It's a live performance for a public event, not an actual show so that's maybe why. It seems to be that people talk and cheer at west end live so makes sense that there's no strict rule about it here like there is in the actual theatre

Wow, Carrie’s emotions are just beautiful. I love the way she interprets the song, her body language, pacing, tone and expressions are just perfect. The final 3 “I love him’s” give me chills and makes me tear up every time. I wondered what her rendition was going to be like and it’s incredible. No wonder they wanted to keep her for the 30th anniversary!
Carrie Hope Fletcher IS Eponine. Fabulous actress/singer. No wonder Les Mis extended her stay and keeps bringing her back.

I love her version more than Sam's. Sam's good but her portrayal of the character lacks somethings which Carrie had perfectly relayed. However, is it just me or the bad audio recording? Don't get me wrong Carrie can sing and belt but before getting to the high notes, she goes flat first just for a few seconds before reaching the right note.

She's singing outside which is hard enough as it is, and also in front of a crowd that are talking the whole way through. It won't be perfect. Although I think it is

You may have tactfully pointed out that I'm tone deaf instead saying that I have no regard for her talent. I applaud you both. If you were able to do that. I did not make that comment to spite Carrie.
I'm not saying you're tone deaf, I'm saying there's no need to point out something that you think is a flaw in such an incredible performance.

+gray1730 lacks the emotion? that's subjective. I don't feel any emotion with Carrie aside from that she looks and sounds older to be an eponine. On top of that, Carrie's voice is subpar which is OBJECTIVE.

+Bryan Cruz Carrie has always had a naturally strong voice, she is not "doing Lea's version" This is how she wants to sing this song and this is the way she feels most comfortable doing it.
Actually Carrie sang this so strongly because of what the producers told her and how she herself interpreted the character. She doesn't let eponine get to upset because she perseives her as someone who's had to build up a wall of emotions due to having to grow up to quickly and she can't let that wall down. The producers also told her never to let eponine cry due to a similar reason.
i find carrie and myself's acting decisions very similar.
They kept talking throughout the performance but by the climax she got them to all shut up
