas certified movement. Is that ok? 😅
The BB58 can be found used for really cheap since the new releases this year. Between $2,500-$3,000 depending on strap or bracelet. I’d go for the strap version and try to source a Tudor Ranger bracelet to get T-Fit all for less than a BB54.
Such a great review!! :)
Why hasn't UA-cam invented a "double-like" or "love" button? Really enjoyed this video 😊 Thaanks, Brit!
i'm not even on the market for a tudor but i love your vids, they're nice to wind down too.
Oh bless! Thank you sooo much! I’ve always found my videos to be fantastic material if you’re struggling to fall asleep. 😜
I own 2 of these watches & a 39 Explorer which wears much the same as the BB 58. I have no reservations about wearing any of them cos as you say there is no right or wrong here.
I'd love the gilt bezel of BB58 and 5-link bracelet of BB on BB54.
THAT'D BE MY PICK ❤
I'm number 4 on the list for my local dealer for the new BB41 Jubilee-est with T-Fit clasp. Can't wait to get get it!
Ahhh nooo way!!! May the list move fast! That is too exciting!
@@BrittPearceWatches He called yesterday and offered me the older model, I passed. Waiting the one I want.
@@TheBigWrist thanks I didn’t mean to sound disparaging to the AD, sounds like they really tried. Thanks for sharing 🙏
Thanks for the chart, so many presenters make it so hard to compare when they rattle off statistics one after the other…
great vid britt!
👍 I bought burgundy model with 40% store discount.. change the strap for rubber and I am super happy ;)
OH GET IN! That is a deal!!
unfortunately this watch hunting is never finishing 😄
Great comparison video!!! Keep up the great work Brit😊
Nice video ---- Pope Tier Rules !!! --- I am BINGE WATCHING all your videos this weekend (AND ALL THE ADDS) !!!!!
I have the Burgundy BB 41 from 2023. I want the BB54. Lol even with my 7 1/2 inch wrist…….nothing better like a Tfit.
I pick up a bb54 next week, thank you so much for the review.
Ahhh no WAY! Big congrats! That is so exciting! Hope you love it!
thank you for the comparison of my favourite watch brand.
Great video. I own 3 Tudors. Love them. However is Chew dor nor Two dor. 😅.
Very good video! Well done!
May I ask one question please? What are the thicknesses of the case slabs themselves? Considering the crystal and case back shapes, the depth of case sides is probably the most important dimension wrt thickness.
Thanks.
Ouuu good question!!! I’m not home at the moment. But when I get back I still have all 3 at home!
@@BrittPearceWatchescool! Thanks!
Specification chart width for the bb54 seems to be not updated, chart shows 11.6 instead of 11.
I have yet to try on the 54. One day soon.
Ahh! Hopefully not long! 💕💕💕
1:33 THIS WILL ACTUALLY MAKE A GREAT 3PC BLACKBAY COLLECTION
Solid comparison!
I think the BB GMT Diet Pepsi is the one for me but if picking one that didn’t have the GMT movement, think I’d go 58 gilt. I have a wrist that seems to move between 6.75 and 7 inches.
My AD has a BB54 in ready to collect......will look lovely next to my BBPro just not sure i should pull the trigger and go for the 58 in blue ???
No bad choices there, both epic.
Great video as always! I prefer the Rose logo over the Shield. Cheers.
Hi Brit, i have a small wrist. To me, it Will be perfect if Tudor blend the three together. Small diameter, but with red Bezel, and blue or black dial
That BB 54 looks amazing!
This was a nicely shot video
Thank you for a lovely video.
I personally would go with the ETA version if someone has it or can purchase it. Not because I am a fan of Eta (Swatch group) but because of service options.
If you buy a vintage version / used one you can swap the movement to Eta, SW Sellita or even PT5000.
If you are buying one of the new ones, especially a used after the warranty is over... The movement is gonna cost quite a bit of money no?
I own the 41 and it's PERRRFECT
Hi Britt - I know you are a big Chopard Alpine Eagle fan and curious about your thoughts on the new release of the summit collection !
You are a star, Brittany. Cheers 🍻!
I think you should thank all the early patrons 😎😎 like meeeee 😁😁
I agree wholeheartedly ❤
YOU KNOW! I agree!!! Watch this space! 😜😜💕💕next time there’s no new patrons (inevitably very soon!) we will do an EARLY BIRD THANK YOU! 💕✨✨✨ hopefully see you at the next Redbar Bristol!!!!
@@BrittPearceWatches Haha Awesome :P and yes definately!!!!!!!!!
Would love to see the watch on the leather.
@@jamesb3557 ua-cam.com/video/SjlY7L5HrYs/v-deo.html
Brad at Brent Miller actually got it wrong, it’s a distressed black leather strap, but some of the distressing can make it appear brown. Looks ans wears great. And this is the last gen 41 Burgandy sans smiley face, COSC Cert Chronometer, in-house movement, which I think the movement on the new ine is the same, just METAS certified, signified by the - U on the end, if I remember correctly.
7:45 is that rust on the BB54 bracelet ?
The black and the blue are both beautiful. I just wish they had crown guards for the millionth time Sorry Britt.
Edit: I love the rose logo
Yeah that rose logo had me starting to look at the earlier rangers.
The Tudor bb58 is my grail watch but then again I prefer dive watches with their rotating bezel because the clicking sound of the bezel helps me with my anxiety which is weird but yeah
fantastic stuff
Beg to differ. The ultimate is the Black Bay Chrono Panda! 😂🐼
