I already know the comic art is pre-made (I have this manga) but I was impressed by the lighting of the animation. The colours and backdrops are GORGEOUS! Wonderful voices and I kind of cackled when I recognized Todd Haberkorn's voice. I think it's a cute voice for this version of Link. He's only a tween here so it fits.
Poor uncle. In the manga Link said "If you you die, I'll be alone..." Poor thing...

Idk if anyone else has mentioned this, but the VA for Link is SPOT ON. I can EASILY imagine that voice doing the gasps and grunts that we hear in the various games. This is a huge continuity win right here.

It is made for all fans around the world, not just english fans, hence the reason why this line wasn't used (and because this is an adaptation from a manga where the line isn't even known).

There was a Zelda Cartoon Series already created. It just didn't get the amount of attention needed to keep it going so it only aired 13 episodes. It was supposed to continue with more episodes but had been canceled alongside The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! by Nintendo.

Ngl scared me so bad when Link started talking XD But you did it right oh my gosh!! As a long time Zelda fan, this made me proud. This made me very proud because it was done so well. You pulled it off perfectly and I wish there were more of it. Also that ending lowkey gave me flashbacks of Ike and Greil. Didn't realize I was gonna be crying today, thanks 😂

I personally think that they should have used Vic Mignogna's Edward Elric voice for Link over Todd Haberkorn's Natsu Dragneel voice and just have them switch roles. That voice just doesn't suit Link as well as Vic's could.

I saw a video about SD2SNES and the guy mentioned a version of ALTTP with cutscenes, so I searched for that and finally came to this.
So if the project was cancelled I guess the game doesn't have ALL the "cutscenes" it was supposed to.

Link sounds a lot better here than he does does in the official Zelda cartoon. Just goes to show what a brilliant job the voice actors (and everyone else who worked on this short) did here.
It's a shame that the Zeldamotion project got cancelled because this is really good and it would nice to have this be an actual anime series.

I just came across this vid and I am really sad that this project was cancelled. The animation is smooth, quite literally the smoothest I've ever seen as far as fanmade material is concerned. The voice acting was just amazing. The episode ended at just the right spot to make even people who've played the game/read the manga want to see how it plays out, myself included. 10/10, nothing less.

It's kinda weird, but I always imagined Link sounding like Edward Elric from FMA. Ed's VA is credited here as Aghanim. Tsk, so close XP But I do like Link's VA (who also played Ling -- hey, one letter off!), he fits Link very well, I think.

This is awesome! I wouldn't call the animation top quality, but I love its style... Which makes it so much more charming. My first thought was "is Link gonna talk" then I heard it and was instantly thinking " No way!" The voice totally suites link to a tee. Just so much love for this, it needs to get more popular.

Kickstart this if you like wasting money. Nintendo will never let this see the light of day if it is successful. Also, Kickstarter is notorious for people keeping the money after failed projects.

As well, backer rewards are and have always been conditional on the project being completed, not just funded. You aren't paying for a product, you're paying for the production. Despite this situation where projects have no obligation to return money to backers, many big name projects have done just that.

From the first 3 secs of the ep i was so glad to see a very good Zelda Animation, the nature is beautifully created... but then the characters came.
i like how the uncle's eye color changed during the fight it went from brown at the orchid to green in the castle... hyrule is truely a magical place

Wish they'd stick to how the game actually happens, the grandfather is a knight, link had a single apple tree and helped around the house and sleeps most of the day away. Not him wanting to be a farmer, link does not think about his future link most teenagers. He eats, does some work and sleeps most the day away if he can get away with it. Also link comes across the grandfather after he lost a battle, its unclear who killed him. Its good despite these issue, but it can be better, like the other zelda project out there. I believe its called the legend of zelda UO
It based more off the manga by Akira Himekawa. Even the art style is the same. It's a great tribute to the manga though. :) She made manga for various games. They're all really good.

Aiji Furupsu They're not trying to be accurate to the game. They're trying to be accurate to the manga. It doesn't matter if it's not accurate to the game because that's not what they're aiming for.
It isn't totally accurate, but mostly because they wanted it to flow more story wise. I'm not saying the game didn't flow, it's just that there are a lot of game segments that may seem odd in a story, at least on my opinion. I just feel that games are that way. Also, you have to understand that they put a many many hours long game into one volume of manga. But, they did add an original character that was totally unnecessary. But I'd like to look at this more at a storytelling standpoint because this should be able to stand on its own from the game. Anyway, both are great and I'm happy with what I got. But that's just my opinion. I resource your opinion to because there are some big things they left out. I'm still just marveling over the fact that someone created a manga and these guys made a video. Sorry that was really long.

Is there by any chance that there is a copy of the opening tune (the lovely harps)(perhaps a download) ? I loved that tune. The episode still made me cry, even though it's been almost a year since I've seen this. I am currently in the works of first writing my fan-fiction Zelda Series and I'm still trying to find out a title for it. After I finish that, I want to learn how to animate and make a series about it. I'm not a good drawer, but I have a feeling that'll change soon :)
Also, in regards for voice-acting, I've seen two different types of microphones that seem similar, but I'm not sure which one is necessarily better than the other one. The Sno-ball and then there's the Blue-Yeti-Pro. The sno-ball is only 50.00, while the other one is around 200.00. My preference is with the latter, but then again, I'm not really sure.
This was great and much much more gratifying as a fan than that one 90's cartoon came out, To me this was spot on in every aspect, Cant wait for a part 2!

I can't express enough how awesome this is. I reread the Majora's Mask manga last week and was thinking how perfectly Vic Mignogna would fit the Hero of Time, so to see this project with him as one of the voices made me jump in excitement!

I must say that I feel the voice acting isn't A+, but please do not take it as a harsh statement, I understand that this is a fan production and professional voice actors are harder to become available. What you had was still wonderful, especially for Uncle's character.

Very well done! I've been a LoZ fan since the very start (born in 1985 and completed the original before kindergarten 😜) so I take the series seriously and I can honestly say that this is the best fanmade cartoon I've seen. thank you! I can't wait for more. 💜 sincerely, Rainey Ordon

I still support you man, despite the hate. I do believe that the animation is too slow to convey and Link's vouce could be better, but nonetheless it was a real pleasure to watch!
This looks like it has some promise, it just needs a better animation value. I am blown away that you were able to get a hold of Todd Haberkorn and Vic Mignogna. Once I know I can afford to donate a little money I'd love to help this project.
First time anything fan made gave me tears in my life. It's it s mostly thanks to the ending with the uncle death + credits song played.
