It's no wander our elite military units here in the U.S. use Kali and it's principals for their CQB training. I would love to have the opportunity to train with Mr. Marcaida.
Doug Marcaida Hi Master My name is majed al Kalha I hope you show my video and i care about your opinion ua-cam.com/video/QlTCwUTQo0Q/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/-vyXHH82r6o/v-deo.html
I'd love to see what Mr. Marcaida would do with the more traditional sized claw hammer, tomahawk or hatchet with more ordinary longer handle lengths. They are difficult to carry concealed, but in many people's environment, job, and lifestyle they are common tools that don't need to be concealed. To paraphrase Clint Smith, it's hard to find people who survived real fights who complain that their weapon was too big.
Lover and a fighter. Sometimes having friends means making enemies. It's always good to practice something and train, than not. Even if the other guy has more experience, you might just have an edge instead of being the thoughtless man who just gets tangled up by his own body. tuff guys might just be pretty tough, but sometimes a broad grasp isn't the same as training towards a precision point. The knife just raises the steaks. Immensely.
Insane fluidity and control, mad respect at his dedication and knowledge. Why doesn't he break from his target after dispatching them though? By hanging out near the person he just brought to the ground he's leaving himself open to counter attack, seems dangerous. Train how you'd fight, defend yourself and get to safety.
whatta moves! Impresive! Sir i'm a great fan of yours. Where can i buy folding karambit knifes? Im from Iligan City,Phil. btw :) asa dapita imo training ana?hehe
Awesome! if you want Kevin Secours another fluid karambit operator, his channel is systemacanada and he replies to his comments frequently, he just finished working on Splinter cell Blacklist where the main character's signature weapon was a karambit.
very fluid movement an awesome and terrible proof of what training can do training trumps talent every time but having both is skilled showing what a mind with out anger or hate can do this is not something you would not see in a street fight this is made for one reason... to kill having a clear head means you can think like your opponent and know how to counter before he makes a move
karate is complimented by this combat system along with judo. having a third degree in shotokan , kempo or goju karate and a third degree in judo while knowing this would teach you guerilla warfare techniques that most would die to learn.
never underestimate the power of the open hand strike , it can deafen you and with enough accuracy and strength it may cause a mild to heavy concussion
those moves work great, especially when the opponent isn't resisting. I use the same techniques when caught in a dark alley with a bad guy and pray to god he is a cooperative opponent!
Holy crap people like you are annoying. I'm pretty sure that it was clear this is not a real fight. This is nothing more than a demonstration of techniques and concepts. Are you too silly to use common sense and decipher something as simple as that?
don't worry they will be cooperative for sure. anybody who get stabbed, cut or sliced will be in a state of shock by a few seconds and that's all the time you need to make as many follow up strikes as you can to kill the bad guy or make a run for it. Try it sometime you'll know it's a given fact.
You honestly dont think that Kali works in the streets? LOL.. put a knife in a Dougs hands and he'll probably make sushi of anyone out there as long as there are no guns involved..
we are lovers not fighters, we like having friends instead of enemies.
Doug is one very dangerous man.
Well, I wasn't lying . Thanks.
It's even more impressive when you consider that Doug finds the perfect angle on all those locks...
Beautiful movement!!
Sooooo elegant! I LOVE seeing Kali so well applied... Wow. Great work!

That had Ana amazing flow to to it. Definitely cool to watch, don't know how practical it would be in a real fight though.

Hes using Kali, it says so in the channels name.
Silat, Kali, Panantukan.
Poor Anthony , I feel very sorry for him
art
This is the art of kali traditional filipino martial arts. Focus on blades and sticks
Doug must be killer
Is really like to see this guy go up to so called tuff guys and fight with them
Ask this guy to do a segment for your channel
In a street fight it would be different. I wouldn’t stay in one place. This is a demonstration, nothing more.
Correct , but knowing the principles and basics sure helps
Such overkill unless in wartime.
Is this the art that killed the great explorer - Ferdinand Magellan?
its not a real fight, it's a demo.
PHILIPPINES!!
Dear badass, WHO ARE YOU AND WHERE CAN WE FIND YOUR SCHOOL???!!!! Sincerely, Ninjas and U.S. Navy SEALs.

Very true. Couldn't agree more!
Gurney said killing with the tip lacks artistry...it should be done with the edge. his father became agitated, You do it however you can, tip or edge!
Freakin awsome
21 people just realized their black belt in Karate is utterly useless in the real world.
So are flowy techniques that aren't practiced against resistance fyi
i just realized u dont know shit about karate and btw his opponent isnt resisting.
lolol YOU don't know anything about Doug.
i like my pants above my enkles in publick thank you very mutch
karate is complimented by this combat system along with judo. having a third degree in shotokan , kempo or goju karate and a third degree in judo while knowing this would teach you guerilla warfare techniques that most would die to learn.
Do you do dance lessons too, Doug? XD
That's dance already.. the dance of death.
SOME SPLINTER CELL SHHIT
I wanna see him with a Muay thai or an MMA fighter :D
never underestimate the power of the open hand strike , it can deafen you and with enough accuracy and strength it may cause a mild to heavy concussion
your blades, will keel
Some of these techniques require control of the enemy by grabbing his/ her clothing/ hair. What if my opponent is bald & naked tho 🤔
Красавчик!
👍
厉害
Brazil.
I am starting fmp by seeing him good one

I don't think he uses a tomahawk as well as a knife.
Yeah, but I bet he can turn almost anyone into sashimi with either weapon, lol.
dakila
those moves work great, especially when the opponent isn't resisting. I use the same techniques when caught in a dark alley with a bad guy and pray to god he is a cooperative opponent!
