Great video Its nice too see a technician show the faults and how to fix it. It’s too bad they made this new Ford explore hybrid so cheap Ford motor company should take a page from Toyota’s book on how to build a proper hybrid vehicle that will Hold up overtime and not have so many issues when it’s fairly new I guess that’s what happens when car companies don’t test their products before they send it to the market for people to purchase maybe the police forces should stop by these vehicles and if they want to hybrid get a Toyota Highlander hybrid instead.
Duel battery system.. Only way to get 24 volts shorted to ground..I suspect if you open it up. You will see two terminals touching from all the stress on that block...
Most every agency in CA will be getting only these things soon. My city has a bunch already ready to be outfitted. They've got great acceleration off the line over the natural V6's but we'll see....
That's why I wish the 3.3L V6 engine without hybrid system is available with base or XLT trims. I know it's the least powerful engine but without turbo boost or complicated hybrid system it should be the most reliable engine. Unfortunately the 3.3L V6 naturally aspirated engine is available only with fleet Ford Explorer 😔 Regards.
Look at some of my former replies for an imgur link . It's a voltage drop test. Test 5 is specific to under hood fuse boxes. Engine running, headlights on, meter set to 20vdc. Positive battery post to each fuse in the underhood fuse box and each big cable attached to the underhood fuse block. A good voltage drop reading will be 4/100th of a volt. Higher current circuits may be 3/10th of a volt. But you need to step by step that circuit to verify it's the overall circuit with that much drop, not just one connection or cable.
Great video! We've had issues after changing out a headlight (seems it needs to be initialized by the dealer) because the signal will only work with the lights on and it won't wig wag. We've seen this with every Interceptor needing a headlight replacement (3 vehicles). Have you come across this?
@@AnthonyJ350 There is a TSB that fixes the turn signal problem. I cant remember the exact instructions but I believe it involves splicing the 2 ground wires together on the headlight assembly connector.
